Meet the Business Owner: Kate B.

Kate Black's work aims to capture the spirit of people and place and blends photojournalistic sensibilities with the fine arts. She specializes in wedding photography, children's portraiture and the documentation and revelation of everyday life. Her pictures have appeared in publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Business Week, Gourmet.com, local newspapers, non-profit brochures, and as artwork for cds. Kate has served on the selection committee of several social documentary photography exhibits and awards, including the Open Society Institute's Moving Walls exhibit and the Soros Justice Media Fellowship. She lives in New York City.
