This beach was right across the street from our condo.

It's very shallow, and part of it is walled off from the open ocean. It's a native Hawaiian fish park that's being restored. There's signs with  facts pertaining to the founding and such posted around the park.

We basically had the beach to ourselves. We later figured out why....

In "Maui Revealed" they suggest not swimming here.Reason being, there can be bad algae problems.
The day we were there the water was clear, and had no odor.
There was a woman swimming there with her child, and she said it was fine to be there.
Maybe on other days the water's different.
It's really pretty, and it's nice to have what feels like your own private beach.
After reading the article, we didn't go back, Although, we probably wouldn't have anyway, since there are so many beaches in the area.

Even if you don't swim there, it's a nice park to walk around in. I found the history of it interesting.
