Purchased a YouSwoop for JW Salon a while ago and completely forgot about it when I moved to Paris earlier this year. Came back to Chicago for the holidays and remembered I still had said YouSwoop stored in my stash of groupons/youswoops/yipit deals file, so decided to put it to use. Called about a week or so in advance to book my appointment and luckily managed to find a slot to go in for a brazilian. They seem to be extremely busy always!
The day of my appointment, I was running a few minutes late because of the unexpected horrible weather, so I called to see if they would be ok with my tardiness. Since they were booked back to back, I was informed that I would only be able to have a modified wax (aka leaving a strip ~roughly 3 fingers in the middle)! Not ideal - ever since I've started doing full brazilian waxes I simply cannot go back to anything less (or rather... anything more?)! Much to my delight, the receptionist kindly offered to reschedule my appointment for the same day at 7:30 pm.
The salon itself is a no-frills sort of place, but cute nonetheless...not very spa-like but doesn't resemble a sterile, medical environment (the way Three Sisters does) either. A short walk from the Damen blue line stop (which is a HUGE plus when it's as cold as it is these days in Chicago!). Back to the salon - cute, smells nice, looks/feels clean. I thought the fact that the walls wouldn't go all the way up to the ceiling (aka the fact that you can hear everyone's conversations in the salon) would be a tad awkward, but since I was the second to last customer I didn't have to deal with that.
Mikasa, my waxer, was amazing. Efficient, thorough, and very meticulous. Whoever says brazilian waxes are "painless" is lying. No such thing. Brazilian waxes will always be somewhat painful.. but hey, no pain no gain right? As far as brazilian waxes go, however, this one was amongst my least painful ones. I didn't even have an aspirin or a glass of wine before, as I usually do, and I was barely wincing/suffering! So I would definitely recommend JW Salon for first-timers. Mikasa also has a great, bubbly personality - she made me feel at ease immediately. I must reiterate that the waxing itself was quick and very thorough. For $20 (price I paid for the YouSwoop), this wax was a steal. I would pay the full price ($60 I think?) for the service in a heartbeat. I cannot say enough good things about JW Salon - I will definitely be back next time I'm in Chicago & need to be waxed... with or without a YouSwoop! -

I've been coming here for about 2 years. I've seen Stephanie grow. I can honestly say that the past three visits with Mikasa have been extraordinary. She's every bit as good as Lara Z says. She is very meticulous. I have my back waxed, and the hair is "swirled" in places so it can be particularly painful. Mikasa takes her time, puts aloe on before, baby powder on each little section she finishes and makes the pain go away very quickly. She takes her time!! Stephanie runs a great shop in general and her prices are not cheap but reasonable.
My one complaint is that the receptionist working today didn't give me the 20% email discount special that was going on. He told me about it AFTER I paid. I told him that I had been coming there for some time, which should have been obvious to him given that Mikasa remembered me immediately upon walking in the door. Why wasn't I emailed? I've been there a bunch of times! It should have been offered. That's not a way to treat your repeats!!! Stephanie (owner), please right this terrible wrong! I'll bump it to 5! -

Just Waxing Salon. Yep. That's all they do. Wax-waxing-waxed out!
I'm a fan of hard wax, which, JWS doesn't offer. But since I got a sweet deal from one of the Groupon thingy, I thought I'd try. Surprisingly, it does not disappoint.
My waxer was Maria. She was friendly, personable and fast! The three things that would help you go through a waxing session. Trust me. She did an excellent and very thorough waxing job. Which is important when you get a brazilian. Or any other kind of waxing, really.
Take your pain killer about an hour before your appointment time. Do not forget. -

I used my YouSwoop coupon here and Mikasa did a fantastic job. It wasn't very painful (tip: stop shaving between appointments) and so far so good. I thank them for getting me in on short notice.
The location is very close to the blue line. I will definitely go back. -

Sadly, I have to knock off a couple of stars for Just Waxing. My beloved aesthetician, Kristy, left a couple of months ago. Out of convenience, I've continued to go to Just Waxing.
Two of my last three visits have resulted in me waiting over twenty minutes each for my appointment. I'm always prompt and don't mind waiting five or ten minutes; I understand sometimes clients' visits run longer than predicted, but anything more than fifteen minutes is just poor time management. I always get an apology but it just starts off my appointment on the wrong foot. My appointments are on Saturdays and I'm always running around like crazy doing errands so it throws off my whole day when I'm forced to wait.
I was also under the impression that gratuities were not able to be added to your credit card but while I was waiting I heard two other people checking out ask if they could add a gratuity and I'm positive I heard that they could. I figured they changed their policy so when I checked out I asked if I could add a gratuity to my card and was told "no" with no zero explanation. Now I'm curious what the deal is --do they or don't they allow tips on credit cards?
JW still does a great job; I only wish that they were more punctual.
Sigh. I miss Kristy.Listed in: I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar, Uki Village/Bucktown/Wicker…, Were it not for Yelp

You may lose money if you purchase a You Swoop or similar type deal for this business. They won't honor it as presented. I had a similar experience to Anne K. and left my last appointment livid.
I've been a loyal customer at Just Waxing for several years. I bought a You Swoop for a Brazilian Wax or $60 Waxing Credit. I was getting my usual full leg wax which was $65 so I figured the $60 credit would be applied, and I would owe a $5 balance. I mentioned the Swoop when booking my appointment because they usually ask. Sounds simple, right? Not so much...
After I'd received the services and went to pay I found out I couldn't use the Swoop. The owner said You Swoop was at fault for leaving it off the customer version of the Swoop. It was specified in their contract. Not my problem. I really question the legality of this all. The owner wouldn't budge on honoring the You Swoop. I even asked if she would just give me a $20 credit for the amount I paid for it. Finally, she agreed to give me 20% off this visit and extend expiration date of the Swoop by 6 weeks.
Just Waxing has just lost me as a loyal customer. Needless to say, I will no longer be recommending it to friends. There are plenty of other comparable place to go in the city for waxing. -

I recently went here for the first time. I had been a regular at Cleise on Wells for about a year but my girl left and while her replacement was good, I was still in the market for a new waxing salon.
This one had recently been on one of those social buying sites. I didn't have a coupon but read the reviews (which I always do before going to an salon or spa) and booked a full-price appointment for a Brazilian.
The salon is bare-bones but clean and well maintained. There aren't rooms in that there aren't walls that go all the way up to the ceiling. It's a sort of lofted spaced with partitioned areas, but it's not a problem.
My therapist had a look at my bikini line and chatted with me about what I wanted. I think there was a slight miscommunication on my part because I said take it all off except here and I clearly mumbled my words because she took it all off (had my eyes closed)! However, I wasn't displeased. The service was about as painful as I found it at Cleise so a little less painful than many places that don't do it properly but about as painful as it will be when done in the right hands. There's no such thing as a pain-less Brazilian (or Hollywood in my case)!
She even went in with the tweezers to clean it up after and I noticed there were no patches she missed, which had been the case at other places recently, particularly on the upper-inner thigh.
There were few, if any broken hairs, and as it grows back in, I am pleased to say there are minimal in-growns.
Overall, good value for money and a generally good and quick service. -

Just went back using my 2nd Swoop on Monday. Had no problem scheduling the appointment a week before. I got there a bit early and Mikasa was free so I ended up getting done earlier than I anticipated, which was nice.

I purchased not one, not two, but THREE "youswoops" for "Brazilian Wax or $60 Waxing Credit" and am ABSOLUTELY LIVID after 2 attempts to use them.
The first time I called, right after purchasing the youswoop, they said they were completely booked and didn't have a single appointment for multiple weeks (clearly they 'oversold' these youswoops).
The second time I called, they said they wouldn't accept my youswoop because the service I requested (full leg at $65) was over $60. The only services that would count towards this would have to be $60 or less - you couldn't pay the balance at the time of the service. I told them that this rule was listed NO WHERE in the fine print. The woman on the phone had no answers for this - just "that's what I was told".
By the way, before helping you schedule an appointment, they want to know if you have a coupon/offer. They SAY it doesn't affect service availability, but it doesn't come off that way, especially since they are 'booked' for ages.
Needless to say, I will continue to call back until there is an actual manager on-duty (or who agrees to get on the phone) am also contacting YouSwoop to complain. If I get no traction, I will also contact the Better Business Bureau.
I would NEVER have purchased 3 of these if they hadn't misrepresented the offer in the fine print. -

I've been in search of a new waxing spot since Lynda left The Waxing Room in Lakeview and I can happily say that I've found my new regular locale!
I made my appointment online the day before. Parking was easy and free out front on North Avenue. Stephanie at the reception desk was extremely kind and friendly. Kristy was my waxer and she did an AWESOME job. I will be back! -

Wow - while I was always an avid threader and used to drive all the way to the burbs to get threaded, I decided I needed someplace local. I have to admit I was extremely nervous the first time I lay down on mikasa's table - will I only have one eyebrow when she's done? Will she make them pencil thin? Will she totally screw up my shape???
Then...relief. Not only did mikasa do a great job, but she fixed the shape of my eyebrows, told me what I needed to grow in and I've been going to her for about 4 months now...every few weeks.
Oh and I have to mention, mikasa is the cutesy, sweetest, most cheerful person I have ever met. You will love her...and your eyebrows! -

Ooooh I do believe I will ditching my razor and coming here from now on.
I booked my first Brazillian EVER here with Mikasa. She was a total doll. She was super-friendly and like everyone here says, does an ace job of keeping you talking so you're not concentrating on the fact that well you're pretty much lying with all cards out and getting hair ripped off your... Well, you get the idea. They set you up on a nice little "bed" type table covered with towels and junk and go to work. It wasn't completely painless (no lie, she had me twitching on that table once or twice) but she was quick and efficient. I saw someone mentioned double-dipping here - I asked beforehand about it, and she assured me they didn't. I kept an eye on those sticks and she was straight up. The receptionist was a sweetie, too; she answered all my questions about before and aftercare and really knew what she was talking about.
Having sensitive skin and being a Brazillian virgin, I expected to have a pretty nasty reaction to this. But to the credit of both the salon and Mikasa, and some careful aftercare, I was redness-free in hours and had no ugly red bumps or anything of the like. Yay!
I would reccomend an appointment - when I came in at noon on a Tuesday the place was dead, but I think they can get pretty busy so I'd book ahead. Free parking out front (another reason to come in the middle of the day) along the street (someone here mentioned a lot but I didn't see one). Aaaaand wine and water in the fridge in the waiting room!
Probably the only con is that the "rooms" you go into for your wax have partitions that go up pretty high but don't reach the ceiling, so you're not sound-proof if you're a yelper (tee hee) or anything. But overall the place is awesome. :] Bring cash for tips! -

Had an appointment with Kristy as a first time waxer. Decided to go for the full brazilian, you gotta go big or go home, right? I was greeted warmly at the front desk (as I was really nervous.) And Kristy was super nice and chill. She kept the conversation going and kept me distracted enough, it really didn't hurt at all and she was hilarious.
I used a groupon for the first time but I'll definitely be going back again in the future! The prices are really reasonable too! -

i get waxed a lot... and have been to many places.
Kristy waxed me, i will say that she's fast and the bikini was almost pain free...and this place is close to my apt. my BIG problem is DOUBLE DIPPING the sticks... c'mon gross and the same pot that you just waxed my lady bits with you hit my lip with. shame on me for not speaking up at the time. please, a new stick dipped in every time.. now i'm left thinking about hundreds of other women's germs on me.
*** the owner called me and statedd that double dipping is not their policy and offered service discounted 50%... but .. i thinki'm gonna just stick to my go to spa. -

I was on the look out for a new waxing spot when I saw the Youswoop deal. 20 bucks for a Brazilian and I was there. I called for an appt and got one the following week. My waxers name was Maria and she was AMAZING!!!! I've been getting Brazilians done for about 8 years now and I used to get nervous and sweaty right before the appt but never again. It was completely painless. I felt like I was out with my girlfriend to catch up and chat minus my pants and underwear...umm and hot wax...haha I will definitely be coming back...

I had a YouSwoop deal for a $20 Brazilian, so I gave it a shot. The girl did a flawless job-- as painless as having your pubes ripped off your dirty bits can possibly be. She did the shape perfectly, and left me feeling baby smooth. The down side: without the coupon, a Brazilian would be $60 as opposed to the $45 I pay at the Waxing Room in Lakeview. Looks like I can't afford to go back....

This review is for DAWN - not for the salon overall. I actually love JW when I get to see Stephanie.
Do NOT get a Brazilian wax from Dawn!! WORST waxing experience I've ever had! I can't believe I forked over $60 for what I just had done. It was the most painful wax I've ever had and I felt she was unpleasant and unprofessional.
So, let me start explaining. I've been to JW a number of times since I started getting my hoo-ha waxed about a year ago. I've had Stephanie who is definitely my favorite, Sammi - also very good, and another girl whose name I unfortunately can't recall, but who I also had a pleasant experience with.
I booked today's appointment with little notice so couldn't get Stephanie (apparently she isn't in on Mondays), but wanted to have my Brazilian anyway since I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow. Enter, Dawn.
Where do I even begin . . .
Strike one:
She introduces herself and states my name as she greets me. Literally two minutes later, as she's leaving the waxing room so I can undress, she calls me by the wrong name. She continues to call me by the wrong name for the duration of my visit.
Strike two:
She asks me if I'm 'overgrown' or 'where I should be'. If I were a first-timer, how should I know where I'm 'supposed to be'? Why does it matter? AND, if I thought I was 'where I should be', would I be coming in for a wax job?
Strike three:
After taking a look at what she's working with, she begins making comments about how long my pubes are (while giggling about it) and how she's gonna have to cut them down in order to be able to wax them. Ok lady; it's not like I have the Great Plains between my legs. I have pubic hair that's been growing out for six weeks since my previous wax. Fucking wax it. She takes a pair of scissors dangerously close to my lady bits and starts cutting away.
Strike four:
She starts the wax. I noticed right from the get-go that she isn't using enough wax on the sticks. Instead of a smooth, gooey application, I'm feeling my skin and hair being pulled and tugged at. I'm in pain before she's even started ripping my hair out by the root.
Strike five:
She's got gloves on (which is GREAT, I love hygiene!) but she keeps getting the wax all over them. So, as she's pulling at my skin to keep it taut, her gloves are sticking to the already waxed areas and it hurts like effing HELL when she pulls her hands away.
Strike six:
Mid-way through the wax, she pauses and starts examining my face. She asks me why my skin 'looks like that'. Apparently my cheeks were a little bit red. She says that I must be doing something to irritate my skin because it shouldn't look like that. It doesn't look 'happy'. Excuse me, madame, but aren't you ripping my pubic hairs out by the root in a very painful poorly executed way? Wouldn't you be a little bit flushed??
Strike seven:
She reapplies wax to several already-waxed areas to pick up stray hairs, which is incredibly painful. AND she saved what I consider to be the most painful area (the very center where a landing strip would be) for LAST. She even said it herself, that 'this is gonna be the most painful part.'
Strike eight:
After finishing her torture session, she starts slapping (literally SLAPPING) oils and other mystery liquids onto my abused nether-region.
Strike nine:
I sit up to get dressed and notice that all of the little pubic hairs she'd trimmed off in the beginning were sprinkled all over the tops of my thighs and on my lower abdomen. She didn't even bother to clean them off.
Strike ten:
I still had a TON of hair left all along the innermost area.
I am NEVER going back to Dawn again. Fortunately, I have had great experiences here before with the other girls I'd mentioned. I will from now on make sure to only see Stephanie, who is very efficient and thorough, and who doesn't make me want to cry after being worked on. -

First, let me say that I would give them 4.5 stars if I could.
I've had a few Brazillian waxes before, and this one was definitely better than average. My girl was chatty, which helped, but she also had a very good style. I won't say it didn't hurt...I don't think a painless Brazillian exists, but she hurt WAY less than some I've had before.
My only small complaint was that she missed a few hairs, particularly on my sides, which I really needed clean for an upcoming lake weekend. There were just a few missed ones, and I could easily tweeze them myself at home. But I know some I've had done in the past would go over the area with tweezers themselves to make sure everything was smooth.
I was also able to get a same-day appointment, which was great. They are very responsive by email (in case you're like me and want to spare the person in the cube next to you at work from hearing all the details).
Overall, it was a great experience (or as great as a Brazillian can go!), and I would definitely recommend. -

TALENTED WAXERS, INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT AND RECEPTION
I went to Kristy for one year and she never disappointed. She was hilarious and did a thorough job of waxing, whether it was brow, face, legs, or Brazilian. I should also note that when their male receptionist worked here, there were never any problems booking appointments.
I am giving this place one star based on the reception and management. There is another client who has my same first and last name, so I always use my middle initial. I do this because one of my appointments was once given away based on reception's inability to keep things straight. I arrived for an appointment only to find that another woman was given my spot with Kristy.
After the Youswoop was available, it has been very difficult to get an appointment. One Thursday, I called and made an appointment on the phone with the receptionist naming my services and that I want them with Kristy. There was no back and forth voicemail phone tag whatsoever. The following Wednesday, the receptionist left a rude voicemail on my phone saying that since I had not returned their multiple phone calls she was going to cancel my appointment. Keep in mind, this was the first phone call I had received from them. Imagine my surprise! I called back and told the receptionist that I had received no messages and that I had confirmed my appointment with her one week ago. There was no apology for the rude voicemail, no customer service smoothing things over at all. SHE CONFIRMED MY APPOINTMENT WITH KRISTY THE FOLLOWING DAY AT 6:30.
The next day, I arrive at 6:20 and the receptionist says that my appointment was actually at 6pm!!! After speaking to her the day before, I was flabbergasted. It had literally been less 24 hours since I confirmed the time. To make matters worse, she decided to inform me then and there that Kristy no longer works there and hasn't for a month. I inquired as to why that was not mentioned during the two phone conversations we had in the past week. At that point, a manager came out and said that all of Kristy's clients had been called and informed that she was leaving. I told her that I was never informed. The manager went on a spiel about how all of Kristy's clients were informed and did not seem to believe me that I didn't ever get a call. I also told her about the rude voicemail and suggested that reception had been calling the other woman with my name. Once again, she assumed no culpability and offered no apology. She did not appear to believe me that I had not been receiving their phone calls and she was very rude.
If you want to deal with disagreeable management and incompetent receptionists who don't know the meaning of customer service, then by all means...TRY to make an appointment. Maybe they'll even get it right!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Sometimes, I like to pretend that I'm not that particular about my eyebrows. Sometimes, I even convince myself that they're just eyebrows, and it doesn't matter where I go.
When I get in that mode, and decide that I don't want to take the trip all the way down to Wicker Park just to get my eyebrows done, I am often disappointed in the results I get.
After a brief hiatus, I made a return to Just Waxing, and all I have to say is this:
Thank you, Kristy, for giving me the perfect, movie star-caliber eyebrows I have long searched for and so rarely been able to find. I feel (and dare I say, look?) like a million bucks.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I was very sad to hear Kristy left the salon but tonight I was in need of a wax and MIKASA was able to take me last minute. She was PHENOMENAL! She was so professional and made a brazilian feel totally painless. She also made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. She is the cutest and most cheerful person I have ever met. I was blessed with light eyebrow hair. This means I can usually get by via plucking here and there. But occasionally, I will see myself in a bright mirror and see all of the blondies hiding out above my eyes. Thanks to the mega-mirror at a recent hotel stay, I decided it was time to clean things up a bit.
Just Waxing came highly recommended, and despite it being more than I like to pay when I do opt for the hot treatment, I was willing to splurge. I made an appointment very easily over the phone (bonus points for Sunday hours, by the way) and was all set to go.
Of course, paying more than your little nail shop to get your brows done warrants higher class environment. Beverages, including wine (although I suspect that is aimed toward the ladies who are going Brazillian) are offered and there is a TV playing movies. The receptionist was quite possibly one of the sweetest gals around and greeted me by name when I walked through the door. Bravo. This place gets the importance of a friendly face when you walk through the door.
A mere three minutes or so after I got there, Stephanie took me back to the room. She was very friendly and made conversation to distract from the waxation taking place on my face. Five minutes or so, I was done, looking cleaned up and wide-eyed. Lovely. $18 for first-timers. Again, more than I like to spend, but when you don't get it done very often and see the nice results, it's worth it.
I definitely will be back when in the mood to splurge on my once-in-awhile eyebrow wax. -

If Andrea R likes a beauty place, I do not hesitate in booking an appointment.
Of the two of us...I'm most definitely the more...errr...adventurous (she says RISKY) one when it comes to hacking, coloring, or waxing my hair. It all grows back! But, ok...seriously, if someone puts hot wax on my face (or anywhere else) I guess a good old fashioned personal recommendation is golden. Thanks Andrea!
Special right now: $15 brow wax...I think they are usually $20, which I find a little steep since my eyebrows are yards short of "Amazonian" and generally just require a quick clean up, few strips o' wax, and bada bing bada boom...I'm out and primped.
Sammi is the sweetest, cutest, blondest, most freckly-faced waxing artist ever, and she is GOOD. I actually fell asleep getting my brows done, that's how UN-painful it was. Bonus: the room is well lit (duh), meaning they don't put that huge ass spotlight in your face, which makes my eyes burn and creates migraine-esque symptoms for me....score one for Just Waxing, this works.
Very nice staff, clean, comfy, easy to make an appointment (I did so online, yay!), and I'd definitely pop back in for some touch-ups if I was in the Wicker Park 'hood.
Plus, it's near Sutlan's. Hair removal + Med food. Stellar afternoon.

Review from Andrea R.
After 6 months in the capable hands of Miss Stephanie, I can't imagine going anywhere else for my waxing needs!
After the first time of a bit too thin eyebrows I told her I prefer them a bit fuller....and she's granted my wish each time. I even started bringing my husband with me. He's got enough eyebrows to put a full head of hair on Bruce Willis's head and Stephanie has done a nice job of grooming them as well. He's even pickier than I am when it comes to his eyebrows, but he's a big fan.
And yesterday I really put my trust in Stephanie's waxing skills...with a bikini wax. I'm the biggest wuss EVER, but it was surprisingly painless. Stephanie also puts you at ease with interesting conversation, which makes it easier to forget about your waxing troubles.
Everyone else who works here is so sweet as well...and they make an effort to make you feel special the second you walk in the door! They always seem to have some sort of special running (they usually post them on Yelp too) so it's pretty reasonable.Listed in: Grooming and Pampering in…

I had an appointment with Kristy, and it was fabulous- first time waxer :)
The receptionist and esthetician were very friendly and my waxing was almost pain free (bikini wax)!
One minor complaint: I did not know that I needed to grow out my leg hair longer, so I could not get my lower legs waxed. I wish whoever scheduled my appointment on the phone would of told me that I needed to wait 4 weeks, especially since I told him this would be my first time waxing.
I will definitely be back! -

I was a first time bikini waxer, and had a serious aversion to people looking at the stuff around my junk that I want gone. The reason why I want it gone is because I am embarrassed by it, right?
Kristy is totally AWESOME. I am not going to go on about the details, but I am just going to say that I am a believer. I was comfortable, and I will be sticking to my monthly hair removal session. I cannot believe I waited 32 years to do this. -

Came here and got my brows done with Kristy. It was my first time seeing her, so I was nervous that she was going to rip out my brows or make them uneven or something (eyebrow sin).
The front desk staff is friendly and accommodating, and I was seen right away. Kristy did a great job on my brows (and I have a serious eyebrow SITUATION). She followed the shape that I already had and waxed and trimmed very nicely.
Bonus! it only cost $15! I am used to paying $20, so I am super excited about this. I will be back here in 2 weeks for sure. -

Kristy is amazing!
I took my Mom (read: extremely picky lady) to get her eyebrows waxed in Chicago. My Mom had alot of demands with her eyebrows (not too much taken off, waxed then plucked, etc etc) and Kristy met every one of them with a smile. She was great and listened to what her clients wanted. She was a breath of fresh air!
Just Waxing Salon has plenty of free parking (score!) and seems like a really nice, laid back salon. It looks like all they do is waxing, and it was really easy to get an appointment.
My Mom and I will definitely be back to Just Waxing Salon! -

Mikasa did the dirty job of waxing my brows. And I must say, I hardly felt any pain. That's always a good thing!
And the receptionist was very talkative and friendly. -

Even though I've since moved out of Chicago, I had to return to Yelp and give Stephanie some serious props for an amazing Brazilian. At the time it hurt, but it seemed like she was doing a good job. But no, she didn't *just* do a good job. She performed some kind of freaking miracle. It's been about 2 months since my wax and most of the hair still hasn't grown back!!! And no ingrown hairs this time (ingrowns were a huge problem when I went to Daniela's - and the hair grew back twice as fast).
I'm in awe. I'm tempted to visit my Chicago friends just so I can get another wax from Stephanie.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Pros:
Convenient location
Easy street parking -- and free!
Friendly staff
Great prices
Cons:
Awkward setting... not real walls for the rooms, environment tries to feel higher end than it is
Don't feel as pampered or relaxed as I have felt at other locations
DOUBLE DIPPING -- so I thought I noticed this originally, and I went back out of convenience and price, and this time I paid more attention and they definitely double dipped throughout the entire process.
Now that I've noticed that practice, I will be going elsehwere. I saw a review where they were contacted by the owner who said it wasn't standard, but someone is definitely doing it there on a repeated basis. At other places when I've been done there's a huge pile used of sticks, here were there only a couple. And I think because people are laying down for a lot of their services maybe they don't see this happening?? But since I wasn't for part of mine, it was easily noticable.
