Food: Great deal on the sunset menu!
Service: Quick and friendly
Price: Get the sunset menu, three course for $19.95.
The sunset menu, offered between 5-6, gives half portions on food but given the regular prices at this restaurant is quite the steal.
My green salad was fresh
My filet mignon was ok, but the mashed potato side was with red skin-on potatoes and some green onion, which was tasty
The winner is the Hula pie! (mac ice cream with cookie crust topped with chocolate on top)
This restaurant chain (part of Duke's) made Hula pie famous. It's touristy, but if you want to try anything, go there at least for the Hula Pie, it's worth your time!
This was the first fancy spot we had a dinner at while on the island - outdoor dining, staff all wearing plumeria printed outfits, tiki torches in all the corners, everything with the look of being made of bamboo - yup, I was sold just on the appearance alone. All I needed now was Greg Brady having issues with his tiki idol.
But that's not all - after eyeballing the menu for about a day and a half I decided to go with the seared Ono. Never had Ono before but our waitress who looks like she lives to surf gave me a good rundown on the white fish so I decided to give it a try.
SCORE! This fish was excellent! I already knew I liked seared fish but the Ono was the perfect choice.
Service wasn't exactly fast but at the same time, I'm on vacation and didn't mind the extra minutes to chat with friends about how the vacation was going, plus the well made cocktails helped pass the time.
Overall the place is nice, not as price as Roy's and definitely better food than Wahoo
This place is good, albeit a little cheesy and touristy. The bottom line is that they have good food and drinks and a nice ambience. The Mai Tais are delicious and served in little tubs with a happy Tiki face on the front, inviting you to drink the delicious liquid inside.
Ask about the fresh fish, order it (sans any heavy, rich sauces) and eat it, especially if it's opah. It will be the best thing on the menu.
This is definitely a place for tourists. The only locals you find here are the staff running around.
The parking is terrible here. For one thing , it shares the parking lot with the shopping center across the street from about about 3 resorts, and every now and then, you just might show up on Tahitian nights (which the shopping center will hold) and you also have big Roy's across the lot, another tourist attraction for food.
When walking in to put your name, you walk thru a sea of red (tourists who felt the sun in Hawaii won't be bad for their pale skin) and kids tossing pennies into the koi pond or even a kid trying to sneak around and jump in the pond to pet the little fishies. Luckily for me, I have connections and the most I've ever waited was 3 minutes :) (a lady never reveals her secrets haha)
Staff here is extremely friendly and are always ready to recommend their favorites and if its not too busy, will even strike up a conversation with you. They have a full bar, so be sure to drink up before opening up t he menu and seeing the prices, after all, there is a price to pay to eat in Paradise (its in the name!!)
The ambiance has that island feel to it, surrounded by tropical plants, open dinning room, birds outside, and the Hawaiian furniture. Be careful NOT to feed the Chickens. The island is infested with wild chickens and some come around the restaurant with their chicks hoping some kid throws their fries at them, which nearly happens all the time, and customers get upset that the chickens won't leave them alone.
The food is great, great crab cakes, steaks and even their deserts!! Presentation is nice and each plate they serve comes with an orchid.
Not a bad place, but if it wasn't for my little connection, not sure if I would come here as often as I have when visiting the island. But is definitely a place I'll recommend for a nice dinner. I'm more of a local girl. Show me the shrimp trucks and saimin stand!

It's cute.
Tourist trap but fun ambiance, very south pacific. Food is good enough to not put a damper on the evening. Much better than Roys Poipu right across from it.
Keoki's Paradise was recommended by my parents who had been there several times before and like the atmosphere. There is dining with tables next to the pond, however, we were not lucky enough to sit next to it. The prices are very reasonable. When we ate here in early Dec 2008, they were under slight renovations, but it was hardly noticeable. Because of the renovations, the indoor bathrooms were closed. Outside in front of the restaurant there were portable restrooms that were air conditioned and nice.
The food was OK, nothing special. My wife and I each had cheese burgers and they were good. The cheeseburgers were served open faced with all the condiments and veggies on the side. Both of the bottom sections of our cheeseburger buns were slightly soggy from the freshly washed veggies that were also on our plate. The french fries were good and seasoned with what must have been Lawry's Seasoning salt.
Overall we were happy with this Restaurant and would eat here again, but wouldn't travel across the entire island to get to it.

We asked our hotel concierge for the best fresh food in the area, and we were a little worried that we we were being routed to some place the concierge had a deal set up, and we were probably right.
The restaurant was "good" but not great, and it felt like a tourist funnel. I mean, it was nicely decorated, and the food was good, but it was a massive place, with long waits, and filled with families with lots of kids, or frat boy types with their girlfriend.
The fish was good, but not outstanding or even great, and the steak was okay, but not by any means a $32 steak. Maybe it was the maitai talking, but when i got my fish i had his vision in my head that someone in the kitchen had just unwrapped a 'scullys catch of the day' and that it wasn't as fresh as they claimed it to be. Someone used the word 'standard' and it fits.
I'd say if you're looking for a comfortable family place, you'll be happy here. If you're looking for the best seafood on the island...there are better choices.

Friendly staff. Awesome food. Fish n chips and fish taco are best we had on island. Outdoor seating. Hula pie is wonderful
Definitely a tourist trap but the ambience is fabulous. Reminds me of the 'Tongo Room' in San Francisco but more open and tropical. The fish (mahi mahi) and chips is delicious and mai tais presented in a beuatiful tiki cocktail glass. Love the experience especially when waiting out the occassional sudden down pour.
We were wanting to eat sooner, rather than later, so we sat in the cafe section near the bar (limited menue). Boy were we wrong. We were ignored for the longest time, others were seated and served long before we were noticed. When the food arrived it was decent, but not worth it by then. Also have to complain about the lack of to-go glasses. When you are paying an arm and a leg for milk (hello, it's $8/gallon here) and you have a full glass left over, you want to take it with you. Our server was good about it, and said that if the glass was not there when we left, she wouldn't notice.
Go for the Bar, not for the restaurant when you are hungry.
Keoki's was one of our favorite places to dine about while in beautiful, beautiful I effin' love you Kauai. Although this tropical oasis has the standard steaks, ribs, etc, the fish was the main attraction: they have 5 types of fish that are brought in fresh daily (when we were there they had ono, opah, mahimahi, ahi & onaga) that can be prepared in a variety of ways (asian, garlic & butter, orange & herbs). So amazingly fresh and delicious!
The ambiance is fun and tropical. Think "Cascading waterfalls, meandering streams, lush foliage and thatched roofs." It's as though you've been transported to a Tribal Council in Survivor's Paradise Edition where the challenges are all about who orders the best dish and can eat it all (the portions are huge!). Don't forget to try their Mai Tai's, which are killer.
Hubby and I chose to eat in the bar so we didn't have to wait forever for a table. The restaurant was very attractive. We both had an enjoyable dinner here. The food was great.
