Review from Tricia S.
So, is this place related to the other Keller's that everyone keeps talking about? Because if so I'm not sure I'm so excited about it anymore.
Anyway, this place serves up a pretty dece burger for a pretty dece price in a very, ahem, no frills setting. Certainly not a place you'd take anyone to impress them. They do serve beer. There were some pretty sketch characters in there which added to the, ahem, charm. So did the rather surly girl taking our order.
I got a cheeseburger and my guy got a hickory burger and onion rings. Total was 9 bucks. The burgers were greasy and pretty similar in my opnion to what burgers taste like off the grill. Nothing special, but certainly a-ok. The onion rings were also a-ok. His burger was pretty much just meat and bbq sauce. We were disappointed with that.
Two things I found odd about the place were 1) they played some crunk ass clubbin music...a little awkard, i felt like i should be grinding on someone or something 2) they had an article at the front counter about how to find a good burger joint in Texas, along with a list of 10 awesome places to get burgers in central Texas. This place did not make the list. Not sure why it was displayed.
All in all, you can come here and feel like you're getting slightly better food for about the same price as a fast food spot, I would stick to the drive thru. -

Curiousity is what got me into this place. It sure wasn't the number of cars in the parking lot. I can't recall ever seeing more than 2 at any given time.
Normally, that is a sign but I was feeling adventurous.
The place is a blast to the past...I would pin the tail on the donkey from 1972.
Everything on the menu is separate....damn, no combos. I ordered a burger, fries, and drink.
Yes, the burger is greazzzzy. But, it was good. Better than you would get at the nearby fast food places. Fries were freshly cooked so no complaints.
I can't say GO HERE but hey if you are in the mood for a burger, why not support KCJ? It ain't bad at all.Listed in: Yelping in: Dallas
