This is perhaps the most perfect park in the Bay Area. It has everything I like in a park. The staff is extremely friendly and do an excellent job at keeping everything looking great. The hikes range from easy to strenuous, and every one affords a beautiful and rewarding vista. My dog, who is allowed off-leash outside of the paved trails, begs me to go there every weekend.
We often grab a bite to go and then hit the park. There are many picnic tables to choose from.
The park is free all winter from until April 1. Then it is $5 to park, well worth it. You can also buy an annual pass so that you may enjoy all of the East Bay Regional Park District properties.

What can I say? I gotta give props to the East Bay Regional Parks. We enjoyed a company picnic here. It was loads of fun. We played volleyball and kickball. The kids had a blast too. LOL There's a little play structure for the little ones. The trails are nice and shaded for the most part. But remember to bring water. It does get hot here! I've also been here several times with my puppy. He enjoys playing with the automatic sprinklers. He also tries his best to chase those cute little birdies on the well-manicured lawn. Good thing he is on leash. A fun time is had by all. It's a happening place for barbecues and get togethers. Check it out sometime!

nice place, plenty of space, really pretty, lots of grass, well maintained.. overall quite a nice little space for a picnic/bbq day! :) oh and i hear they have a wedding site could be worth a looksie if you are trying to find a place- but i didnt see it so i dont know if its nice or not.
