I agree that the staff here is nice. However, my last trip to these cleaners will prevent me from taking anything here again. I recently got my blazer and stained shirt cleaned. The blazer came out looking great. The stained shirt was just as stained when I brought it in. I asked her about it and she said it wouldn't come out. They charged me anyway and I didn't fight it to much. I brought the shirt home, put some stain stick on it, washed it like normal, and the stain is completely removed. No bleach necessary. They obviously didn't try very hard to get the stain out. Don't bother with anything stained. Cleaning it yourself will get better results :)
Kent Cleaners is great. They are open late enough during the week that I can pick stuff up after work and also open on Saturdays. The women who work there are so nice and cheeful! It does cost a little more to get your dry cleaning done here, but for the quality of service and work, it's worth it. I came in around closing time one night to pick up a jacket I had dry cleaned. The woman who worked there insisted on carrying it out and hanging the jacket in my car! Yeah, that was very sweet of her!
eco-friendly is a must nowadays. so i easy gravitated to my local dry cleaner. staff is exceedingly nice. they take the utmost care of your clothes. i've never, ever had the slightest issue.

I think it's a testament that this place has received no less than 4 stars (at the time of this review) in any of their reviews. This place does quality work with a smile. I've had several slacks let in and out through the years and they do such quality work from the matching of the stitching to the color of the thread, although you may pay a little more for it. I don't do dry cleaning that often but when I do go in they still remember me, and their wall is filled with pictures of customers form the neighborhood which shows how much of an allegiance the neighbors have for them.

Great cleaners. The women working here are always so sweet and helpful. A little pricey but worth it most of the time. I have had several items altered here and have been very happy with the results. Fairly quick turnaround as well.
This place is awesome! They treat my laundry like it was their own and they are truly masters of the stain removal. I should know because it's my unconscious goal in life to stain every piece of my clothing with something horrible. Whatever I've gotten on it, they've gotten it out. Plus, they fold my clothes and wrap them up all neat like nobody's ever done. I don't know what your days are like, but I appreciate this little bit of self-indulgent pampering. After all, that's what my money is for - to make my life enjoyable!
Do yourself a favor - check these guys out and you'll be one of the converted before you know it!
Kent Cleaners is one of the reasons why I love my neighborhood. I mean, the people that run this place are NICE. Friendly, helpful, efficient. I've had dozens of pairs of pants hemmed, taken in, let out, taken back in . . . They've altered suits, coats, all kinds of stuff for me. And they even got 99% of a coffee stain out of the lapel of my white jacket. I can still kind of see it if I squint, but nobody else can. :) They are a bit expensive, but they're on my block so I'm totally willing to spend for the convenience and quality.
I really enjoy bringing my jackets here because I know I'm going to get quality work here. The price is alittle high, but it's worth it because I've tried many that are cheaper and yet have found any that can do great work equal or better than Kent Cleaners. The 15min parking zone availible for their store is awesome too because parking can be a pain in the Richmond..."actually all of SF". Alittle extra for me sense it's close to a Lucky Ocean Aquarium as well hahaha 2 trips in one with parking.

I hate dry cleaning. It is one of those things that I put off as long as possible. Next thing I know, it is 2 days before some event when I realize that my ______ has some schmutz on it from some unfortunate accident with ______. So usually, when it comes to dry cleaning, it is all about convienience. I have no idea whether I am getting ripped off by the cleaners, but I am way too lazy and car-less to do research about this.
Kent fits the bill with regards to service (with a smile!), results (the latest batch involved an overzealous episode with a chocolate fondue fountain; it was bad), and convenience (open til 7:30p M-F, til 5:30p Sat; some have already mentioned the parking spot in front reserved for quick pick-ups). Pricewise, I have no clue....the last bill for a long wool winter coat, a suit jacket and pants, and another pair of dress pants came to about $40.
Minus .5 stars each for:
1) Not calling me after I left my last order there for 3 weeks. So most cleaners never do this, but in my perfect world, cleaners would do this for forgetful clients like me.
2) Those Jesus pamphlets that they have sitting out in front of the register. Not to be a hater of Jesus or people who love Jesus, but I like to avoid all forms of evangelicalism because I don't need any further reminders that I am going to Hell.

WARNING: This review is not for the easily disgusted.
Yesterday was Prez Day and I had just bought my first pair of Paige Premium Denim jeans and realized that every alterations place was closed for this govt holiday. F***! As I was driving home from J-town, it happened...in the words of the great Margaret Cho,
"I HAVE TO SHIT RIGHT NOW!" I thought.
I was was felt like millions and billions of blocks away from home and Geary was really trafficky that day...so I decided to take the backroads to my apt. And there before me...Kent Cleaners with it's doors wide open and a temporary parking spot vacant right in front for me to park it and run inside with my designer jeans.
As I ran in, there was a sweet Asian lady who I felt comfortable with to alter my expensive pants and then I asked,
"May I PUH-LEAZE use your restroom?!?"
The lady saw the panic in my eyes and understood my pain. After using the restroom, (and I really don't think I should go into any detail), I came back to the front feeling refreshed and ready to get these jeans shortened to fit my bod and go home knowing I would be back on Thursday to pick them up. I can't wait to look fabulous!

These people fold my socks for me.
Therefore I love them very much.
I've been hauling my filthy laundry to Kent Cleaners for ages. They all chime out my name in chorus when I come though the door.
That makes me feel special.
My dirty unmentionables come back clean and fresh, and individually folded and wrapped. My shirts somehow have the foul drooled foodstains removed from their fronts.
These are really, really wonderful people.
Given the option of spending a long afternoon sharing space in the laundromat with a host of disgruntled others and a slightly disturbing homeless man who continually picks his nose and stares at you, or taking my bag o' rags to Kent Cleaners and being cheered as I walk in the door, you can bet that I'm always going to go with that second alternative.

Love this place. I've been going here for like 6 years. They pay great attention to detail. They don't stick safety pins through my clothes, and use pants/skirts hangers that do not leave marks. They wrap my sweaters in paper and then bag it in plastic, and put ties in individual little baggies as well. I have to take off one star because they are very expensive. I'd say they're worth it, since I keep going back, but I wish they cost less. I tried to switch. Once. And it was awful. They wrote my husband's names on his shirt collars! He was horrified.
Woo-hoo for Kent--these people know my name, ask if something happened to my bf since doesn't have as many dirty shirts lately, and most important, they do a great job with the drycleaning.
Not cheap, but not overpriced--the 10min. zone in front makes it all worthwhile.

So cute it gives me heartburn. Nonetheless, a great option for wash and fold if you don't have laundry in your building. Friendly, clean place where they do the washing in-house. Seriously, this place is so cute.

The best dry cleaner in the Richmond--hands down. Alterations aren't their strong suit, but it'll do.
The best dry cleaners I've been to! Their service is excellent! When it was raining, they even walked me to my car with an umbrella! The woman there is always so nice and I'm always happy with the clothes I get back. After we moved, I tried a cleaners closer to my place to save me the drive, but I ended up having to bring it Kent's after anyways! It may not be the cheapest around, but you can tell you're paying for a quality cleaners!

Kent Cleaners = totally awesome. The dry cleaning is the best in the city and I recommend it to everyone I know!
Great local cleaner to drop and run to. Service is always friendly and yes, it's cute. One of these days I'll get on the polaroid hall of fame, I swear it.
If you drive up, there's a quick 10 minute spot in front of the cleaners that will allow you to go in and out no worries.

Convenient hours and they're all high-tech-y: the receipt has a barcode and they scan it to retrieve your stuff.
They have 8x10 portraits of all the American presidents on the walls, and it wraps all the way around the room. I can't explain it, but I love it.
