The Parker center is in the same complex as the library, city hall, and the community center. It is a very nice venue, and a lot of local music acts perform here, especially during local festivals. However, it seems that there's less and less people coming here as time rolls by, and it is kind of a shame because this amphitheater is very nice, and convenient.

    The Good:

Easy to get to: Because it is in the center of the city, this place is basically 10 minutes from anywhere in the city. And since it's in the big city center complex, you really can't miss it.

Nice seat!: Although it is all outdoors, the Parker center has benches as opposed to those more traditional (and uncomfortable!) cement blocks.

    The Bad:

Is anyone performing?: A few years ago, there were plenty of acts here and you could count on something going on nearly every weekend. Nowadays you can rarely catch something once a month. What happened?

The Kenneth W. Parker Performing Arts Center is a really great local facility, and it is such a shame that there's not more going on here.

Overall 7.1/10 = Great (when theres something going on)
