This was our first time here. So we read the reviews and we're really excited to try the oxtail egg rolls even though they were $4 each. We finally received them after 10 minutes even though we were the only ones in the building. They were extremely greasy and had no flavor whatsoever. When we were able to finally find a piece of oxtail it just tasted like unseasoned pot roast. Very disappointed. To top it off, it was extremely dirty in the building with dead flies everywhere and food all over the floor. And if you wanted to eat in they charged a 15% gratuity. Are you kidding me? I'm all for trying a dive but this push my limits.

That moment you're driving from VA beach to NY and you're starving and you see a sign for WaWA and you've realized you've ate at the past 4 Wawas and you just couldn't do it anymore
So then out of desperation you yelp "Caribbean food" because you miss home -cooked food.
You find a place like this..whole in the wall spot in the middle of a road. And because you're starving you are bold enough to step in..
Best Jamaican food experience I've ever had (and I'm from New York). The owner, Lincoln, greeted us and the place immediately felt like home.
The food was outstanding..from the oxtail roll to the jerk pork dish with plantains and rice.
We need Lincoln to move to NY and make NY a better place..cuisine wise. 5 starsHelpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Michael K.Plano, TX1826356May 16, 2015
Get off the highway if you are on the way to or from the beach and make a stop in Smyrna to have some of THE VERY BEST BBQ anywhere.
Skimming over the hotel visitor guide I came across a short review of this hole-in-the-wall in the middle of nowhere (really - don't expect any touristy spots in the neighborhood) and made the 35-mile trek to South Smyrna.
The young owner,Lincoln, and his mother-in-law were in. Both are lovely people to meet and spend some time with.
The ribs, collard greens, and plantains were all perfectly prepared. The ribs were very moist, with a thin layer of fat that added the perfect flavor. It has been years since I had ribs this well done. Oh, did I mention plantains? Order a portion and try it for yourself. Perfection!
There are only three tables inside, and don't expect silverware and fine china. It is bare bones and it allows you to focus on the people, music, and ultimately the food.
You cannot go wrong here.
(I write this knowing that the Texas BBQ Gods will crucify me at home - especially when I say that hey can all learn a little from Lincoln!)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Candi B.Dover, DE3413May 26, 2017
Great customer service (hence the 1 star)
Food is absolutely not authentic Jamaican food. Bland, tasteless, and insipid.
Just awful food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rebecca B.Melville, NY101624Jun 3, 2016
Came here on a whim while driving back to New York...and My God! This is THE BEST JAMAICAN FOOD I've had since I've been to Jamaica. I had the pleasure of meeting Lincoln, the owner, who also was our cook that day as well. The spot is small but he makes you feel welcomed. Even the patrons coming in made us feel at home. Everyone's dishes were sooo good. From the jerk chicken to the curry goat and curry chicken to the pork, Lincoln definitely knows how to throw down. We were begging him to come to Brooklyn so he can be more accessible to our stomachs. Lincoln cooks with passion and love, and we can't wait for him to come up north where he belongs lol. Whether you're in the area or not, make to trip to check out Karibbean BBQ grill.
PS unfortunately I don't have any pictures because everything was so finger licking good..and wear comfortable clothing because you will leave here stuffed : )Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Chrissy P.Middletown, DE01011May 27, 2018
No... just no... I'm not sure what kind of Caribbean country this establishment is primarily preparing their food for but there is no way that it's Jamaican. The rice was very salty and not the traditional rice and peas. More like a New Orleans rice and beans style. I couldn't eat the jerk chicken. Looked undercooked-still pink and no flavor in the chicken just somewhat on the skin. The cabbage looked days old and brownish. The oxtails were not too bad but the price for a medium being $15 was outrageous. Oh! And the "spinners" aka dumpling that they put in the oxtail was all mush! Could crush with your fork. The overall prices in general are just too high especially for the quality. The overall establishment was not too clean and the carpet had stale smells (other than food) seeping up. The place just needs an overall thorough cleaning. I think this was my first and last. Extremely Disappointing.

Karribean Grill after a long day of driving.
The BEST JAMAICAN FOOD IVE HAD OUTSIDE OF NEGRIL JAMAICA.
Owner is a friendly guy who we are trying to bring home because NY is in definite need of a power chef like Lincoln.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - R P.Smyrna, DE12764Jun 2, 2015
I was pleasantly surprised. I drive past this establishment often, and seen the smoke nicely flowing off the outdoor grill. The food I purchased today was a Jerk chicken dinner and a jerk rib dinner both were amazing. The dinners were nicely seasoned, the portions were suitable, and staff was very friendly. I will be back, nice job!!

Stop for the Ribs. Chicken is literally falling of the bone as well. Don't overthink it or judge the interior. Owner greets everyone and is clearly happy to cook.
