Karma Cream is a fun new place for dessert. On a personal level, I don't carry whether the ice cream is vegan or not -- I just want it to taste good and overall it does. They can make something akin to a milkshake but with coffee and ice cream which is like the best iced coffee ever: not too thick, nor too sweet. It is my understanding they have both dairy-based and vegan (soy milk-based) ice cream on offer and their selection is seasonal and thus will vary from time to time.
The only down-side is that there's not a whole lot of room at Karma Cream to eat in and sometimes on weekends it gets a bit crowded and busy. Also, their non-ice cream desserts such as cupcakes are a pale cry from the quailty of Volta's baked goodies. For the ice cream itself, though, Karma Cream is pretty good and a welcome addition to late-night dessert options in town.
Wow, what a great place for ice cream. I tried the vegan and the dairy ice creams. The dairy one has a better texture, but the vegan one was good. I probably wouldn't have ever noticed a real difference unless I ate them side-by-side like I did.
Next time, I'm getting the make-your-own ice cream sandwich. You pick the homemade cookies and the ice cream center! Sounds tantalizing, doesn't it?
They also have fair trade coffee and teas, along with free wifi for those who need to stay connected. Parking in this area can be difficult, especially when UF is in session.

They make everything from scratch, organic, karma free, etc. down to their whipped cream and the "cookie" part of their ice cream sandwiches. They have two sections, one with vegan ice cream (not bad, not sorbet-y) and dairy based ice cream (hella good).
Really good ice cream. Love their flavors. Atmosphere is great too, and its walkable from campus and you can shop in the little boutiques on the same street as you enjoy some delicious ice cream!

In addition to the 24 flavors of dairy ice cream (available on a rotating basis) - Karma Cream also has 16 flavors of Vegan (non-dairy) ice cream. Plus a wide assortment of homemade toppings to choose from.
Or try a baked treat. The selection changes every day -with a large variety available on days we feel industrious and a smaller selection on days we've eaten too much of our own product.
You can also indulge in an organic and fair trade coffee or espresso. Or throw back a beer (choose from 10 different organic varieties) with friends while playing some PS3.
