Remember coming here a few times in high school... many, many years ago.
Website update: June 20, 2008 will be the final day of operation.
I'm gonna miss this place. I remember when they had the pizza and arcade next door. I also remember riding the karts around the track.
Karts N Golf is no more.
We drove all the way from the city to find giant dirt piles and tractors. The boy was crushed that his childhood playground has been obliterated.
Um yeah....I wouldn't go here unless I wanted to die.
It's run down, shoddy, dirty. Annoying kids running around getting in your shizz. I don't feel safe in their go karts, there are much better places in Fremont for that.
Wow, such a return from a long hiatus of writing....anyhoodles...
I don't know about you, but this place P0WNZ Golfland!
Was here recently with a group, and we had the most fun! The holes for mini golf are a bit small and really cramped together, but all in all, it was a fun time. The bumper cars/Karts were closed :( but the batting cages were open. Batting cages were a bit run down, but I still had fun... word of advice though, those helmets they let you use are kinda gross.... :( I had my heart set on karting, but I guess I'll wait for Lemanns to do that! :)
I like that this place is in this location because its kind of unexpected! Theres a Karaoke Lounge right next to it so you can minigolf/kart/batting cages and then...sing your heart out to the lastest New Edition song! :)
Its kind of off the beaten path, meaning if you weren't looking for it specifically or dont frequent the stores around it, you'd never know it was there... This would be a great date place...Bring fun company/a nice date, or it many not be as enjoyable as it was for me. Luckily, I had both! ^^
Four Stars! :)
Even at my advanced age, I still haven't had the opportunity to take a girl on the obligatory "miniature golf date." Hopefully, one of these days, the dating Gods will shine down upon me, and finally give me the chance. And by golly, Karts 'n Golf will definitely be the spot where I take this (un)fortunate young lass.
Although I am hardly lucky enough to go on many dates of my own, I am a veteran of many episodes of Blind Date and Elimidate, and let me tell you... the miniature golf park never fails! How could she not love this? Besides the golf, there are also batting cages and go karts. I mean, if this isn't enough to bring a smile to her face, I'm sorry, but she just isn't my kind of girl.
I know in the modern times of Speedring and Le Mans, these little piddly go karts are child's play in comparison, but they are still oh so fun, nonetheless. It's not necessarily about the maximum adrenaline rush and showing what a grunt you are when you are out with a girl for the first time anyways. It's all about taking it slow and easy. Maybe if I happen to score on this date (which of course, I will), then I can take her to Le Mans sometime later on.
After a nice evening at Karts 'n Golf, I'd probably accompany her to Echo KTV next door to sing our hearts out. Perhaps I can serenade her with some of my favorite old school slow jams in English or Chinese to show her my appreciation for spending the evening with me.
*Poof* Hah... like any of this will ever happen. Until then, all I've got to spend my evenings with is Roger Lodge. *sigh*
Everything here is super run down and kinda ghetto. It is too bad this is the closest place to go to the batting cages... the bats suck and the cages are always broken.
Maybe this place was once nice- but since then, a tornado hit it a few times.
Sadly, after a long run, this place closed in the summer and I just drove by and it's all bulldozed. In the 90's if you were in high school this was quite the hangout, and decent place to take a date. The mini-golf was decent, ditto for the batting cages, did the karts once...it's fun.
Next door used to be a huge arcade which also was fun if you were in HS in the 90's.
That arcade closed down a while ago and turned into several small businesses and somehow Karts N Golf lost its appeal among the tween and teen crowd. From reviews here, sounds like management sucked later on and then sold the land, probably to build up more retail space or something.
As you grow older and still remain in the area, you see these places close and it does bring a tear to your eye because you won't be able to drive there anymore and have any kind of real nostalgic experience. Sigh...
Karts n Golf is sort of a dive. But before that turns you off from going there, I want to say it is a cool and kick back place for a dive (if that makes sense?!). They got some arcarde games, a snack bar, mini golf, batting cages and kart racing. Karts N Golf is hidden in the back of a small street off Ardenwood Blvd across from the farm. The place is actually bigger than you would expect and most people compare it to Malibu or Boomers. This is a cool spot if you want to kill some time and stay close.
Fun for the entire family! Get your mom on the bumper tubes and hilarity ensues. The miniature golf courses are pretty challenging and fun to cheat at when you are playing with little kids. And the Go Karts, I kill. And Sumant, do you want to go to the batting cages here? (Let me know.) Lots of fun in the sun. Arcades and Jack in the Box across the parking lot! -Matt
This place is not so bad, but the plus thing about it is that this place has batting cages and the two downers is it could use a little fixing up and I have also recently heard they are going to be shutting down. I would still recommend this place for batting cages or carts and golf if you don't want to go far and stay close by.
Great place to go if you are bored to death. It is a rundown miniature golf course and batting cages. The batting cages is one of the last cheapest place in the Bay Area. The manager told me the land property is being bought out and will close business by end of 2007. The go-kart looked rundown and the course is closed indefinitely. They are selling off the go-karts from $300-$500.
