In the 1 year I have had my precious Audi, I have been to Karry's shop for 3 different things. Each time Karry has been absolutely fabulous!!
~He's returned my phone call at 8pm on a Friday night in midst of a total panic attack over my car window not rolling up. I live in North Beach and park on the street. It was serious panic time. I had the first appointment of the day on Saturday.
~He's let me reschedule an appointment to replace another window at least 4 different times w/out the slightest bit of attitude that you would find at other shops.
~And finally today, he did NOT laugh at me too badly for fixing headlights that apparently were not broken to begin with. (Apparently I'm still figuring out how to turn on my headlights????) Although a slight alteration needed to be made after my bf tried to fix what was not broken. Karry also did NOT charge me for fixing the bf's mistake. And off I was in less than 15 minutes w/ a lesson on how to turn my lights on.
Overall, I give Karry 5 stars without hesitation! He does a great job, VERY reasonably priced and he genuinely cares about customer service. I will keep on returning to Karry for anything else that may need to be taken care of on my car. I highly suggest you check him out!
I found Karry on here after a pole hit the rear bumper of my beautiful 2006 BMW 325ci. After my first experience of yelping a less than perfect hair cut, I wanted a few quotes just to make sure I was getting the best deal and to not make the same mistake twice. Though I did find one garage that was willing to do the job for much cheaper than Karry's already reasonable price, I felt much more comfortable with my baby in Karry's hands. Karry reassured me that he used top of the line products and paint which the other garage may or may not be using. He even dropped down his original quote price which was already discounted since I wasn't going through my insurance. YOU ROCK MANN!!!
To make a long story short, Karry was a pleasure to work with. The plastic bumper was heated up and reshaped, then filled in and repainted. It looks brand spankin' new! I have already recommended him to a few close friends and will without hesitation use his services in the future as needed.
I brought my car in to get some body work done- some dents and scratches that've been bugging me, and Kerry did an awesome thing: he told me to not get them fixed.
"This is a city car, right? Little scratches and dents are normal. If you're gonna get a few dents taken out, you might as well get everything fixed."
Which is amazing. Having my little vanities put into such sharp contrast with the realities of finance and city living saved me a little chunk of change.
Also, when I mentioned that I've been driving around SF with the little rubber strips that came off the side of my car, he reattached them for free.

I pulled this place down from yelp.com after feeling that the dealer quote for some minor damage repair on my Lexus was a little high. Karry quoted me $300 less! The whole process could not have been any easier, the repair looks great and he even touched up some paint chips and polished the car.
Would like to give 4.5, but I can't. Karry did a good job with the repair work but there was a glitch post-repair that dings him a half-star. Read on.
My car was backed directly into by a large SUV. Smashed the bumper, grill, hood, radiator support..pretty bad..ultimately cost over $7000. I went to Karry after reading the reviews here. I was a bit nervous though, as the damage was much worse that the typical smashed window or chipped bumper sort of work that most Yelpers needed...I wasn't sure how well Karry could handle the substantial damage. Turns out he did an excellent job across the board. He always picked up the phone instantly, worked with the appraiser to deal with additional costs that surfaced, fixed all the damage perfectly, and the car now looks like new. Great work.
The ding is that somehow my battery got drained while in Karry's shop and didn't work afterwards. The day after picking up my car, it died at an inopportune time on the weekend. Karry did reply promptly to my urgent voicemail and offered to send me a tow truck..but I ended up using my jumper cables to fire my car back up. A few days later, Karry came by my place to replace (at no cost) my battery. So kudos to him for the great customer service. But alas, to get 5-stars things need to be perfect. So he gets dinged half a star.
But overall, make no mistake about it, this guy is good. Very good. And he'll fix up very bad damage and make it look like new.
Someone rear-ended my Altima a while back. Found Karry's great reviews here on Yelp so decided to check him out. I was very impressed. He did a great job on the replaced bumper and trunk lid and painted it to match the rest of the car (not an easy job considering the car is 13 years old).
He also took time to touchup the nicks and dings around the car (which he did NOT have to do as it had nothing to do with the job). He also had the guys detailed the interior to make the dash, trim and leather seats look like new.
I guess the best way to describe it is he went 'above and beyond' what anyone would expect. He truly cares about the customer's experience. I will definitely recommend him to friends and
family.
After being hit by a drunk driver, our bumper was newly replaced and painted and now looks like it did out of the Lexus showroom. I have to say Karry's shop is by far the best. I've dealt with a few big body shops around the city and have been extremely disappointed by the poor quality of work. I have to give him 5 stars for every aspect of the process!!
So the bumper was looking pretty beat up. Actually, it was completely unhinged on one side. This was becoming a problem as I was trying to sell the corolla to end my extended game of musical parking spots in the mission. I went to Karry's hopeful but not optimistic that I would be able to fix this bumper situation.
While I couldn't afford a full repair (not that Karry's wasn't offering a reasonable price- I am just beyond broke), Karry's *did* reattach the bumper at no charge! Seriously, the mechanic wouldn't even accept what meager tip I could afford.
Karry's is so awesome it made me, a confirmed lurker, join yelp. Go here, they are good people.
Like everyone else, Karry does a great job and his friendly! I've gone to him three times and will go back again!!
A few times I had no way of getting to him (not sure if it's because my friend is his friend), but he dropped me back off work so I could rent a car later!!

I got in two accidents this winter, and my poor car got hit twice on the same side. My insurance told me I had to pay two deductibles. But Karry worked it so that all the damage got taken care of with the first claim. He went the extra mile for me, and I give him the highest recommendation. From hustling to get my car fixed (all parts ordered, etc.) in just one week and even letting me take it back before he received the full payment from my insurance company, he is a rock star at taking care of his customers. And the repair work is flawless on top of that.
I hope I never have to use his services again. But I'm so glad that when I had to, he was around and always picked up the phone himself. Thank you, Karry!
After reading the reviews, I took my car to Karry. I scratched the paint on the back fender down to the metal while backing out of my incredibly small garage. He gave me a great price and on top of that, commited to have my car out in 2 days. Took it in Tues night, had it back Thursday night. Execellent work, and a free guarantee...any minor paint scratches will be fixed free, just for doing business with Karry.. Awesome!
my poor car was the victim of a hit and run...and I have no clue about anything to do with cars. I found Karry's on Yelp, and he was fantastic. It was pouring rain the day I was supposed to pick up my car and he drove all the way to my home to pick me up so that I didn't have to take a cab/public transportation. They were super-easy to work with and knew how to deal with Triple A. I never knew repairing my car would be so easy!
If you are looking for professional and caring service then look no further. Karry's provided outstanding service from the moment we (my wife and I) dropped off our car by taking us to the car rental place after finding out it would be a 30-minute wait to get picked up. We had extensive damage to our brand new Audi after we were rear-ended on the freeway. Karry's even asked about our safety and if we were feeling alright when discussing the accident. (Our insurance company didn't even deliver that...but that's a different posting) If we ever need auto body service again, I know exactly where to go.
I feel guilty because I meant to write this review so much sooner. I needed to take my car in for some minor body work before selling it, just to make her look extra nice for the prospective buyers. This was back in May of 2007 or so.
It was easy to get an appointment, Karry was very nice and knowledgable, and I totally did not get that feeling of being ripped off because I'm a girl.
He told me a few different options, what it would cost, and what he would recommend (a reasonably priced option that would give my car a clean new look).
I picked her up and she looked fantastic! Thanks, Karry!
On Christmas Eve, a gentleman in a beat up Ford F150 was backing down the street and didn't stop till his his bumper was in my back door. The door was destroyed - totally punched in. It was appalling. Luckily no damage extended beyond the door. Also, luckily, this gentleman had insurance.
I keep my car in mint condition. It's a silver Infiniti G35. It's almost 3 years old, and almost not a scratch on in - till now. So, for me it was very important that when the door was replaced, it wouldn't look all rough and/or discolored like you see on some cars. I wanted it to look like nothing ever happened - the way it did before.
So, I consulted Yelp, and searched for a body shop that had good reviews, and maybe even some feedback on similar damage that was repaired. The reviews about how much business Karry has are all true. It's amazing how much work they have, and how efficient they are at getting it all done.
Karry told me to come out on, I believe it was the 26th, and he quickly assessed the damage, and gave me an estimate.
I dropped my car off on Monday morning (1/8/08) - I wasn't in a hurry to get it fixed, mind you. I don't drive much, and I wasn't interested in a rental car, even though insurance would have covered one (and they will arrange for one to come there and drop off a rental car for you). I was told that it would take probably about 1 1/2 weeks.
The person who hit my car had AAA insurance (which also was very good about coming to inspect my car, and negotiating with Karry).
Saturday, Karry called me and told me it *might* possibly be ready on Monday (15th). It wasn't ready by Monday, so I called on Tuesday - he explained that the delay had to do with reprogramming the back window to roll up and down, and that he hoped it would be ready by end of day Tuesday. So he called me back at about 4pm to tell me it will be ready by 6.
It was all waxed, shiny, and clean. Smelled good inside, too. But most of all, my car looked beautiful - like nothing ever happened, and the way I wanted it to look. I didn't think they could make it look so good. Karry even says I can come in later and get touch ups when I get chips in the paint from rocks - that it's covered for the life of my car.
I'll definitely bring my car back here for repairs, the next time some wonderful person smashes into me.

Karry is awesome, if only based on the aforementioned pre-painted parts. How cool is that. I dropped off der volvo in the morning, after taking it in the day before for an estimate. Karry did his auto body magic. Brand new bumper.
I brought my BMW to Frisco only a couple months ago, but boy almighty did parking on these streets do a number on the exterior. My back bumper was scratched up as if someone took a chisel to it.
My car was mint before I started dating a girl in the Haight and parking there.
Anyway I now have a garage space, and decided to get the damage repaired. BMW quoted me a price, Karry matched it and actually ended up beating it.
The whole experience was fantastic. I got an estimate and appointment the same week. They gave me a ride to the BART after I dropped off my car, and I didn't have to ask. They finished the job on time and did and excellent job.
Not only is the bumper back to minty condition, but they fixed other dings and a pretty large scratch on the rear quarter for free! Biggest plus is that as long as I own the car, I can some back to these guys for touchups at no cost.
Will definitely go here again, but I hope I don't have to for a long time :)
If you need body work, this place should be on your short list.
Karry did a great job recently on my poor Civic after it got hit by one of SF famous drivers. Problem was that a few months ago it had been stolen and stripped, so this time I didn't want to use insurance. Karry bent over backwards to find the most cost-effective way of fixing it. Two days later the car looked like new!! Great, friendly, fast service. Best auto shop experience I have ever had. STRONGLY recommended.
My husband was towing a trailer in Tahoe and the trailer slid on some ice and jackknifed against the side of his truck, leaving a HUGE dent. We couldn't go through insurance so we were pretty nervous about how much this would cost. We read great reviews about Karry's on Yelp so decided to take the truck over there.
Karry was extremely nice, helpful and accomodating. His price was better than the other estimates I got and he reduced his labor price per hour by a lot since we weren't going through insurance.
I just got the truck back from Karry and it looks brand new. He did a great job and even washed the truck and vacuumed the interior. Thanks Karry!!
This is the business that finally made me join Yelp after being an avid user for 4 years.
I used Yelp to find a body shop that could fix a minor parking lot accident on the bumper of my brand new car. :( I called Karry's Auto at 10am today and asked if I could stop in for a quote. He told me to come in at 12:30 today. I showed up a little early, he looked over my car and told me all my car needs in a buff and polish. He told me he will do this free of charge. It will only take him 15 mins to do and does not want to charge me. I even told him that the woman that hit me in the parking lot is willing to pay for the cost. Still, he wants me to come back on Thursday so he can buff this out for free. I was out of there by 12:40.
I met up with the woman who hit my car to tell her what happened. She got some minor damage from hitting me as well and said she will definitely call Karry tomorrow to fix her car.
No doubt I will always use Karry's Auto Body Center.
Had a great experience with Karry's. I had to give them a call because some mofo keyed my car! Giant initials on the door of my 2005 Accord. I'm just lucky I didn't have a stroke right there or make one of my eyeballs pop out through anger alone.
Karry helped me out though. Fast service and great attention to detail. He even found some additional damage that the adjuster had missed and took care of getting the estimate increased. Super easy process and my car looks great again.

I'd like to start off by saying that I found out about this place through Yelp. I had gotten into a minor accident and went directly to you all for the best.
Karry was extremely professional and took the time to explain everything he was doing. He was very responsive and let me know precisely how long it would take to get the work done. I'd have go say that the attention to detail and customer service are stellar. as expected, the car looks spectacular.
I'll be able to say "I got a guy" when anyone ever asks me if I know an auto shop in the future. Pay the knowledge forward!
This guy won't screw you over. The estimate for my bumper damage was reasonable and was about $200 less than this other place I went to. The people that work there are friendly and personable. He even came to my house to pick me up so that I can get my car! I would recommend him to anybody!
Karry was totally attentive and had my car repaired really fast - in two days, for a signifigant amount of work. It looks great. He arranged for my rental and was a conscientous middle-man as the accident was a little complicated... He gave a labor discount and fixed my bumper that was broken from another fender bender for free. My former auto body person was totally lame and put my bumber back on with duct tape (that I never knew was there). Now my headlight doesn't wobble out of the socket when I go over pot holes! And my car is very clean now, too! I totally recommend this place.
Karry let me bring in a window from a Porsche junkyard out in Hayward -- that alone saved me more than $200 off a new factory one. He also got the job done quicker than he estimated. On top of that, he was friendly and very professional.
I highly recommend him and his shop.
USEFUL SIDE NOTE: If you want or need to stick around while the work is being done, there is a bowling alley three blocks over at Yerba Buena Gardens. Stay away from lane 7 though. I swear it's got a hump in the middle of it. I am a bad bowler but give me a freakin' break . . .

Karry did an excellent job repairing my 05 4Runner after being rearended. He also did an great job repairing a tire flare peice another body shop had failed to do correctly. He had the Truck completed in less than 24 hours after I dropped it off. Free estimate, and was able to get me in when I needed. Least Painful experience dealing with a body shop ever, which is saying alot. I would take my truck back to carry if needed in a heartbeat.
My poor civic was broken into and radio was stolen. The thief also broke the console on my dashboard. After reading the excellent reviews on yelp, I decided to give Karry a call.
Karry ordered the part for me (took about a week because of the holiday) Even though I couldn't come until after work, they stayed after hours (they are open until 6PM) to install the console. He also fixed my dangling cigarette lighter and broken glove compartment (both broken before the incident) without me asking.
Karry provided great efficient service and had great attention to detail. He took the time to make sure everything was done correctly. I highly recommend Karry!
Five stars doesn't even do Karry's Auto Body Center justice! Must go!
Months ago, my boyfriend's car was broken into and Karry took care of it by replacing the broken window and rear view mirror for a very reasonable price. The service was efficient and detailed!
Yesterday, I scratched up my boyfriend's car by accident ! Out of desperation, I brought the car to see Karry an hour before he closed hoping that he would be able to help me out.
He immediately attended to the scratches by polishing them, repainting and even went out of his way to brush up on other damages that I wasn't aware of! The best part is? It was all free of charge!
And get this.. Even though he doesn't offer these services himself.. he made several phone calls on the spot to get me a quote for my much-needed-to-be-replaced tires, an alignment and car maintenance!
This is the only place I feel safe bringing my car to! Must go! Now!

I awoke to a broken rear window in my car and called Karry asap (He always answers his phone personally). Within a couple of hours, i was in and out and with a shiny new window, for a very affordable price to boot.
He has more than reasonable prices, is friendly, helpful and very cool in an unpretentious, refreshing way.
He also specializes in great auto-body work at reasonable prices, from what I am told.
He's the man.

Karry is a standup, honest, knowledgeable business owner. He treats the customer right. I've been to this place twice to fix the inevitable bumps and bruises brought on by city parking, and both times he has lowered his hourly rates to accomodate my thriftiness. The last time he quoted me a price for filling a dent and repainting, then clear coating up to a panel line. When I came to pick up the car, he informed me that he had in fact clear coated the entire thing so as to ensure a seamless finish. Best of all, the original estimate still stood. In an industry that often takes advantage of the little guy, Karry is a welcome relief. Check him out for yourself. You'll be impressed.
After Rock the Bells I decided to "bap the whip" (fender bender) into a taxi. It was completely my fault and I had no one to blame except for myself. So on Monday I went around and got a few estimates. The 1st place I went to was asking for $1250. They were going on and on about paint matching for a MBZ and how much labor would cost to take apart the bumper because it is constructed in 3 pieces. The 2nd place i went to had a much better price but was extremely sketchy.
So the next day I bring my car into Karry's. Karry's price was the lowest by far. The work was top notch and when I picked up my car it was immaculate . It was so clean that it put that spot on Divis & Oak to shame (You know the one). I would recommend Karry's to anyone who's day has been ruined by an accident. You won't feel as bad after you talk to him.

This morning I get to work and roll down my window to drive into the parking garage - then I try to roll it up and it only goes up half way and stops - I mess with it in the garage for about 15 minutes but no luck. Happy Monday!
I'm hesitant to bring my car to the shop as I'm more of a DIY type - but I needed this thing fixed before driving home and doing the street parking thing. Rather than go to the dealer I decided to first check Yelp, and glad I am that I did.
Karry's has great reviews and they are spot on. Honest, efficient, and very reasonable rates. I would definitely recommend Karry's to my friends and colleagues.

Some drunk guy in my neighborhood attempted to parallel park in between my car and another car and needless to say, some damage was done. I called Karry on a Saturday, he told me to come on over, gave me an estimate and totally lived up to all the reviews on this site. He talked to me about how which insurance was most likely to pay for what and in general made the process painless. He followed up when I hadn't called back by Tuesday and by Thursday my car had been fixed. I have already recommended Karry (to the other guy in the parallel parking damage and now, to a friend for a windshield job).

Karry's did an excellent job repairing my Audi when I got rear-ended on the freeway. It was easy to get an appointment, and I was able to drop off the car the same day as the accident. When everything was completed, the car looked new again. Efficient and friendly service!
I just got my Audi back from here. I had a hit and run accident with my car and can not thank Yelp enough for leading me to this body shop. I have had pretty extensive experience with body shops in the past in Southern California and was hesitant on looking for a body shop in SF. However, I can not be more pleased.
Excellent work! I am very pleased with the service and quality of their work. Karry is very nice and definitely phenomenal to work with.
I was sitting at my place yesterday and all of the sudden the SF Fire Dept kindley knock on my door to tell me they hit my parked car. (1968 Plymouth Valiant). :-(
I called Karry to see if they were open today July 7th and who answers his cell phone Karry. The guy was at his own personal wedding getting married and HE ANSWERED MY CALL....WOW!!!! I can only say, what customer service already.

After reading all the positve reviews, I took my car to Karry for repair. I had a small dent in the driver's side door. Karry did a fantastic job repairing my car. He had to repaint the entire door and the color match is perfect. He worked quickly and I got a great price. I will take all my auto body work to Karry's in the future.
Karry said he'd fix up the dinged side panel on my car to be 89% what it was before I scraped it up a bit, but he shouldn't have been so modest -- the panel looks more like 100% back in shape to me.
I called Karry's after all the great Yelp reviews and loved the work they did -- and I loved the quote I got, which was much better than the price my dealer had offered. Quick work, too. I'll definitely use them again if I have too, although of course I hope I won't have to.
One caveat -- when you go to pick up your car check the buffing/polishing is all in order. Karry spotted it before I did, and fixed it right away and was really apologetic, but his buffer guy hadn't finished polishing one of the doors properly. Then when I got home I saw there were some buffer goop spots in the interior, but it's no biggie and one of these days I'll get around to wiping them off myself. And I still call Karry's a five-star shop.
I called once, left a message asking for window repair quotes, asking if I could get my windows fixed today, no response... called again a few hours later, and was told they don't do window repairs on Saturday and gave me a number to another place. Considering the reviews here and how 'after hours' this place was, and their listed office hours are 10-2 on Saturday, I was unimpressed he didn't even give it a shot at 11:30 am on a Saturday.
Certainly not the window repair superman yelp claims it is. Maybe customer service falls by the way side when too many people say good things?
EDIT: Found great place, in & out window's, not only did he beat every quote i found on a saturday, he came out to my place, cleaned the car, had it looking new & clean within the hour! 2 windows and a cleaning for under $250!
