Best liquor store in Capitola, the best.  It's in a little quaint shopping center and they're the end-cap closest to the road and easy to spot.  

This place is tiny, but they've packed it chock-full of some GREAT stuff ... and ice!  Not sure what you want?  If you're lucky enough to pop in when the owner is there you are set - describe the function, food, occasion, price range and that fellow will not let you down.  You don't know what he needs to look like, just look for a happy go lucky fellow who whistles while he works.  This man loves his job and you benefit!  

I always end up running over here in a last minute mad-dash for some flowers (across the street from Gayles is a SUPERB flower place set up in the parking lot of the little mini-mart) and champagne - lots of friends getting engaged and pregnant and bla, bla, bla - anyway, who doesn't like a bunch of fragrant beauties and a little bubbly every now and again?  

Well, this fellow has set me up with some fine choices; some medium range, some high dollar, but all have been absolutely delightful.  Champagne case is to the right at the rear.

Other than that, the usual mixers, beers, hard liq's, and an array of wines practically burst from the shelves.  There's a pretty solid representation of the tastier local vineyards around here, which is great.
