OMG! One of the best! The runs are super long and challenging, which made the gondola / lift rides totally worth it! I have to say though, because of the long lift rides, i got cold sitting on the lifts! LOL

the runs looked like they are vertical drops from the edge, but once you started, they are actually manageable. The view on top of the mountains were gorgeous, esp the sunset! you can oversee the range of the mountains from afar!

Keystone is probably my favorite of the "unrestricted" Epic Local pass resorts.  They open early in the season and make a pretty damn fine snow for those times when Mother Nature is refusing to cooperate.  I was there a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with the snow quality at a time when everyone was bitching about there being no snow in the mountains.

Their runs are varied and wide open, typically.  You can run laps on the front side down to Montezuma or go even further down to Summit Express if the lines at Monte are too long.  Or you can head to the Outback and find tree runs or even hike-to skiing.  All levels will be satisfied.

Did I mention they have night skiing?  They do, and it's a pretty unique thing to do if you ever get the chance.  I love the fact that when I drive up to the mountains at night and I'm coming down from Loveland Pass via US6, Keystone is all lit up in front of me.  There's nothing like it.

Yeah, there are definitely some low points:  Mozart gets incredibly icy and crowded on your way to the Outback.  Tourists scraping down Mozart  is definitely one of my least favorite things about skiing in general.  The lift lines can get a little ridiculous at times.  But nothing like the worst lift lines in the industry at Breck.  Also, while the views are great from the top, you can see Breckinridge from there, and I just plain hate that place.  Even having to see it from across the valley gets my hackles up.

Apres ski at the Kickapoo is great too, as well as the fact that the free parking is pretty damn close to the gondola if you get there at the right time.

Ski fast, my friends, but always stay in control!!

I just have to upgrade the review on this resort. I wasn't as tired as my first trip here, so I was able to enjoy the long (blue-intermediate) runs from top to bottom and simply the best ones out there. They have 2 gondolas connecting the 2 peaks which I didn't know before and there are more intermediate runs that I see and not as crowded as Breckenridge.

The views are still majestic from every lift you ended up at and they even built an ice castle for kids to go inside and check it out on top of the main gondola. Seriously this resort rocks, I would totally come back here next time and definitely when it's powder, because the runs were super long and with powder, it made it even more fun to glide on snow.

It is important to note that I've skied most of my life in the Northeast, but have skied a few other resorts in CO.

The overall experience here was great for a group of six teenage boys (13 to 16) and a few dads.  Locals were complaining of the lack of snow, but there was no shortage of open trails even though most resorts out West during Christmas week 2011 were suffering from a lack of snow.   Easy parking options, nice gondola to the top, great trails, amazing views, good food options and just an overall welcoming environment in all areas of the resort.

On the ski school specifically ... My son signed up three day group lesson limited to four participants.  They messed up the first day putting him in a larger group of 10.  The ski school management made up for the mistake by giving him a full day private lesson for free the next day & then followed by the three day semi-private lessons with the same instructor.  He went from being a non-skier to being able to ski all the Blue trails after these four days!  It was an extremely busy period and I am sure there were other customer issues, but I truly appreciated there no nonsense approach to making the situation right for us.

    Great skiing, but one complaint:

There used top be small Dixie cups by the water fountains.  This year, they are gone.  How cheap can you get?  Charge $90+ for a lift ticket, then charge 10 cents for a cup?  Was that necessary so CEO Rob could afford his recently purchased $3M house?!

Very penny-wise, pound-foolish, Vail Resorts.  I'll go to Copper next time to save my 10 cents!

WOOHOO! Snowboard season is at hand and it is time to roll out the reviews. I have been waiting all year for this to come around and I am starting with our personal favorite, the mighty mighty Keystone.

No pictures can do justice to the beauty of this mountain, one of the crown jewels of Summit County along with Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain. The majestic views from 14,500 feet above sea level are nothing short of breath taking, so much so this is where we honeymooned. I can't say enough about the panoramic vistas, jaw dropping views and countless times I had to stop boarding to snap pictures. I LOVE Keystone.

The snowboarding is beyond belief and showcases the Rockies legendary "champagne snow". We have been lucky enough to get to Keystone right after a decent dump of freshies and I can't imagine better snow, the Sierra's just can't compare. The trails are a great mix, with plenty of challenging runs, shoots and bombs amongst a smattering of green runs for the newbs. I have noticed the green runs at the bottom of the mountain can get crazy icy, so beware. The A51 Terrain Park is world class and has a super pipe, jibs, boxes, rails and anything else you could imagine in a well imagined lay out.

The villages of Keystone themselves are almost like a pair of Olympic villages, you can park your car and have no need to see it again all weekend. Bars, Restaurants and shops are all walkable and with surroundings of this caliber, take the extra time to absorb it all. Want a great place for a fun and unique dining experience? Check out Der Fondue Chessel on the top of the North Peak. You simply have not had fondue until you have eaten it at 11,000 feet above sea level. Warning: Altitude seems to half my alcohol tolerance, 1 beer I am tipsy, 2 beers and I am dancing, 3 and I am slurring! You have been advised.

With three unbelievable mountains, tons of outdoor adventures, lodging and dining all in two unique villages Keystone really shows what the Rockies has to offer. Go. NOW!

Coming from NY, this mountain (Mountain House) impressed me - what that says, I don't know! Three of us took a private lesson with Nelson. He did a great job working with 3 individuals at very different ability levels.  He got all three of us to improve in our skiing abilities and was very personable and nice.

We stayed on the bunny/beginner slopes, but were able to learn stopping, parallel skiing and pizza turns among other things. Private lessons are costly but the individual attention is well worth it. If you extend from a half day to a full day, you save a lot of money and get great lessons.

The food at the slopes is overpriced as is to be expected, but you can bring own lunch.  They have lockers or bucket rentals for your stuff. It is very expensive to rent equipment on site. However, we rented from a third party and had a terrible experience so sometimes paying more is worth it.

Lift tickets are insanely expensive but seem to be on par with other big resorts in CO. Workers are very nice and helpful

Only had a single day to ski with our family during a brief christmas vacation and locals suggested keystone for long runs.   They were making snow as natural stuff was lacking.  Put our two 5 year olds in ski school and went to meet up with our friends for skiing.  Before I had a chance to snap into my bindings we got a call from the ski school, our son was up at the top of mountain and pretty sick.  We asked that they bring him down and I met them at ski school.  I was happy the instructor was observant and immediately contacted us.  The management even refunded my sons lesson payment.  I did not get to ski that day, but was happy with thier professional and prompt operation.  My wife and daughter had a great day on the mountain, while us boys just chilled.  BTW the village is cute even if you don't ski, stop by and take a walk.

We also stopped by the outdoor ice rink one day to teach our kids ice skating,
it is the largest outdoor ski rink in colorado and they run a zamboni on it even though its really a lake.  Very fun and very scenic.  Had a christmas tree in the middle with benches around it.  While I was resting there a couple skated over,
sat in the bench next to me and before I could blink the guy had pulled a box out and got down on one knee to propose, she said YES and that would be a testament to a great spot.

We come here every year in October for a conference which is hosted by Keystone. Every year when driving up we are always excited. Asking questions like I wonder what my condo is going to look like this year, since they are all different and privately owned. One year our entire condo was decked out in mountain Bears. the condos are big enough for our entire group and have full kitchens so we live it up eating and drinking.

Not only that there is plenty to do. When not in the conference I like to take small hike which can be found everywhere. I like the ones near Snakes river.

Keystone resort itself makes for a great convention place. They cater and the food really is not all that bad. I usually go back for seconds. The desserts are the best.

I have never skied or snowboarded here but staying here for the conference makes me want to come back and do so. Plus I here when coming back for such activities that they have cheaper rates than say Vail, breck or many of the others. Which is good news to me.

Oh Keystone. How I love thee.

This place is unbelievable. Yes Vail is bigger, Vail is probably nicer in many ways. but Keystone is just so amazingly gorgeous and breathtaking that I don't think you would want to ever leave.

I had the luxury of visiting this resort both in the summer and in the winter time. Although I can't speak much for the snow since last year their coverage was just terrible, the summer was an incredible experience.

The mountain is looming, the forest, trees and every bit of nature is exhilarating and there is simply so much to do. All the lodging here is pretty nice to standard and the gondolas take you all the way to the top! You can rent bikes and take hiking tours. You can lounge around in one of their spa properties.

I got bit by a spider while I was here. But that's irrelevant. This place rocks. Would come back again!

I am a fan of Keystone, but I have experienced better, so let's go with 3.5 stars rounding up to 4.

I mean, I really do go to Keystone quite a bit because it's so easy to get to. I like to avoid the tunnel no matter what and don't mind driving 7 extra miles past A-Basin to get to Keysone.

Sweet free parking, fast lifts from the base (including a gondola and a regular high speed), and decent terrain all around.  One thing that really gets me though is that on the front side of the mountain, there is really only ONE trail where everyone ends up. So it gets chopped up and icy pretty early on in the day.... I like the backsides/mountains mostly - Outback in particular is great.

I'm sad it's closed for the season.  Nice little village, friendly people, and overall a pretty decent resort experience.

I have a confession to make.
I'm addicted to white powdery substances.  The kind that makes you go "WHOOOOO WHOOOO"

Like Bubb Rubb.  And, I'm Lil' Sis.

    Whistle go "WHOOOO WHOOOOOO"

I ventured to Keystone after waiting in lines at Brekenridge the day before, which promised to be twice as busy on this particular day.  As an addict you'd think I'd like lines but, these aren't the same lines that an addict gets off of while sniffing something up the nose, making that rabbit face as another brain cell is depleted.

Keystone did offer the head pumping and jaw clenching adrenaline rush that I get from going as fast as my rented skis will carry me down the fairly steep wide open blue runs that let you out at River Run.  I didn't venture to any of the other peaks, which include a Tubing area and plenty of blacks on the back side and other two peaks.  As this was my third day skiing and I was feeling a bit sore already, I only made it to 12:45pm.  Gotta keep that body working, ya kno!

Pretty nice clear day at the snowy slopes.

I like Keystone, I really do, but I have a problem with Keystone.  They just don't get much snow!  It seems like every year by the time peak skiing/riding season comes, they've got 2/3 the snow Breck has.  This results in icey front side runs, (night skiing doesn't help) icey backside runs getting to the Outback and North Peak, and generally decent runs in the Outback and North Peak.  While it seems that Keystone has less crowded lift lines than Breckenridge, etc. there are some serious issues at North Peak with a long, flat area before you make it back to the lifts.  I'm also not much of a fan of the Apres Ski environment here compared to Breck.

Overall, this is a great place for families, intermediates, and tourists who want to get the most skiing for their money, (night skiing!) but unfortunately when I check the snow report in the morning before deciding where to go Keyston is usually my last choice.  :(

I have worked and skied at Keystone and I love it. Though it loses a star for having too little snow and too much steez (neither of which it can avoid) the three peaks offer something for everyone. I also appreciate that you can find anything you want on the mountain yet it remains less resorty than Beaver Creek or Vail, both of which I love for different reasons.

It's not as stacked with beginner runs as others in the area, but Keystone is a fine place to learn. When you get better, the real fun starts. The terrain park is one of the best in the world, the back mountains have challenging tree skiing. Hell, the front does too if you're willing to look for it. Off-the-map Tiger Line is a lot of fun when there is enough snow and if you're not a stickler for ropes, the old Ida Bell lift line cuts most of the way down the mountain. Toss any liftie $5 and they'll point you in the right direction for those stashes.

The bowls make a great pow-day hike and the kat rides to North and South Bowls make them accessible for everyone. There are plenty of fun groomers for your family and black bumps for variety. All that with high-speed lifts and night skiing. I dig.

Solid resort - tons of blues and blacks that will challenge anyone.  I've heard it isn't good for beginners but my buddy Josh and I had a blast.  It was a bit cold - a snow covered mountain, I know - so the lifts opened late one day.  They have food and drinks at both the top and bottom of the mountain but the bowls are a bit of a pain to get to.  I've never had to walk to get to a bowl (you can take the cat-track thing for $5) before but there is a first time for everything.
Outside of the skiing, there isn't much to the town.  A ton of condos and a few restaurants but aside from that it is sparse.  Really enjoyed a cafe/sports bar there by the main road.
    I would definitely come back.

Went to Keystone for a work outing, thinking, hey we have to go somewhere.  Most of our group (about 12 of us) went downhill while me & my boss went Nordic skiing. It was, well, lame. Maybe its because I was skiing with my boss.  Just him and me.  I mean, he's a nice guy and all, but seriously.  Awkward.

Maybe its because the Nordic center is far away (miles, not yards) from the alpine part of the resort, and you can't easily get from one to the other.  Which makes is hard to meet up with your downhill buddies for, say, lunch.  Or maybe it was because the trails pretty much suck.  It *could* have been the totally baked middle-aged waitress that charged me for some other people's wine ($12.00) when I ordered a hot chocolate that I poured myself ($2.50).  We were the only people in the joint - the wine people and me. How hard is this?  And then she was not able to refund my credit card (yes, I put a $2.50 drink on my card it was a business expense fercryinoutloud) because she could not figure out the machine so she gave me cash instead and then short changed me.  Whatever.  Don't go here for the Nordic skiing, you will be disappointed.

Back at the alpine part of the resort: lunch was great - service was good and the food was tasty.  There was even live entertainment - I guess if you dig a 20-something doing covers of Bad Co and Peter Frampton then it would be awesome.  He did his own echo effects during a Billy Joel cover.  Maybe it's a mountain thing?

This gets 2 stars from me because of the whole Nordic Center cluster.  If I went for the downhill and the lodge instead maybe I would rate it higher.  Maybe I'm just a victim of my own idiotic planning.  Who knows.  But don't go for the Nordic, please.  Eldora has way better groomed Nordic trails and is closer to everything.

I love Keystone and can't really put my finger on why.

I am an advanced snowboarder but this is def more of a moderate mountain.  The best parts are on the backside slopes and Kat rides.  Takes you to powder spots and I've figured out some lines that are always untracked because people tend to all go the same way.  I especially love how it funnels down into this boardercross type of small trail that weaves around trees and such.

There are some other great tree runs that I won't divulge 'cause no one really hits them up either and it's best if they stay that way.

The thing I dislike is the last slope that runs next to the gondola.  It's always chopped up or granular or something but that's cause it's the main freeway down to the base.  There's also a lot of speed police around which is kind of annoying because I like to bomb.   Still, the place is fun and I ride the hell out of it.

The lift tix can be pricey for some (get an epic pass) but that keeps the riff-raff out...

When I'm done, I like a beer or two at Kickapoo with a delicious, enormous plate of nachos.

This was my first time skiing ever so my review will be brief. I unfortunately don't have the perspective of someone who knows what they're talking about.

However, as a virgin, I can say the following:

    1. I know Keystone to be considered the family friendly mountain of the Vail Resorts chain of operations. There were quite a few kids, but honestly, they are so adorable to watch going down the slopes behind the instructor like a row of ducklings in mittens.

    2. The staff at the equipment check all seem young, probably low wage, workers who are in it for the lift pass. Nevertheless, they were helpful in answering ALL of my questions.

    3. I don't remember much about the slopes themselves. They could've been great. It's actually too traumatic to try to think about now.

    4. The other skiers were nice and didn't complain too much about having to maneuver around me.

    5. A burger and Gatorade cost $20.

I had a blast. I would go back there again...no wait. I WILL go back there again.

They said it was a really crowded day, but it was empty by CA standards. The bro/Bro ho ratio per capita was also much lower.  Up to 5 discount vouchers given to those who are season pass holders, so we saved a ton of $$ on passes.  Where else can you enjoy a view of the rockies, nature, and a fresh snowstorm in March? They also offer night skiing up to 9pm.  the snow -capped cabins, romantic architecture, and year-long Xmas lights enshrouded by the mountain range makes this place look like a Christmas card.

Keystone is a fun resort- it's easy to access and walk right up to the slopes. My family enjoys the back bowls and the terrain parks, while I enjoy the blues which are always well-groomed. This hill has other offerings besides skiing- like snow tubing and night skiing as well.

The only downsides are that there are not many beginner slopes- I skiied here as a beginner and was confined to the crowded and icy Schoolmarm all day. I also think that the hill is a little steeper than some of the neighboring resorts, which might be off-putting to beginners. Also, the town is strictly a complement to the resort. There are plenty of hotels, but not many shopping or dining options to explore once you leave the ski hill.

Keystone has the best night riding in Colorado. This is not the place to go is you are a beginner however --- it is much more skewed toward the advanced boarder/skiier.

The slopes tend to get VERY icy during night skiing though, which makes your falls all the more painful. They have a pretty good customer service staff if you lose your pass too. River Run is an attractive shopping/eating area but other than that there really isn't anything to do in Keystone. They have a very limited apres ski selection and overall this place needs a little sprucing up.

Just after 3 days of riding Breckenridge on mostly blues, I come here to think "Dude, Keystone should be cake"

    Wrong.

Their greens/"school zone"...not the typical flat greens, my Yelp friends.  The beginners are in for a real ride.  Some of their slopes I would consider them almost blues.

Which means...their blues are a little steeper than the norm.  Correction, A LOT steeper.  Sometimes, I thought I was riding blue/black.

Their blacks...for the short black I went on was doable, but if the run was any longer I might be sh*tting in my pants and crying for mercy.

I had a lot of fun at Keystone--their runs are long, diverse, wide and they have a lot of lifts and a gondola to take you up.  I'd say Keystone endures more of a nature feel than Breck.  From the top of the mountain, you can even see Breck.

Come to Keystone($93/lift ticket) for  the advanced ski/snowboarding runs and night-skiing options.  However, if you are planning a stay here, there isn't much of a town in Keystone as there is Breck.

Okay, you're in for a treat.

    Tip #1:
If you're having a Fri-Sun vacation in Summit County, then Keystone is a great place to start, on Friday itself, 'cos it's got night skiing.

    Tip #2:
Go for the free parking. Sure, you walk a bit, but if you're gonna spend the next few hours torturing yourself on the slopes, why not start at the parking lot? That and you'd be a sucker to pay for parking.

Tip #3 (this may not be legal, but WTF):
As you find your way toward the ticket counter, look out for kids leaving the resort. Don't be surprised if you score a day+night ticket for $5. You'll need sharp teeth, and a new plastic zip tie from the ticket counter.

    Tip #4:
Do not - I repeat - do not, under any circumstances, take the moguls on your first run. You might think that you're good. You might even think that you're gonna show those fellow out-of-towners how it's done... you'd be better off shooting yourself in the, um, groin 'cos that's how much pain you'd be in anyway after that first ambitious run.

    Tip #5:
If you start seeing your own blood pumping through the capillaries in your eyes, time out.

    Tip #6:
If your pulse is 150 a minute, time out.

    Tip #7:
If you can't seem to breathe, time out, you lowlanders.

    Tip #8:
    Drink plenty of water.

    Tip #9:
Pick a sick line and enjoy.

"Ok little Jimmy, now you be good on your lesson, I know this is your first time on ski's and you can barely move in your 40 layers, but you are going to do just fine.  Mommy will meet you at lunch time and you and I can take up three tables for all of our clothing, family and $45 lunches.  Mommy loves you."

I actually enjoy Keystone because it is usually where the sun hangs out.  If Breck is cloudy, then Keystone is usually sunny.... Just how it is.  Keystone is clean and extremely family friendly.   The runs are relatively easy in comparison with some of the other runs at nearby Breck, but you don't have nearly the crowd and the more difficult runs are usually pretty clear for speed skiing...Which may I add makes you feel like you own the mountain when you feel like you are going 60mpg, and you swear on it... Yeah right!

Come to Keystone with the fam, with the beginner, or when you are looking for a good resort with less crowds.

    * Star one for having the sun on your side... When it gets cold, it is miserable.   A cold day with sun is heaven.
** I live in a lodge star two is for nice lodges with giant fireplaces
*** White glove star three is for clean runs, lodges and snow.... (Not sure if the staff ca help that or not, but it is probably the demographics)
**** Bring the whole fam star four is for making this resort family friendly, so the other resorts are less crowded with them.... Sorry, I now I have one too...

This review actually covers Keystone Resort during the summer, when they open for Mountain Bikers. http://keystone.snow.c...

Keystone is open during the following times:
    Open 7 days a week
    June 15 - September 9, 2007

And here are the prices (much cheaper than the winter =))
    Pricing:
    Daily Ticket
    $18 - Adult One Run
    $30 - Adult Unlimited Runs
$60 - Two Day Adult Unlimited
$90 - Three Day Unlimited (Three Day Max)

I just went this last Sunday, and it was a blast.  How can you beat the combination of:
    *Fresh, clean air
*Wildlife everywhere, including deer on the runs
*Perfect weather (escape the heat, go to 11K feet)
*Almost empty (no lines, you could take your time on the runs)

Best of all was the thrill of flying out of the tress, across a patch of snow and through huge mud puddles; absolutely awesome!

It seems that several of the runs were closed, but this might be due to the fact that they just opened.

They also offer rentals for all the equipment you need, and they are surprisingly affordable.

If you can find the time, check this place out.  A great way to spend a summer day!

My favorite place to ride on the Colorado Pass (outside of Vail, that is.)

Preseason kind of stinks because only the front side is open, but have patience, and come back when there's more snow and you can ride the backside and traverse up to the hike-to bowls and also for some tree-riding.

The village is small, but its cute and there are some decent places to get grub (Kickapoo is my fav).  I love the night skiing and even though there are only a few runs open at night it's cool that you can still ride long after the sun has gone down.

My favorite of the Vail resorts, Keystone has 3 great mountains, one behind the next, with 19 lifts and 121 trails. Infrequent skiers usually stick to the front mountain, so ski to the back 2 and have a blast! The runs are long and wide, some of them have fun rolls and bumps to glide over or jump off. Keystone has very few catwalks and are easy for folks at or above an intermediate level of skiing/boarding.

They have great night skiing and what looks like a pretty good terrain park, but what I'm dying to try is the snow park. You can go tubing and snow biking and other crazy stuff.

It did get a "D" from the Ski Areas Citizens' Coalition Environmental Report Card though. Get with the times Keystone and clean up your act!

    NIGHT SKIING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big big big points with me. Wheeee!! I haven't gone night-skiing in forever.

Keystone was my favorite resort out of Winter Park, Keystone, and Breckenridge.  Why? Other than offering night skiing (until 9 pm!), the people seemed much friendlier, the skies were SUNNY with warm gorgeous skiing conditions, and they had a great variety of runs with the same endpoint and lifts.  Also, parking and getting to the lift was the EASIEST at Keystone.  You don't even have to travel up a mountain, you just park at Porcupine Lot at the base of the mountain, pay $15, and walk with your skis to the lift and immediately ski.

I loved the fact that several runs were available for night skiing (including greens and blues) and loved riding the ski lift to the top of the mountain at sunset. Absolutely gorgeous views.

Apparently skiing on Christmas eve at night is a fabulous time to go...i.e. EMPTY.  Loved everything about Keystone, including the clean facilities, diverse runs, some blues without moguls, and outdoor bar/deck to watch people coming down the slopes (Last Lift Bar). Great chili & drinks to keep you warm!

    Things I love about Keystone:

    1.  Night skiing-- great for lazy people like me who can never get up in time for fresh tracks.
    2.  Gondolas-- a little slower than the regular lifts, but so nice on those cold days.
    3.  Groomers during night skiing.  Everyone should try this at least once:  Find out when they are opening a freshly groomed blue during night skiing and wait at the tape for the moment they open it up.  Fly down the mountain on the fresh courderoy-- no stopping allowed on this one.
    4.  The PIZZA at the Summit House at the top of River Run gondola.  Once you taste it, you'll go back every time; guaranteed.
    5.  Parking-- the whole lot is close to the base lifts, and if you end up in overflow, the buses run often.  Also, it's free.

People hate Keystone because they never leave the front side of the mountain.  If you think there is only the front side... you have a lot to learn and explore.

My friends drug me out to the back bowl which may not have been the best of ideas given it was my first season in 7 years but whatev.  We hiked it because the CAT wasn't running anymore that day. It was amazing!

The new gondola runs fast but I'll tell you what:  you don't want to stand in line and you don't want the chance of the gondola shutting down on you because of high winds?  Take the regular lift across the stream / bridge.  It moves faster, has no mid-mountain stop off and you get some fresh air!

Parking is a breeze here given that it's free and about 100 yd walk to the lift.  You can pay (I think $20) to park at the lift by why would you do that!

Not a fan of this place...Too many Texans traversing the slopes.  The reason it gets two stars is this Texan father to Texan son dialoge:
TS:  Ouch Dad!  I fell, you need to wait for me!
TF:  You gonad!  Get off yer duff and get down here!
The only time I've ever heard "gonad" used as an insult.

Probably my least favorite mountain in summit county, but its got its amenities.

Its got a wide variety of intermediate runs and is open early in the year and after a good dump, you can find some steeps and the fresh tracks don't disappear as fast as they do at breckenridge or A-Basin.

I like to ski, not wait in lines.  Keystone did an impressive job handling the crowds on a mid-winter weekend.   Found some great terrain (try Wolverine for a fun run through a glade of pines) and a chance to hit a lot of it.

Non-skiing note:  the bloody marys were better at A-Basin.
