This is a fun way to get to the San Juans or Victoria, BC and not fuss with ferries.  Plus it's FAST.  Hear me - FAST.  You don't spend all day getting there.

My kids loved it.  The pilots are nice.  It's simple & easy.  I recommend.

Ever seen a SeaPlane take off or land?
It's always been a dream of mine to ride in or fly one.  After researching their website, I realized they offer an introductory flight where you get to man the controls with an instructor... FOR $99
It was about 15 mins of education about the plane, and a half hour SENIC flight!  It was AMAZING!

Since San Juan Airline and Kenmore Air merged operations, Kenmore Air is the way to get to the San Juan Islands by plane. Or to numerous destinations in B.C. Canada. You can leave from Boeing field or Lake Union or Kenmore by wheeled or float plane and be in the islands in less than an hour. Customer service and reservations people are friendly and helpful. I used to talk to them once a week booking our company flights and never had a problem. Be warned - if it's foggy, the planes will not leave on time but they'll make sure you get where you're going as soon as it lifts. The flights are also NOT cheapies - it's $95 one way to the islands, and the planes are commuter planes, meaning not big and not immune to turbulence. Rumor has it they might be adding a flight to Bellingham, at least to and from the islands. It's an expensive but convenient alternative to a long drive.
