I drive by this place every time I come in or out of the city. It's right off Fort Street between Riverside and Locust Point. To be honest, it looks like kind of a hole-in-the wall, but I am always intrigued because of the lure of "Pit Beef Sandwiches" and a dilapidated sign offering gyros, falafel, and shish kebab. I mean, come on. Plus there's an ice cream joint next door.
Well, the place is surprisingly okay on the inside. I could eat in there. The deck outside looks like a good place to eat too. The food is reasonably priced -- $6.25 got me a gyro that was pretty darn good (understanding, of course, that a gyro is a sandwich made by shaving mystery meat off of a rotating meat-pole). Drinks and fries and such are available but I did carry out and ate the gyro it at home.
$5 gets you a falafel sandwich. I will try one of those next. I'm going back -- good sign, right? If you are looking for greek/mediterranean stuff you could do a lot worse than Key Pit Stop. They have other sandwiches but if you're gonna go there, grow a pair and get something different.
Update: I've eaten here several times since the first review. The Falafel is just okay -- it was a little dark for my taste. But the chicken gyro is good and the lamb shwarma, which I had yesterday, was quite good.
