Kalaloch Lodge...
A GREAT place for rest and relaxation after a long day of exploring the Olympic Peninsula.

Definitely suggest getting a cabin on the Bluff...
AMAZING views and absolutely puts you at peace while drinking a glass of wine, participating in good conversation and listening to the waves crash against the shore...

The cabin was clean and adorable.

Since we had a "studio" cabin, we didn't have a kitchen, but did have a mini fridge and a coffee maker... Which was definitely a good thing to have to store our energy drinks and water for the next day.

It had a futon couch with a coffee table that we rearranged to face the huge window to be able to watch the ocean.

Also included was a Franklin fireplace with two bundles of firewood... which we used solely as our source of heat and having a firefighter in the group, we had no problem starting a fire, giggle...
It definitely kept us more than warm for the night.  If we would have been smart, we would have realized that there was also an electric heater in the room, but we didn't realize this until the next morning.. OH WELL, it wasn't needed.

The reception staff was welcoming, accommodating and pleasant.

A short path from the property takes you to the beach to walk on and enjoy the sunset.

Besides the restaurant located in the main lodge, they also have a mercantile store where you can purchase food to snack on, additional firewood, etc.

What a great place for an end destination for a weekend getaway.

So fun here! Quaint cabins equipped with fireplaces, kitchens and the basics. They are very nice accommodations. There is a restaurant/bar/giftshop at the entrance for everything you need if you didn't prepare - which is fine, because this is a great place to run away to on a whim.  We had great stiff drinks at night and a nice breakfast in the a.m. Service was awesome from check in to check out.
But the best part, is the OCEAN right down the cliff. You're just steps away from a beautiful beach and the crashing waves, which you can hear from your cabin with the windows open.
I would definitely stay here again!

A truly wonderful place.  I've sent friends there who absolutely love it as well and they plan on going back.

I've never had the opportunity to stay here because I almost always find myself camping elsewhere in the region, but the setting here is stunning.  For the views alone, it's worth a stop.

The real reason I'm writing here is for the salmon and eggs breakfast.  You haven't had salmon until you've had it here.   I can't go past this place without ordering a plate.  Okay, the review is over because I've just made myself hungry.

Heard the restaurant was good so stopped by.  Turned out later that the recommendation was really for a different place, and I'm not surprised.  View is awesome, but the restaurant itself was overpriced for pretty mediocre food.  I had fish and chips.  Fish was okay, although pretty heavily breaded.  Chips were really soggy and not very edible.  Service was slow and not particularly friendly.  Kind of "Welcome.  How soon can you pay and leave?"  No refills on drinks or any real attention except to take the order, and drop off the food and bill.  If you're staying here, you might not have much of a choice, but if you're not, don't waste the time.  There's better food (and service) in Forks.

This is a great location for a quiet get away from everything.

We got a room in a cabin overlooking the ocean. It's quite small, but cute. Wood interior with a franklin stove and a refrigerator, but no TV. We'll have to amuse ourselves with our laptops, books, fire, and the ocean.

During dinner, we not only were entertained by the ocean waves coming in, but there was a group of people beating each other with the long pool flotation devices and then building some sort of structures with those same cylinders. While walking by on our way to our cabin we noticed they had a flip chart, so it must have been some sort of motivational retreat of some kind. We also got to see a little chipmunk trying to climb up flower stalks in front of the restaurant window.

This is an excellent spot for an overnight stop as you are driving through the Peninsula.  If you book it early enough to get a cabin on the bluff it makes for a perfect day and evening.  You can walk for miles up and down the beach.  There is a ton of driftwood here which is cool to look at too.

I would recommend trying for a cabin with a kitchen and bringing your own food. If that doesn't work I have found the food in the main lodge to be just fine. But it seems like you get a nice experience by cooking in your cabin.

Also, there are old wood heaters if it is cold or you need to make smores!
