Yesterday we had a wonderful cooking class with Karen Lee. She was patient, generous, supportive, and extremely knowledgable. Her ingredients were outstanding and the recipes were replicable and straight forward.  Her technics were very helpful and she at all times exhibited an infectious love of cooking.
We plan to  go often. Interestingly we found her through Yelp!!
    A+ all around.

What a great experience! I found Karen through a site called http://Hoodeals.com. What a great site! It listed a whole bunch of deals in my neighborhood and also offered coupons. So Karen was a delight...full of energy and great tips! We made duck, rice, brussel sprouts and a delicious cake. She even offered a free 2 hour baking class before the cooking class. I loved it...will definitely be back to both places!

Karen is always 5 stars in my book! I've taken about 5 classes at this point and bring a diff friend each time. Everybody rants and raves about this amazing class! If you're trying to decide on a class, pick this one hands down A+!

I took my first Karen Lee cooking class in December and it was hands down the best cooking class I have ever attended. Karen's theme of  "cook for taste, eat for health" is the perfect balance. Her recipes are practical and can be used for week night meals and  for entertaining.

Karen teaches portable cooking skills that have already changed the way I cook at home. The casual environment and intimate setting made it really easy to extract tips and pointers than often get lost in more formalized cooking schools/classes.

Also, I love that Karen gives you all of her secrets for where to buy the best ingredients in NYC.

I can't wait for my next class with Karen!

I really enjoyed my cooking class with Karen Lee.  Her classes focus on organic, healthy foods but not in a crazy at-the-cost-of-tasting-good way, but rather yummy simple food that happens to be delicious.  I really liked it.

    We made:
--a white bean and chickpea dip (sort of like a take on hummus)
    --roasted brussel sprouts
--roasted butternut squash with fresh rosemary
    --arugula and beet salad
--cilantro rice (which blended two different grains of brown rice)
--poached red snapper with tomato, onion, jalapeno
--carrot cake with cream cheese icing

The classes have about 10 people in them and she opens a few bottles of wine as you eat the final product.

All of it was simple enough that you'd feel capable of doing it on a random night after work, but all of it was very tasty.  I'd recommend.  I got a gift certificate for the course from http://XperienceDays.com, but I think the price is $100 a person.

I was so lucky to receive a Karen Lee cooking class as a gift from my wonderful sons.
Having attended a previous cooking class, from a Le Cordon Bleu graduate,  this experience was far more entertaining, fun & informative. Karen uses only the finest organic ingredients, and the outcome of the fabulous food we all participated in preparing, tasted phenomenal. I am a fairly experienced cook, I've prepared meals for our family parties for up to 150, and Karen gave us great tips & tricks of the trade that I'd never known before, and will certainly use. She's warm, friendly...a master at her craft and oh, SO knowledgeable in such a fun way. I am  excited to take more of her classes, & will also get some gift certificates to share with my family and friends. I highly recommend this class!!!

I took Karen Lee's class on Saturday.  She is a warm caring person and such an inclusive teacher!!!!!!!! All ingredients were fresh and healthy.  My classmates were such an interesting group.  I'm going back for more even though I've been cooking for years I learned a lot and Karen's recipes are wonderful.  I came away with lots of cooking and shopping tips.
