Worst camping ever. The people at the office are nice as can be, but are not very good at their job, whatever it is. The lady asked me what spot I'd like so I told her 12, it's my favorite number. So... we went to park in 12 and there's a car there already. Um- k? Then I called and she was basically like "lol sorry can you stay in a different one?" It wasn't a hassle at all but literally it was the lady in front of me in line that was placed there. Really?

Also, the campsites are seriously 20 feet away from each other. No trees in between. No privacy whatsoever. Lots of kids, which is fine but they make a lot of noise and it kind of sucks trying to get your drank on with a bunch of kiddos 20-30 feet away from you. Boyfriend felt guilty smoking a cigarette as a result.

Dogs aren't allowed in the water there. Even though I called ahead of time and asked about dogs, that wasn't mentioned. I wouldn't have paid $20 to stay at a shitty campsite had I known my kids weren't allowed in the river. RIVER. Not a pool or a lake. The Guadalupe, where they're allowed everywhere else but at that particular park. Entirely underwhelming.

We didn't get to see all of the park, but we camped here the night after we stayed at the Kerrville Folk Festival at the nearby Quiet Valley Ranch. The price is reasonable, the shower/restroom facilities were clean and operational. The campsites where we stayed (away from the river) were pretty basic, not much shade, just some mown grass with taller grass between campsites. The neighbors were pretty loud and partied all night. But, it was a cheap place to set up camp for the night.
