Do you like boardwalks? Can you make the best of any situation? Are you here to have a great time and not meet your significant other? Do you like playing games and winning almost impossible to claim prizes? Do you enjoy parking a few feet away from the boardwalk and paying 6 bucks? Do you like the idea of eating anything deep fried, from candy bars to pickles? Do you like go carts? Do you need a fun place to go for a day date? Do you like large fans that have that water mist as you walk by? Do you like crossing the street to go get drunk at a tiki bar (the stadium)? Do you like one dollar ice cream cones? Do you like walking next to white trash, not the kind that will hurt u but the kind u see funny top 10 lists about? Do you like going in arcades especially if it starts raining? Do you like having beach stores right beside you where you will find items like toys from the 80s to the newest knockoff sunglasses for cheap? Do you like super long fishing piers in which some random person charges you a buck to get on?

Than you will love this place just as much as I do...

I have to laugh because the Keansburg Boardwalk was 3 summers of my working life in high school. I went from selling tickets to ride operator to managing a food stand to working the slides at the water park..while all being under 17...I wont go into anymore details!!

But I can say if you have little ones, this is your most inexpensive bet on the Northern Jersey coastline. Almost everything here is family owned for generations. Buy a book of tickets and use them throughout the summer. Play some skee ball, drive bumper cars and get rocked on the tilt a warl!

The water park is the major attraction added by the boardwalk owners. Look right from the 4 story slide drop and bamb! there's the NY skyline. Pretty cool.

Just like most towns on the upper N Jersey coastline you'll find things brand spanking new or a tad run down,,, whatever the case, spend some dough here and help bring back what the Burg was in the 40's!

When my daughter was really young and I got home from work early enough we used to go to the Keansburg Amusement Park.  There are lots of kiddie rides and it is close to most of the towns in Northern Monmouth County and Southern Middlesex County.

This piece of property has been on the chopping block several times but has always been able to survive.  The amusement park has expanded over the last several years.

The Waterpark is not nearly as big as the one at Six Flags but this one is only a 5 minute drive from my house.   Access to the Waterpark is sold in time blocks.  Make sure you call the park before you go.  I have parked the car and got to the gates just as they were closing early.

There are several bars in the area and I have heard that things can be a little rough in the evenings.  I have never had a problem.

If you live in the area, have small children and make it home early this is a good place to come and spend some quality time.  I just found some of the pictures I took when my daughter was young.  I have great memories.

Normally I would have given this one more star but since this place is a 10 minute walk from my house, I guess I'm a little bit more jaded.  Nonetheless it's a classic old-school amusement park.  The waterpark addition is a nice one, thought at times it makes the amusement park look terribly outdated.   A cheap place for some fun, especially the go-karts.  The arcades are lacking some of the later games but has plenty of old-school favorites like X-Men and TMNT.

We live down here, Keansburg just down the road. Keansburg Boardwalk & Waterpark is a neat little amusement park altho we dont frequent it.

For specifics on Keansburg waterpark/boardwalk please read other reviews here...

What I want to say here is that Keansburg, as a town can be a pretty shady town, especially near the waterpark. Keansburg has a very large low-income/high-poverty population (nothing wrong with that) yet has attracted a "significant" crack/cocaine-drug-using population thru-out the town, again especially near the waterpark/boardwalk areas.

Keansburg is NOT a town to worry about violent crime/getting mugged (so far) and the waterpark is absolutely fun, clean and safe BUT you definitely want to keep an eye on your teenagers around here, especially at night.

For a "young kiddie-day-oriented" summer fun place its certainly fine but if you are seeking a true family oriented summer destination especially for older kids you might want to go elsewhere.

When compared to lets say Jenkinson's water/amusement park, Jenkinsons is much larger, ofers ALOT more for all ages (especially adults), Pt Pleasant (town) offers MUCH more to do and whatever drug-using population is there is not nearly as evident. Keansburg on the other hand offers literally nothing once you step away from the rather small waterpark (except the beach)...no shops, no restaurants (except perhaps pizza and a few arcades).

Keansburg could be a truly great little town if the power-brokers there woke up and started attracting other investors besides low-income landlords that permeate this ocean-front little town.

The Waterpark is a lot of fun. I took my 3 year old twins and they had a good time. Their are rides suitable for kids and ones that will be fun for adults.

One possible drawback is that you can only visit for 2 or 3 hour shifts. For us 2 hours are plenty for 3 year olds but I van see where some might prefer to stay longer.

The boardwalk rides are pretty lame. But they'll probably be enough to keep anyone entertained for an hour or two.

If you are into old school boardwalks with tons of vintage rides, this is the place for you! It was so interesting just walking around. The sights and sounds took me back to childhood. This is a must for Jersey tourists such as myself!

I have such good memories here especially the fishing pier which was built by my grandfather and my aunt continues to run the bait and tackle shop at the entrance. As for the amusement park, I have no idea I was always too busy fishing hehe
