I've had Kandice do my sugaring for about a year, and she's incredible.
After my first appointment with her (and first ever sugaring experience), I decided to try Sugar Sugar down the street just so I could compare establishments. Needless to say, I had a horrible experience at Sugar Sugar. (The girl who worked on me, Tiffany, forgot to leave a landing strip, didn't go back and check for stray hairs, and was a poor conversationalist.)
After that visit, I vowed to stick with Kandice. She's fast, thorough, super sweet and funny, and fair!
At one recent visit, there was a booking error and she put me down for an hour earlier than I had planned. When I didn't show at the earlier time, she thought I was a no-show. Then when I did arrive, she had less time to work on me because there was another client coming soon after. But even though we had less time to work with, Kandice still did everything on the agenda, with time to spare! She even did my armpits and toes for free, and demanded I not tip her. (I did anyway.)
She's a sweetheart. -

This is my first review on Yelp, and what got me to do it was simply because of how fabulous Kandice is. Not only is she a fantastic sugar-ist, but she is also a truly genuine, intelligent and hilarious person.
As many have said already, she is very good at distracting you with personable conversation right at the moment you need it most. (And it's not that awfully mundane dentist appointment conversation either.) I didn't feel like a 'client' and never had the feeling that she was trying to kiss my a$$ for my ca$h. She even refused my generous tip, and insisted that I cut it in half. I was just so amazed that I walked away from a supposedly painful experience in a great mood.
The sugaring experience itself is obviously going to hurt, but it didn't hurt nearly as bad as I had imagined. And the results were phenomenal. And the price? Unbeatable for such a fantastic experience. Look at me, saying what a fantastic experience getting my hair ripped out was. But that's how Kandice works her magic.
Plus, online scheduling? Booya. -

I originally had an appointment with another business in town who cancelled on me at the last minute due to personal issues. For me having a brazilian is like going into a fight, you gotta psych yourself up first. So despite the cancellation I decided I was getting waxed that day and nothing was getting in my way. After an hour of researching reviews and calling businesses and only getting voicemails I finally called Kandice. I was about to leave her a message when she actually answered her phone and told me she could fit me in that day. Score!
Her web-site lists both wax and sugaring, so I assumed I would have the option of wax. It wasn't until I was lying on the table that I realized she only does sugaring. It was my own fault because upon further reading on her site, she does specify that she only does sugaring now because it's all-natural and produces less waste. I was a little nervous as I have only been waxed before, but I was surprised that sugaring didn't hurt any more than regular wax, if not even a slight less painful.
Kandice herself is an awesome human being. She is super friendly, down-to-earth and fuckin hilarious! I wouldn't say I had a great time during my session, but let's just say that I had about the best time you can imagine as someone is ripping out hairs from your nether regions. Kandice does an awesome job at keeping you engaged in conversation and distracting you from the inevitable pain not to mention embarrassment that comes with getting a brazilian. Not only that, but the end result is outstanding. For the quality of work that she does her prices are unbeatable. I will definitely be back for my next brazilian and maybe even throw in a facial while I'm at it. -

I'm not going to lie, it hurt, but not too bad.
Kandice was great, and I will definitely be going back. This was the first time I'd ever been sugared, and I've never been waxed, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was very concerned about it being awkward, but it wasn't at all.
She was incredibly professional, and it was easy to talk to her to distract myself from the discomfort. You can tell she genuinely enjoys her job, and she does a great job at it. I've had more awkward experiences in elevators, and more painful experiences stumbling around my house in the dark. The pain only lasted a brief second, and it will be well worth it to not have to deal with shaving.
I also really like the fact that there is hardly any waste. Just a little ball of the sugar-stuff. If you're on the fence, I would definitely encourage you to give her a call. I wish I would have done this sooner, but I kept chickening out. Also, I should mention that parking was really easy. I hate having to search for parking for appointments. -

Kandice is wonderful. I have been seeing her for two years for my full Brazilian and a few other small things. She is very personable and I really enjoy going to see here even when I am in lots of pain from having hair pulled out of tender places.
She turned me onto a wonderful skin care line and my skin has never looked better.
Kandice is also very honest and professional. More than once mistakenly over paid and every time she has caught it and made sure I paid the fair and correct amount.
Honestly sometimes I try to over tip her when I have a good week at work(sharing the love because I love her service) but she always insists I tip the standard fair amount.
It's little things like this that will keep me coming back to Kandice. -

this is a review I started to write a while back, and somehow never hit enter on. all comments still apply:
I haven't even had a massage from Kandice yet and I give her 5 stars.
you know that gut feeling that you've found something really spectacular, and that gut feeling only comes once in a blue moon? Well, I got that after talking to her. I already felt good energy from her site, but when I called on a sunday looking for a same day massage, I left kandice a message saying, "no need to call me back if you can't squeeze me in today."
well, Kandice called me back, but it wasn't because she could fit me in her schedule. she called to apologize that she couldn't because she was sick. This woman called me while she was SICK! that's dedicated communication. She's a better woman, as I would have guiltlessly rolled over and smacked that ringer on my phone.
Kandice, I'm finally going to schedule a facial with you this week. I promise! -

Kandice is everything I look for in a sugaring and overall salon experience. Her hours are accommodating and flexible, she is professional and experienced, hilarious at times, and her space is clean and inviting.
What makes Kandice so great is that she reads people. When she is working with you she can sense if you are in a good mood and she will joke with you, or if you're scared she will make you feel at ease (as was the case with my first sugary Brazilian).
She is a serious pro, I get a full Brazilian in less than 20 minutes and it is perfect. Sugaring is in no way like waxing. My skin feels softer not dryer after I visit Kandice. There is hardly any redness and it's much less painful.
At the end of the day there is no one I would go to over Kandice and no one who I wouldn't recommend her to. She consistently delivers the best sugaring at the best price with the best attitude! -

I just got a bikini and eyebrow sugaring this past week from Kandice and I will definitely be back!
Not only was the sugaring relatively pain-free (ok, there were a few times that I said ouch). The tips on her website made it so that I did not get any whiteheads, which has been a problem for me when I've done sugaring before.
The price was good, the location is convenient, and Kandice is wonderful to talk to, which is especially nice to take your mind off of the hair being ripped out of your body!
One other thing; I love the convenience of scheduling an appointment through her website online.
I highly recommend her services and I will definitely be back! -

I actually created an account so that I could post about how good my experience with Kandice was.
Kandice managed to get me in last minute, which was awesome- I'd given up hope, since it's the first weekend of spring break and everyone's got the same idea. I got a Brazilian and a full leg, and she did a wonderful job. Brazilians are by nature a bit awkward, but Kandice made me feel completely at ease. She's very nice and a pleasure to talk to (although if you don't feel like talking she'll take the hint) and so thorough. She'll tweeze the hairs that manage to evade the sugar, leaving you feeling silky smooth. The place was clean and nicely decorated, and the prices are excellent compared to some of the places I've seen around. Kandice managed to turn a painful and potentially embarrassing experience into a great one, and I will be returning for all of my sugaring needs. -

Went in for my first Brazilian experience and was a bit nervous to say the least. Kandice was a real pro and put me right at ease. She actually made the experience funny if you can believe it and I was really impressed with the result. Highly recommend her she was amazing and I will definitely go back!

My first sugaring (or waxing) experience, and she was wonderful. Kandice is gentle, funny and effective. She's open very late which is great for my work schedule.
Be aware that she is inside of another facility called Space, so you should look for that sign outside. -

Kandice is fantastic! This was my first experience with sugaring, and while it was not less painful than waxing, it didn't irritate my skin as much and of course it is way more eco-friendly. Kandice is pleasant and engaging to talk with and her attention to detail is remarkable.

I went to Kandice today based on what I had read on Yelp (thank you fellow commenters) and was thoroughly pleased. If you're going to have your hair ripped out, it's best to go to someone who's fun, interesting, and lively to distract you from the discomfort. She's the greatest!

I've waxed before, but never sugared. It was just as easy as waxing and much quicker. There are also no fragrances or wierd pepto-bismal pink colorations to what's going on my skin (unlike waxing). Kandice was friendly and easy to chat with; I will definitely return.

I haven't written a Yelp review in a while, but was inspired to get back on the horse in support of Kandice and her burgeoning business. I got sugared today, which I had never done before. Kandice was kind, quick, and easy-going. She didn't launch into any voluminous explanation about technique, but was happy to "talk shop" and answer any questions I had. I also appreciate that she tries to support other local businesses, like by offering Ballard Organics soaps in the restroom. She tried to develop her new Spa(ce) to be as "green" as possible, and I appreciated her conscientious approach to that. I'd definitely go back and would recommend her to my friends...um, and apparently all you Yelpers out there, too.

I went to Kandice to get my first Brazilian and the experience was much less painful than I had imagined it would be. She was considerate and she made me feel comfortable while I was there... and I love, love, love the results!!! I'll definitely be back.

Not only is she the only person I go to for sugaring, and massage. She is now retailing the most amazing skin care... Somme!!!! Somme is one of those skin care lines that has people asking you what you recently changed. Was is your hair? Nope! Great skin care. Anyway. Thanks Kandice!

Kandice's practice is easy to find with cool clean modern look. Her practice was very clean and professional. I have gotten excellent bikini waxings and massages from Kandice. For the waxing I have done both the regular wax and the sugaring. Both are great but I prefer the sugaring from Kandice's practice because she is quick and makes it is painless as possible. I have a low threshold for pain and so it is nice to find someone who does it quickly! The massages are great because she really listens to what areas need the most attention. I have a lot of issues with my shoulders and she knows exactly where to find all of my pressure points!!!

Kandice is professional, charismatic, and very gentle. I am a more mature (read: older) client, but she makes me feel at ease and has done wonders for my eyebrows -- besides the usual brow shaping, it was her idea to tint the sparse ends. Her work is wonderful. She listens and offers suggestions. Bikini "sugaring" is much less painful than waxing and no dreaded redness or ingrown issues. Kandice's space is immaculate, she has flexible hours, and it is very easy to schedule an appointment. She's the best . Highly recommend.

I don't get bikini waxes often because they are usually such uncomfortable experiences (in every sense of the word), but I might have to do it more often after a truly excellent sugaring experience today with Kandice! Her salon is a relaxing space to be in, and she is very genuine and professional. She does a great job of engaging you in conversation to keep you distracted while the hairs are coming out, and lets you know what's happening every step of the way. I liked that she gave me a mirror to check out the progress every so often. I felt at ease the whole time! She was efficient and did a perfect job--exactly what I wanted. I'll be back for sure.

I've been to Kandice for both sugaring and massage, and I can heartily recommend her services. Spa(ce) has a nice, clean atmosphere, parking was easy, and she is on time and straightforward about what she's doing (talks you through it). I am now a convert to sugaring - it was quick, felt less painful than waxing, and I find the concept more pleasant (in the fact that it's sugar rather than lots of pieces of wax and paper).
