Yasko is talented and sweet. The plants are creatively arranged and the succulents keep well. The $3.50 mini bouquets are awesome gifts. Best of all, I get to play with her dogs!
Cute little flower shop. I come here almost weekly to pick up a little bouquet for my self. Large arrangements are beautiful but the little miniature bouquets and arrangements are absolute heart stealers. They only run between $3.50 - $5.50. I usually get a bouquet and bring a small glass cut from home - voila~! cubicle face lift!
I love how the owner mixes in Asian (Japanese) influence in her arrangements - simple yet beautiful. I got an arrangement with cherry blossoms - yes, where else can you get cherry blossoms in a beautiful vase?!
Another fortuitous lunch break discovery. The arrangements are beautiful, decidedly simple, and have a faint Asian aesthetic. I can't describe it, but I like it. The arrangements are all very reasonably priced (I have never paid more than $20 for anything in this store.) A great place to pick up last-minute housewarming gifts for friends, get cute little office plants for yourself, or win brownie points with your ladyfriend by getting a lovely bouquet, JUST BECAUSE (ahem). Go here and say hi to the resident puppy-mascot, Scruffy. (But don't mess with her chewtoy or she'll bark at you, as she did to my friend. Haha.)
Although I was sad to see the Little Tokyo Clayworks shop close, I am very happy to announce the arrival of an adorable and oh so zen florist/flower shoppe. The owner's name is Yasko. She has studied for more than ten years, in Japan. Now, she is able to share all her skill and talent with all of us here in the US. Her designs and arrangements are just beautiful. They are simple and somehow just so extraordinary. I love the tranquity and peace that these flowers exude. I don't know about you but beautiful and simple arrangements just help me to relax and calm down, take a minute to separate myself from the harsh realities that we deal with every day and the calmness that is desired from my conscious. Not only is this shop brand new but it also delivers throughout the LA area. Yasko assembles beautiful weekly arrangements and sells a nice variety of green house plants, but very few succulents. They also create beautiful arrangements for weddings, funerals and other special events. Even better, their prices are very reasonable (I think). You have to see some of her large pieces. THey are breathtaking and some are done according to theme. Awesome stuff. Check it out!!
