I have taken my daughter here since her first haircut and Ms. Norma is the best!! The kids love it and the ladies are wonderful!!
I made the repeated mistake of taking my kids here, until I finally became fed up of the attitude and atmosphere. This place is terrible. The entire reason it is still in business is because of location and lack of any competition. The stylists here seem horribly apathetic about their jobs and about children in general. The front desk reception is almost consistently rude and they charge over and above what they should for the quality of haircut. I won't go into the filthy bite size toys they hand your children while they hack away, nor will I explain the awful chair contraptions. Do yourself and your children a favor and look elsewhere. Possibly where you can at least get a smile with your 20% tip.
The haircut was fine (looked just like every other little boy haircut), but the "First Haircut" certificate and precious lock of hair make this salon a must for their first cut (if you're a sentimental dork, like me)! I think I'll be taking him to Sarah @ Hairdrezzers from now on so he can get a faux-hawk or something stylish and fun.
No matter how hard the kid flails and screams, these hairdressers can handle it and the kid will leave with a good haircut. We were so glad we paid a measly $4 more than what we'd pay at Super Cuts or Fantastic Sam's (we paid $14 + tip) to get our son's 1st haircut. There were toys to distract him, special chairs so the kids could pretend to steer a car while seated, etc.. They even gave us a souvenir, "1st haircut" certificate with my son's hair taped on it. It was great!
My son started getting haircuts here when he was a toddler. He's a preteen now and we still go. This is the only place I've been able to find where he walks out with a good cut for a good price. This is also the only place I've had no trouble getting him to go to because he knows he'll be in and out quickly and lookin' good.
Love this salon for a quick cut. I was a little apprehensive to get my daughters hair cut for the first time, she is not a fan of people she does not know touching her. Michelle was wonderful. Very gentle and quick and my daughter did great! I gave 4 stars because the salon and waiting area was very crowded, I think they could remove all the dresses they have for sale and expand the waiting area. I would recommend making an appointment.
I love taking my daughter's there. They, treat the girls like princesses. They wash, cut and EVEN style there hair. It is not inexpensive. It's also located at the Grossmont Center Mall. My girls love it there and have told me that they do not want to go anywhere else. That's why I write this review.
