I don't know who Ken Stewart is, but to me, he's already like a huggable bear, introducing some warmth and sophistication to office park land, Richfield, OH.

He has a very quaint lodge, and knows how to charm l'il 'ol me with a bowl of peanut m&ms (public bowl or not, i was tempted!) at the entrance, a small tasting room with a decent wine collection, and... *gasp*, a real fire!

With a great menu (including those darn sauerkraut balls again) of local comforts like chicken pot pie, tuna melts, pumpkin spice soup, truffle fries, and haute-er things like steak, salmon, and ahi tuna - it was pretty hard to decide which of Ken's fluffy bears to choose.

I ended up ordering one of the day's specials - an Alaskan King Crab Cobb Salad, which just as you imagine, was enough to serve three! Oh, and did I mention that Ohio menu prices ROCK? Service was sweet and patient and personal (I think each table had one server each!)

... and just like that mystery man you wish you had met earlier, of course, i only discovered Ken on my last day in Ohio.

The Lodge is a little more cozy/intimate/romantic than the Grill on market street.  Definately stay away from the "daily specials" because those cost an arm and a leg.  If you can stick to the menu and order something then your wallet might be a little bit more happy.  The wedge salad with white french is awesome.  Their filets I feel are not the best.  I prefer their NY strip.  Truffle fries are pretty awesome as well.

Seriously overpriced, specials menu is/was ridiculous (too long).. it was its' own menu. I went there hoping for a "nice" casual/upscale place, that was laid back, good value for the $, and comfortable. For me it was none of the above. Well, the fireplace was nice.

The waiter & waitress team bugged us too much--unless we needed them for something. It was strange, like they had ESP.

The food was decent though. And the atmosphere was nice. Could have been better but it was still nice. I didn't care for our servers. They were like Mouseketeers trying to push drinks.. felt like I was being hustled.

Meal was an unbelievable event. Extensive wine list, huge portions and excellent taste. Lobster tail was huge and steak melted in my mouth. Great atmosphere in rustic log cabin.

I went here with my wife a few months ago and I wasn't overly impressed. The food was good but not amazing and the bill was pretty high for what we ordered. I guess I'm used to less fancy and more relaxed. I didn't like the million specials they listed and thought it was a bit much. It's a nice option I guess if your willing to spend some serious dough but not the every day kinda place.
