We got a lunch combo, which consisted of soft tofu/oyster soup and tender beef, plus lots a few of the little Korean side dishes. The food was good, yes, but the tofu a bit slimy for my palate. Plus, the side dishes weren't as good as I've found at other places nor were they as varied or plentiful. The saddest part was the rice, though. At least one quarter of it was burnt onto the bottom of the rice pan, which I found to be a dreadful waste and made me feel bad for all the starving children in North Korea.

I honestly want to like this place more, especially because it's a lot of food for the price, but it's not up to standards for more than three stars, especially in an area saturated with Asian eateries.

I dig this place for a couple reasons:

-It's never super crowded (even on weekends)
-Service is fast and friendly
-The side dishes are VERY yummy
-The tofu has good flavor to it
-It's located near a Tapioca Express in case you need to get your milk tea fix after

We went here hungry Saturday night - I got the curry tofu and he ordered the mushroom one. I'm a fan of curry in general, and not sure if it was because I was starving or the curry was just super delicious - it hit the spot. The side dishes consisted of kimchi, spicy cucumber, beansprouts, some sort of apple macaroni salad, acorn jelly (?), and of course fried fish.

The place is smaller than the other tofu houses we've been too (Koba and BCD) but overall Kaju has consistently good taste, good service and short lines. I'm a fan.

Straight up, the best soondooboo I've ever had.

I've tried the other competitors (BCD in multiple locations as well as Kaju in other locations) and this Kaju is clearly the best. They've really struck a chord with their seasoning, proportions, and flavoring. It's truly delicious.

The service is good (you're seated right away, brought over appetizers, promptly asked to order, and then they leave you alone to eat) and the food quality has been consistently amazing.

I love this restaurant.

oh nom Nom Nom!

I was brought here by my trusty Korean Friend  (Who by the way- The cross street is Jeffrey and WALNUT- Not Irvine center- thank you very much!!)

After circling around and somehow by Trader Joes - I finally make my way over to Kaju- AFTER going into the WRONG complex again (Dude!! It is in the complex by the 76 station.. not Yogurtland- BOO!!)

I though I was the one who could get lost in a paper bag- HA!!

Any Hoo - FINALLY made it!! VICTORIOUS!!!!

I do not know any Korean.. except "Hello". :)  I figured my charismatic charm would make up for my lack of communication. :).. eh?.. Yeah?.. Me thinky so too!

Well.. The sweetest lady arrives to take our order.. She turns to me..**something in Korean**.. I stare back (most likey with drool on my chin- HEY! They have some damn yummy looking pictures).. until my friend has to order for me.. I would have also settled to grunt at her and pint to my food. :) :)

I got the Combo of Beef/Kimchi tofu and Ribs!!- the Tofu came in this super cute tiny bowl.. and my friend had the "Man sized" Bowl.

She was sooo quick- out came the Banchan.. our water.. bam! Bowls of Molten Lava- smell was HEAVENLY.

Of course we do the Crack and Egg bit- but I let mine sit and get yolky before I mix.. he was mixing away like a mad man. Eh- Go fig.

The flavor was great! When I asked for mild.. it came out mild.. flavorful but not spicy to the point of booger drip.  The ribs were a smidge "meh" but the place is called Tofu... Can't expect the focus to be anywhere else but the Tofu.

Needless to say (I couldn't because I'm a glutton and started to eat before the Tofu cooled- now my tongue looks like a chunky baby's arm- ew.) I would definitely come back for tofu- I actually finished my bowl- normally leave half.. cuz it is weak and.. blah.

Hip Hip hooray for Kaju!  HTB needs to eat here with me too!

The soon doo boo here is great. The seasoning is extremely flavorful. The combination of large tofu pieces and good amounts of beef (I always order the beef tofu, medium) just hits the spot when you're looking for a warm and satisfying soup. It's perfect for the cold season. I'll only order is spicy hot if I feel up for a challenge and don't mind sweating beads.

You can't go wrong ordering the standard beef tofu or combination/mix tofu. The oyster tofu is good too. The ham and sausage tofu will naturally be saltier tasting. I've tried the intestine tofu also, the taste was interesting/different...not for everyone.

There is always a good variety of banchans served, and I especially like the small whole fish as an appetizer.

Out all the Korean tofu places in Irvine, I think overall, Kaju is the best. Definitely my tofu of choice.

It use to always be packed here, but with the recent Diamond Jamboree opening, it's been less crowded. Which works out great for not having to find parking and waiting.

These guys just lost my business today.  I went there for lunch and they were trying to charge me FULL dinner price for lunch!  Their excuse is that the number on the calendar is marked red and that they don't offer lunch price on holidays!  Btw, today is Columbus day.  Even the banks and the stock market is open.  To make things worse, they do NOT have signs posted anywhere of their business practice.  If you go to this place, make sure you check your receipt.

In terms of food quality, it's not as good as Koba and BCD.  I would recommend my friends to stay away from this place.

Pretty good soondubu. So I was freezing in Irvine, I know what's wrong with me? I am from Norcal I should have a better tolerance than this, but alas UCLA has ruined my ability to bear the cold. So though I love the cold weather, I definitely wanted something warm and soupy so my bf brought me here and it definitely hit the spot. I always wondered why soondubu places serve that little fried fish before the meal, but for whatever reason that they do, the fish here was good, not overcooked and reasonably fresh because it lacked the nasty fishy smell that the fish at BCD had. The ban-chan then comes out with the spicy cucumbers, kim chi, the jello thing in soy sauce, potato salad with apples and the bean sprouts. The ban-chan was really fresh and our table had refills on the jello, cucumbers and the potato salad. The servers were really nice about refilling, because we had a friend who didn't order anything but ate the ban-chan but they still refilled everything and were pretty attentive in refilling our waters as well.

Our entrees came out about 10 minutes after ordering with the rice in the requisite clay? ceramic? stone? pot with the nicely crisped rice on the bottom that they got out with the barley tea. I had the oyster soondubu extra spicy and my bf had the intestine soondubu regular spicy. I would definitely go with the extra spicy, it was really rich tasting with a good amount of spice. The oysters were not over-done and I still had enough for leftovers for the next day. My bfs soondubu wasn't spicy enough for me and the intestines were a bit too soft, but it was still pretty good. Definitely come here for some soondubu, and one is big enough to share, but why would you when you can have leftovers the next day :)

MUST READ!!!

I gave the same star as I did before BUT I have to inform you ALL about something.

It appears that a FRIEND of the restaurant has been going around and attacking people by messaging them directly through the Yelp message.

Alex J.

My friend was called nasty names and that was uncalled for.  Yelp is a place for individual opinion.  If you dont believe in someone's yelp entry, then don't read it.  Or better yet, write one yourself!   You are a loser, Alex J.

Then again, I guess I am more of a loser by trying to call you out this way Haha!

Good food and pretty good service. The soon was tasty and just the right amount of spicy. Medium was really medium and spicy was exactly as spicy as I wanted. The BBQ ribs were good - not the best ever but they satisfied the craving. The only banchan that I ever really want is the spicy cucumber salad, but I felt like there wasn't enough variety with the appetizers. I tried to eat the little fried fish but I got a mouthful of bones. I've been in the ER for a food-related procedure, and I have no desire to get fish bones stuck in my throat - yikes! But obviously that's no reflection of the quality of the terrifying tiny fish. If that's your thing, maybe you'll like it. Chew carefully!

Pretty decent place for soondoobu. If you aren't a fan of BCD especially the Irvine location; this may be just the place to go to. Their tofu has a more subtle smoky flavor for some reason. Maybe its the stone pot? But its a nice pleasant surprise. Haven't really tried their other dishes. Its a little bit pricey for what it is but other than that its "OKAY."

Warning: Ordered the seafood pancake without seafood because the gf was a vegetarian at the time and they still charged me the full price. 17 bucks for batter and veggies? what kind of shisty thievery is this? ahh whatevers though.

The soon dubu here is pretty good.  The broth is actually quite flavorful.  I really liked the soup here because when we ordered "extra extra" spicy, it was actually served very spicy (which is not really true of all soon dubu places.)  I also really liked that in spite of the spice, the flavor of the broth did not get lost.  Better than average panchan (side dishes) but minus one star for so-so service.

I am from Northern Cali and was having a severe Korean craving since the Korean food up here is AWFUL. Found this place randomly before flying out from John Wayne and it really did the job! Had the beef and kimchi soon do bu and kal bi combo. The ribs were better than most soft tofu joints and the soon do bu was good. I wish I had gotten it more spicey (got it medium), but otherwise this place was serviceable and killed my craving. The banchan were pretty good -- although there wasn't any radish kimchee - (my fav :(

I used to go to Kaju a lot during college.  Their banchan always made me happy because I like the cucumbers and nobody else seems to want to serve them.  I hog them all and don't share.

Their dubu is good and I'm glad that they actually know what spicy means.  Their kalbi was always a little overcooked and the bulgogi was nothing to really write home about.  The chapchae was always a little oily for me too. But hey, it's Irvine.  If you don't want to go to L.A. and you're craving Korean, then it'll hit the spot.  Also, I love anyone who will give me a whole squeeze bottle of gochu jang to put on my dolsot bibimbap (which is the best thing they serve by the way).  I'm like a freaking kid.  Squeeze bottles of sauce make me happy :-)

I'm sad to see that there are a lot of not-so-great reviews as of late.  I need to try them again as it's been a while since I've eaten here and maybe they've gone downhill a little.  I'll write an update review sometime within the next year when I can get back.

I decided to give this place another try because I was totally craving tofu soup and I always go to Koba or BCD and really wanted Yogurtland afterwards. The service was good today and I ordered the ham and sausage soup. My man got the same thing. I got mild even though I always order extra spicy because I just got back from a drinking binge in Vegas and wanted to go easy on my stomach. Mild must have meant more salt. It tasted saltier for some reason. Maybe they think they need to add more salt since they're adding less spiciness? I don't know. The fish tastes better at other tofu joints too.

Between the two of us, they gave us one stone pot of rice and they didn't even pour hot water or tea in the pot! Is it because we both happened to just order in English instead of Korean today? Lame. I really wanted to drink it too because Korean people say it's good for you when you're not feeling so well but I needed room for Yogurtland so whatevers. I probably won't come back here.

This place is my fav Korean tofu place.  The soup base in the tofu is really GOOD!  I get the beef tofu and get spicy.  The number of sides they give you is a good amount i always ask for multiple refills.  There is sometimes a line at night for dinner so be ready to wait.  The environment is really chill and comfy, sometimes service isn't too good if they get really busy there's only about two waitresses for the restaurant.

I like this place no matter what anyone says. I think their spicy tofu soup is tasty, and the bulgogi is good too. I like their side dishes. Sometimes I'd eat more side dishes than the actual meal. I like Korean restaurants in general because of the plentiful side dishes. They refil them when you finish them off. The price is reasonable. I usually get the tofy & bulgogi comfo. The service is not bad, but can be slow when busy.

They have some pervy helpers though...those boys that work out back that come out to clean the tables can be kind of pervy....they love to stare at us just because we're girls. LOL

Banchan was just ok; kimchee and cucumber kimchee were a little sweet, similar to Chinese/Korean restaurants that serve cha jang myun. Soon du boo was delious. Kalbi and Bulgogi both had good flavor but the portions were moderate. They also serve rice cooked in its own iron pot which is a nice touch.

Kaju is a reliable soon duboo restaurant. The service was good for a Korean restaurant. We had a Chinese server who was fairly attentive.

I went here last week for lunch. It was my first endeavor into the soft tofu world and, I'll be honest, I really didn't know what to expect.

I'll say I was the only non-asian person but I didn't feel weird. Brownie point there. I had no idea what to get and really didn't have time to look at the menu since the people I was with were very hungry so I kind of took a shot in the dark and got the soft tofu and pork thing. (I really didn't have time to really look over anything and look at what its called so I'm sticking with descriptions. Sorry.) After we ordered our waitress brought out a bunch of side dishes that I had to try. I really don't know what most of the stuff was but most of it was good. The whole, little, fried(?) fish was good, the salad was good, the pickled cucumbers and carrots (?) were good. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the macaroni thing. It was lacking in any distinctive flavor. When my entree came out it was in a big bowl that was still boiling. It continued to boil for a while after I got it.

I will say that soft tofu ir a very different consistency than I'm used to and I don't prefer it, but it was good. At least, what I was able to taste was good. I went to this place on my lunch break, with hungry people and I'm a slow eater. I didn't really get to taste the food so much since by the time it had cooled enough for me to eat it, my group was done and ready to go so i just ate what I could and left. I did get the rest to go and ate it later, but I'm told its just not the same.

I will have to go back to this place when I have time and really get a taste for it.

I love Korean food. And no, it's not cuz I'm Korean. I think I would love Korean even if I were Croatian or South African... but I digress.

My mother, sister, and I almost didn't come here cuz the parking was so bad on a Sunday afternoon. Be prepared to engage in parking wars with old Asian people...

I had the bibimbap, sister had the beef soon tofu, and Omma had the seafood soon tofu. I loved the veriety of banchan that came out, which included fried fish (2). The soon tofu was tasty, but not spicy enough, considering we asked for both to be "spicy". My bibimbap was ok, but they kinda were stingy with the bap (rice)!! WTF?!! Still, it was good. My only gripe is their busser is a gross perv who would not stop staring at me. I mean, he was staring right at me the entire time he was clearing other tables, which he seemed to be doing the entire time we were dining! I mean, I must be DAMN FINE for him to be staring at me like he'd never seen a woman in his life before, right?!!!!!

Effing gross...They need to school their busser on that s**t cuz that was a tad bit uncomfortable, to say the least. So, other than the fact that I felt like I was being undressed with the busser's eyes the entire meal, it was a good meal, nonetheless!

I've been here numerous times with friends and all I can say is that it gets crowded during peak hours and don't expect the service to be that good.  I've come here a couple of times and they actually put in your order while you are waiting to be seated to rotate groups faster.  But it sucks if you change your mind or even worse you decide to eat somewhere else, you're stuck.  However, during off peak hours this place is pretty decent, but for some reason even during dead hours the service still isn't that great? wth.

I've lived in Korea for a few years, and when I entered Kaju, I felt as if I were walking into any restaurant in Seoul; the smells, sounds and sights are identical. My favorite Korean food is soondubu, and my Korean-American friend introduced me to this place. I am indebted to her! :)

I have been to Kaju twice now and each time has been amazing. Each time I've tried vegetable soondubu, and it's just phenomenal. The hostess is very sweet and spoke in halting English with me.

Three things always impress me about this place:
1) The kimchi! It's fresh and tasty, and everyone knows good kimchi is a good indication of the quality of food.
2) The side dishes! So many of them, and a good variety too. I was nearly full by the time my generous bowl of stew arrived at the table.
3) Their "membership card" (ask for it) essentially gives you 10% credit for each meal you buy, which means you can come back after 8 or 9 meals and get that meal for free. Wow! I've never seen that, either in Korea or America.

Also, service is quick and prices are affordable. You could definitely split a bowl of soondubu too, which cuts down on costs. Koreans usually share food, so it's not unusual to do so too.

When you're finished, head over to the frozen yogurt place across the parking lot - a perfect finish!

My family and I have been going to Kaju for many years.  They were good then OK and now good again.  I guess a little soft tofu competition brought out extra flavor.

Besides their good tofu, their service has been always friendly and prompt, which is a rarity in a Korean restaurant.

Our favorite is the Kimchi and mushroom soft tofu and my little kids LOVE the salty fish dishes.

This is probably one of the better places to get soondubu in Irvine.  The banchan here is excellent and their soup has a great flavor!  You can't go wrong w/the kimchi beef!

The only downside is that you may have to flag down a waitress to get some service.  They're not rude, but they're not always readily available.

Kaju looks very authentic, but the price you pay does not positively correlate with the quantity you would expect.

Like other Korean tofu restaurants that I have been to, waitresses/waiters don't usually pay attention to you.  As for the meal, I ordered a tofu combination (medium spicy tofu with dry seaweed with a side chicken dish).  The chicken was moist and delicious.  However, my friend ordered beef bulgogi and it was dry and old-ish.  At least for the beef bulgogi, the quality isn't close to good in comparison to Koba.  The quantity is also less than the other korean tofu houses that I have been to, but the side dishes are pretty good!

WARNING:  Don't come here if you're hankering for some bomb Korean BBQ!

This is the place I go to when I'm craving some sort of Korean rice dish while out in Irvine.  Their panchan always varies but the majority of them are very good.  The restaurant happily refills them if you ask.  We always ask for at least 3 refills on some of them.  I always order the octopus rice in stone pot.  If you like octopus, then you'll like this dish.

A majority of my visits have been very good.  I decided to take my friends the last time I went.  They ordered bulgogi and soondubu.  When the waitress brought out the bulgogi, it looked like it had been sitting out in the kitchen for hours.  Not only was it not sizzling on the pan (like it usually is when it's served), but the portions were lacking.  They cracked the egg right when the soondubu was served.  Apparently, the pot wasn't hot enough so it never cooked!  Not only were my two friends disappointed, they were still hungry.  They ended up ordering a beef rice in stone pot since they saw how happy I was with my meal.

It's safe to say that my two friends will never go back to this place.

I love soon-doo-boo or Tofu soup.  There are several places that serve tofu but few that are actually this good.  There's a good place in Cerritos and a decent place near our home in Fullerton but I have to say Kaju tops them all.  Some logical reasons why are listed below.

1. Tofu is excellently flavored
2. Very full flavored broth
3. Way above average and large chunks of meat, seafood, etc.
4. Great banchan and lots of it (side dishes, 6 dishes + grilled fish)
5. Price.  $8.99...NOT BAD!

This place gets a huge thumbs up from me.

This place is either super busy or super dead.

I was reading some of the reviews and I'm not sure why someone said there wasn't any msg.  Are you kidding?  I get thirty for a day and a half after I eat at this place because of all the msg packed into it.  Let's face it, without MSG, there wouldn't be taste in just eating tofu.

Service is really bad.  They give you these crap cups that holds two drops of water and they are really slow at refilling the water... even when it's dead.

The noodle and rice dishes in the hot plate is disgustingly oily and they put spouts in every dish they serve.  I used to love sprouts.  They ruined it with their MSG seasoning.

I usually get the mixed normal (in terms of spiciness) soon doo boo (soft tofu soup) and it's pretty good. The side dishes are the usual ones, and the service is pretty courteous and friendly, especially compared to the type of service from most other Korean restaurants. The best thing about this place is the individual fish they give.

I've been to a ton of tofu houses, and this one didn't stand out too much to me- good or bad. Regardless, it's good, it's close, and I'd recommend it to a friend.

My favorite soft tofu place in Irvine.  When I'm super hungry, I get the seafood soon doo boo combo with the spicy pork or kalbi.  They are both really tasty.

They give lots of banchan, their food has no MSG, and the soondooboo comes out hot and steaming.

The waitresses can get busy, and forget you.  But they haven't been rude.  The wait can get really busy sometimes though.

We came here tonight because we were en route to Shik Do Rak but the line was literally out the door. I was hungry so that's not going to work out. Incidentally, after we finished dinner here at Kaju, there were still tons of people waiting at Shik Do Rak. Darnit.

Anyway, our favorit-est place is Kaya on Walnut and Culver, by Super Irvine. That said, Kaju isn't half bad. They serve less banchan than Kaya but I think I can live with that. They serve the little fried corvina fish, some kind of omelette/fish cake thing, bean sprouts, japchae, green leaf lettuce salad, arrowroot jelly, kimchee, cucumber kimchee (actually, some of the best cukes we've had), and cold kimchee soup.

The rice is sized for two and comes in a giant stone bowl. The nice thing is that they don't pour tea/water into the pot so I finally got to enjoy the crunchy bits at the bottom. Yay! I think I got more rice than if we have two separate pots.

My boyfriend has the bulgogi and he was sad that it wasn't sizzling when it arrived. I think it could've cook a little more because it was a little on the greasier side.

I had the clam soft tofu soup which was way spicier than Kaya's medium. The tofu is broken up into little bits so the soup looks almost creamy. I can't decide whether I like big chunks or little bits more. There were maybe 6 clams in there and I think maybe one or two grains of sand.

Free soft-serve ice-cream at the end and they dispense it into little paper sauce cups for you. Yay for sanitation!

Service at Kaya is a little more attentive, or rather, the servers at Kaya are much easier to flag down. That said, they were friendly and efficient, even down to getting us more water. When I finally flagged down a server for banchan refills, she literally brought it five seconds later. Wow! They made us switch tables after we sat down for 5 minutes, but that's because a party of 8 came in and they needed to combine tables. We were okay with that. They didn't want us to leave without getting ice-cream, which made me laugh.

Overall, I think we would consider coming back here but that's only if we didn't make it to Kaya. Kaya's still our no. 1 pick!

I haven't been to a lot of soondubu (Korean tofu) places, but I am faithful to this one. I love all the Banchan (side dishes), but usually I skip out on the fried fish.  :oP

I have to agree with the other Yelpers in that you should order everything that you want from the waitresses at one time. Service is declining a bit where the I noticed:

1) the waitresses don't seem to return back to your table after they have taken your order
2) they have stopped scooping rice from the super hot clay pot to your bowl. They used to do this I think to prevent you from burning yourself, but I don't think they have any regard now.
3) they kind of roll their eyes when you ask for more banchan (what? I'm hungry and I'm entitled to it, dammit!

I think the most awkward time was when they played a fobby version of Happy Birthday over the restaurant speakers and the waitresses sang to one and brought out a huge bday cake. I'm all for celebrations, but during work hours while customers are still eating? Come on!

Regardless, I love the soondubu here. I choose the kim chi beef, medium spicy. If you like to try a variety of things, go for the combos- my fav is kim chi beef soondubu and bulgogi (Korean beef stir-fry). The soondubu is a smaller portion, but with both dishes, you are as equally full.

You may want to skip out on the free frozen yogurt they have here. It's a valiant attempt, but it's kinda icy and tasteless- kinda like Yogurtland (oops, did I write that ? ;o) )

Hands down, Kaju Soft Tofu is the BEST Korean soft tofu restaurant in Irvine.

I go here at least once a week and the owner and servers know me. Hence, the service is even better. Me likes.

I was craving some extra spicy kimchee soft tofu + beef (the best flavor btw) for a few days and I was sooooo happy when I went to go get my craving satisfied at Kaju soft tofu.

All of the side dishes they served were delicious, (love the Yellow Mackeral and kimchee), and the taste of the tofu soup is consistent each and every time.

I went here yesterday but it was so good, I'm probably going to get some more this weekend. YUMMM!

Waitress minimized our waiting time by taking our order while we were outside in line.

This is a great place to come if you want to get full for $10 - $12.

I could barely finish my soup but ate as much as i could.

So good!!!

The taste is similar to kaya tofu grill (just missing the decor / west hollywood feel).

It has come to my conclusion that Kaju Soft Tofu it possibly one of the finest and appetizing meals you can get for a lunch. Why? They do have a fine collection of some of the most compassionate and tenderhearted waitresses. Everytime I come here my order is never forgotten and they also know my favorite sidedish too.

The Sidedishes are very tasty and I love spicy cumbers the most. Like they're purpose, they are not the whole meal but they make your meal whole. My personal favorite actually is the Ham and Sausage Tofu. I never ever get sick of this dish and it always has a great exploding taste to my buds.

All in all, I would definitely recommend Kaju to almost anybody out there ready to tackle some of the most delectable tofu in the city.

So I'm no expert when it comes to Korean food, but this is my favorite spot in Irvine.  Until recently, I would just eat bulgogi or short ribs whenever I'd go to a Korean place.  This past summer, I went over to a friend's place and his roomie made me a homemade kimchi pork tofu dish which really started my love for Korean food.

My roomie has a huge love for Korean soft tofu & first brought me to this spot about a month ago.  As soon as we were served the side dishes I knew I was going to love this place.  This also excited my roomie because now he knew I would be down to go here whenever he had a craving - we live a little over a mile away from this place.

I took one of my girlfriends who was visiting from the valley here last night and she really enjoyed it.  She just ordered the beef bowl but was happy that the clay bowl kept it hot the whole time.  She was also amazed with all the sides that come automatically.

So whenever I have a craving for Korean food, I usually think to go to this place because it's so convenient for me.  But I know if I want really good Korean food I have to go outside of Irvine, haha.

I just needed some Korean food injection for lunch.
nothing so spectacular about this place.

I don't get it.
When I look at reviews of BCD, everyone hates BCD and says that Kaju Tofu is great. When I went to this Kaju Tofu, I really didn't see much of a difference and definitely anything superior to BCD. May be Kaju Tofu in Garden Grove is different.

I got a bibimbob combo. I really wanted some veggies and tofu at the same time. Bibimbob was decent. nothng spectacular but decent. I wasn't so happy with their tofu, tho. When you get a soft tofu, you want to see large chunks, not broken up little itty bity pieces. Unfortunately, mine was all broken up.

I guess I can't make a judgement on which tofu place is better, BCD or Kaju, until I try Kaju Tofu in GG, but dude, to me they are all the same.

The tofu is tasty here but what sucks is the service. I always feel like I'm inconveniencing the staff if I need a refill on my water. Hello! My mouth is burning! Their sides are pretty good but it's not consistent. They rotate the side dishes and it's always something different each time you come in.
