Wow, it's hilarious that Kartway is even on this site because it's so not a part of the 21st century in any other way - the signs advertising food on their windows are AT LEAST twenty years old, and are faded enough to show it.  

Kartway is a soft-serve ice cream and greasy food stand that operates from May to September.  As it's one of the few attractions in tiny Gales Ferry, it's a favorite for Little Leaguers and their parents after games, and as a site for high schoolers to hold car washes.  The owners (a husband and wife who seem to also be the sole employees) make no attempt at originality in the menu, and not much attempt at upkeep.  The paint is peeling on the stand itself, and it's plopped in the middle of a gray asphalt parking lot.  Next to it stands the rusty batting cages (which are in working order), and out back is the go-karts (which are usable if you're not too concerned about safety).  

Come here for a quick, cheap cone or burger with no niceties; don't expect to find anything more.
