i've been to Juns quite a few times for threading and she is awesome at what she does. the only downer is the wait. even though I've had an appointment every single time (its the only way you can get in) with Jun. I still end up waiting 10-20 minutes for Jun to finish with her previous client. So I guess, if you live life in a hurry, Jun wouldn't exactly be the place to go.
But she's extremely patient and will seriously spend 30 minutes making sure she did your brows evenly. she will sit you up and lay you back down until she and you both are satisfied with the way your brows are shaped. she's also very gentle, trying to cause you as little pain as possible. she's so friendly, always chit-chatting (even tho at times, it's hard to understand her through the accent)
the cost of brows at juns is a LITTLE bit more expensive than others i've tried & seen. but it is DEFINITELY worth it since she pampers over you so much.
The last two times I've been here have been below par. The time before last, I left the salon with uneven sides. I'd asked Lee to cut off some of the front because it was too long (a-line) but he said that he prefers it like that...I ended up cutting it myself at home.
This last time, I'd asked for a trim and layers. He recommended "no short layers" but the outcome was high layers and the trim left my hair really uneven, high layers with not much layers in between. So, then I asked Lee if he could just make the back shorter, more of an a-line look since the layers were so high and he got kind of upset and just snipped away but the outcome was a total mess. My sides were uneven and my layers were choppy.
Bad haircut once, shame on you...bad haircut twice, shame on me. But I waited to write this review because they're really nice and they remember me every time I come but I cannot have a third bad haircut so I'm currently looking for a new salon.

I found Jun through Yelp because I was looking for a place to get my eyebrows done. I have super thick, unruly eyebrows that were kind of lopsided. I made an appointment. That took a while because she was completely booked for all the days/times that I was available.
I mentioned to my mom that I was going to get my eyebrows threaded and the day of my appointment, she tells me she had a dream about my eyebrows. She dreamed that I had gone to my appointment and came back with two sets of eyebrows (my regular eyebrows and another set on top of it) because they didn't know what to do with my terrible eyebrows and felt that getting rid of a strip of hair in the middle (horizontally!) would be the best bet. Seriously mom, two sets of eyebrows is better than the crazy unruly brows I had?
Anyway, when I got there, I had to wait about 10 minutes because she was working on someone else. Jun is super nice and asked how I want my eyebrows. We both decided fuller brows worked better for me and not too high arches. She really is a perfectionist because she kept having me check out her work every other minute or so.
I'm really happy with her work on my eyebrows. They're even now!!! Of course, the first thing my mom said when she saw them was that they could be thinner. At least I didn't have two sets of eyebrows like her dream!
I went here yesterday and found it through yelp. It's near my new apartment and got good reviews. I'm kind of picky at where I get my hair done sine my mother is a hair dresser.
I have been growing my hair out for almost a year with no major hair cuts, just a few trims. It was starting to get out of control and messy so something had to be done.
I was open to suggestions for what to do and Lee was very friendly and made some suggestions. The hair cut took quite a long time as mentioned here almost an hour, but it is very apparent that Lee is a perfectionist and an artist at his craft.
To be honest I was not very thrilled at first with the hair I ended up with, but I think it had a lot to do with the way I look with the hair bib on. It wasn't until I went home and looked myself in my own mirror where I started to get used to the new look. Then later on when I went out and was dressed up a little more I really was happy with the new style.
I highly recommend this place. The people are down to earth, the prices are more than reasonable, and most important the style is top notch! I will be back for sure.
I found Jun's through Yelp and decided I would try threading my eyebrows since it's supposedly more sanitary. I didn't have an appointment but because I got there around 10am, they kindly took me in right away. She is a perfectionist and very sweet. She took her time and even had me check her work. I did notice that one eyebrow before seemed a little lower (but maybe that's because I'm always raising my left one?) and she told me to grow it out and she'll thread it so they're perfect. I don't think threading is as clean of a look compared to waxing but I do like that it's more natural.
I made an appointment for a 1.5 hour facial as well and that was fantastic! 60 bucks=hundreds of big black heads removed from my nose. I waited to write this review just to make sure I didn't have any breakouts or side effects from her products. I liked it so much I made another facial + threading appt for December.
Another great yelp find!
Lee: 'FRIZZY. You hair is FRIZZY. Not kind of frizzy, but frizzy.'
Unfortunately, this is a pretty honest statement. Not blessed with that stick straight Asian hair that looks perfect in any level of humidity, my hair expands to about 3 times it's size when it air dries into a semi-crinkle.
Lee knew just what to do with my kind of hair. He really took the time to assess my hair and figure out the best cut for me. He noticed that I had a straight perm in the past and that my hair was of two different textures. He also knew that because my locks have a tendency to be frizzy, he couldn't cut the layers too short. Too often I've left salons (Asian or not) with a quasi-mushroom-mullet, and Lee made sure that this wasn't the case. I left with a cute layered haircut and bangs that wasn't too thinned out on the bottom.
I did have one skeptical moment when I thought he cut my bangs too short, and I definitely called him out on it. However, after washing and blowdrying on my own, I noticed that he had given me one of the best sideways bang trims I had had in a while.
If you want a great deal and some fatherly advice about hair and life, I'd recommend paying Lee a visit.
EDITED: I went back the next day and while there was no hair left for the stylist to cut, he and his wife kindly gave me a free color to rectify the situation. They are the nicest people.
ORIGINAL: The main hairstylist butchered my hair. If you want pictures, I will send them. I asked for a 1" inch cut and he cuts off 8"/6"/4" around my head or what he calls "INSIDE." There is no evenness whatsoever. It is not even considered layering. Just imagine 2" bangs, but on the side of your head. I guess I got what I paid for.
I just found out that Lee is one of the best if not the best hair stylist in the city! And trust me I have been everywhere from upscale salon to 15 dollars hair cut.
-Yes, I am that girl who need ASAP help with a bad haircut (from somewhere else) and Lee fixed it nicely!
-Yes, Lee is the true artist that really takes his time to figure out and provide the hair style that will look best and suits your personality
-And.. yes, he is the only stylist who will listen till the end and pay attention on what client really want and yes!! I got what I wanted!!
Price also very reasonable and the place is prompt and clean.
The downsides are parking can be really tough and they only accept cash.

Went here again for Jun to thread my eyebrows today. I just have to say she is just AMAZING! She told me how she would thread my eyebrows and she would show me after she does it. She kept saying to me "I want to get rid of more hair." I told her go ahead and that I trusted her. She is a perfectionist and I LOVE it! She told me to put green tea on my eyebrows cuz she thought I couldn't grow any on the top part of my eyebrows. I had to admit to her that I plucked it. She told me that I need to let certain parts of my eyebrows grow out cuz it's very important to have these areas with hair. Ok....I'll try.
I have a huge new zit and she said "oh you have new pimple." *sigh* Yes, I do. I hate my skin! She told me to drink lots of water....which I do. And to eat lots of watermelon. Not very fond of it but I'll start eating it. Why couldn't it be eat more cantaloupes? That I can eat lots of. Hahaha!

I went into Jun's for brows and a bang trim.
The man (Lee?) did my bangs and they turned out ok..eventually.
I would say "I'd like them straight across" and he would round them to frame my face, again I'd say "straight across please" then he would cut them slightly less rounded..
This went on back and forth at least 4 times.
So I would definitely not go back for a bang trim, which by the way took..AN HOUR!
But I will definitely be going back to have Jun do my eyebrows!!
They turned out amazing and she's very nice!
I had no idea she would be threading them, I had actually never even heard of it before. Threading it turns out was the perfect solution to my very sensitive skin! Usually when I get my eyebrows done the skin will stay red up to 2 days and often breakout after.
This time NO irritation, NO breakouts!
The technique takes a bit longer than waxing but it's worth the precision and lack of irritation to your skin!
I strayed from Jun briefly this year and began going to Benefit Brow Lounge. Mostly due to convenience - since Benefit was so close to the office.
But I'm back. Jun understands eyebrows better than anyone. Benefit does an amazing job - but they're no Jun.
With precision and care - Jun will arch your brows to perfection.

My first appointment with Lee turned out pretty good. He cut my hair and did highlights and i liked it...but my second appointment for cut & highlight didnt turn out to be as good as my first experience. The cut was not what I wanted...I didnt want to make a big scene and get mad because there is nothing he can do to make my hair go back to its original length before the appointment. So, i think that I will look for another place to get my hair done...
Lee is amazing. Have been going to him for close to 6 months now, and would never consider going anywhere else.
Very high quality haircut at an unbelievable price. He is a perfectionist, and it's always fun chatting with him while he does his work.
I came here just yesterday to get my eyebrows threaded and let me say .. Jun did a fabulous job ! She went above and beyond . She consulted me and asked what I wanted . She actually listened to what I said and gave me opinion which was really nice of her . She sat me up from time to time to make sure it was what I wanted and to let me check up on my brows . She spent a lot of time to make my uneven brows even and told me where my brows needed to fill in . As for the threading , it barely even hurt . Very helpful , painless , and attentive eyebrow threading ... will definitely be back ! =) Oh , btw ... be sure to book an appointment because her books get full easily .
No one else has made my brows look so symmetric! When I arrived for my appointment, my left brow was severely lacking an arch. It was straight - not cute. And Jun wasn't afraid to tell me so.
She gave me the hand-held mirror and told me to point out what I wanted done as she looked over my shoulder. She would thread a little bit off at a time, and then have me look it over again and again before she went any further. Phew! I like my brows on the fuller side, so this quelled any fears I had about her making them pencil-thin while I wasn't looking.
If I wasn't moving to NYC next month, I'd definitely make her my go-to brow threader.
I just got done with my first threading appointment ever. And I loved it!! Jun was really nice and offered advice on what she thought was best for making my eyebrows GORGEOUS! She threaded and threaded until she saw perfection! She said green tea will help my eyebrow hair grow faster. It didn't hurt much, but once she got close to the inner eyebrow hairs it hurt, but not really bad. a must go!
and i love how this is a family business! She has her kids in the salon! It's really cute!!
RECOMMENDED: BRING CASH! They don't take check anymore because I guess in the past people gave them bad checks!!

No where else can I call and make an appointment for the same day. Jun and Lee are so accommodating. Usually they can squeeze me in the same day or within 2 hours. I have Asian hair which is apparently very difficult to cut unless you're Lee and comfortable with it. I was referred her by one of my friends and now Jun is where I go every 2-3 months. I get compliments after every hair cut. I strongly recommend bringing a picture or having an idea of what you want. You can tell Jun, and he'll look at your face shape and how your hair falls and tell you if the hair cut will work for you and you know what? He's usually right. The first time I went to Jun was to correct a hair cut I got on Clement and he did an awesome job. Jun is a perfectionist and doesn't let a strand go astray.
Now I've referred all my friends here because it's relatively inexpensive and they don't pressure you to buy their products. I've been in San Francisco for 4 years and haven't found a hair stylist that I go back time after time until Jun. He's great! Go there!
I have been going to Jun for the past year to do my eyebrows. I always leave happy and satisfied. Even when I was satisfied, she looked it at some more and fixed it to perfection. She is a perfectionist. I love her! It only cost $15 for threading. I heard that Li delivers some awesome haircuts. I will give him a try next time when my hair grows too long. It's $35 for haircut. When I get a chance, I will also book a facial with Jun. I'll give it a try too. They both look great for their age, and I am sure that they give great facials!
Jun & Lee are great! i got my haircut from Lee along time ago but never had a chance to write a review. Lee saved my hair! i had a very horrible hair cut from someone else & Lee told me to calm down & relax & he will save my hair. & he sure did the job! i will always come to him for a hair cut! & for Jun, she is AWESOME on threading eyebrows! she saved my eyebrows! my eyebrow was so messed up. one was arched & one was not arched. & she fixed that! they are great together & a very nice family!
Lee and his wife run a neat little salon in the Inner Sunset. He stays on top of the latest hair trends and is a true master at his work. He pays strict attention to detail and quality, keeps his appointments, is extraordinarily personable, and makes satisfaction his top priority. Let me put it this way: if Lee were my resume, I would be hired instantly.
Made my appointment for eyebrow threading last week. I got the exact time and date that I wanted, which is pretty rare...I think...they're always always always busy.
I think I came in around 12:10 for my 12:30 appointment. Since the 12:00 client didn't arrive, she took me and told me that if they come, they'll work on them first. Whoever was suppose to come at 12:00 never arrived. I guess I got lucky.
She read my mind for how I wanted my eyebrows to be like. I didn't say anything. She looked, made suggestions, & frequently let me look at my eyebrows in the mirror. I just let her have her way with me, I trusted her completely. Threading was painful (I can't tolerate pain) and I teared up a bit. I guess it's true, IT HURTS TO BE BEAUTIFUL?
Jun remembered my eyebrows, partially because one is sort of baldish...or doesn't have much hair.
Last time, I gave 4 stars because of the loooong wait. This time, they deserve FIVE WHOLE STARS!!!! I hardly ever give 5 stars.

After reading all the great reviews by my fellow Yelpers about Jun's eyebrow threading service, I had to go here for my first threading experience.
Yes, I was a threading virgin and Jun was very gentle with me and talked me through everything she was doing.
I didn't realize how CROOKED my eyebrows were until I met Jun! I have been tweezing my eyebrows since I was a teen and I had always been curious about getting them shaped professionally and I'm so glad I did before my big day at the alter.
For the eyebrow threading/shaping, it was $15+tip and for my first time there I didn't have to wait long for my appt. I strongly recommend you make an appt AND bring cash/check.
It's also near 9th and Irving which is always a fun area to hang out and chill. Thanks Jun for my beautiful eyebrows and I will see you soon!
Ah one of my "beauty secrets!" I've been going to Jun's (sorry Orchid--you still get to do my nails though) for the last year for eyebrow threading and I'm completely satisfied with her attention to detail and advise. I came in last year with the asymettrical archy eyebrow and Jun took her time explaining what needs to happen for me to achieve a "natural" brow look. It took several months to grow, then thread, grow some more, then thread, and now, perfection! Even Audrey Hepburn would bless them if she were alive today. Thanks Jun! You're the best! Very friendly, service always with a smile!
jun is so popular! her phone line is always busy or i have to make an appointment at least 3 days in advanced. my attempts at calling for a same day or next day appointment has been unsuccessful. hahaha, and everytime she answers the phone, she talks to quickly, it sounds like she is out of breath from running to the phone.
i went to get my eyebrows threaded after months and months of neglect. jun helped me shape my eyebrows perfectly! and she even helped me thread away all the hair on my forehead. i love how she takes her time, and looks at your eyebrows from all different angles. and she asks you at intervals about what you like or dont like the progress. i swear, sometimes she purposely asks you to look at your eyebrows when they are not completely even just to see if you are really paying attention. oh and no skinny angry looking eyebrows from me! jun can shape very natural, yet defined eyebrows that is suitable for your face structure. oh, and yes threading hurts. it isnt too bad. you might tear up a bit when she threads near your eyelid.
and thats not all! (ok, this is beginning to sound like an infommercial) i got a facial from jun too! it was so amazing! 2 hours of deep cleaning. first she gave me a treatment around my nose to reduce redness and to even out my skin tone. it did cost $10 extra, but not everyone needs it. then she cleaned! i have disgustingly deep black and white heads all over my t-zone. she removed 80% of them because removing all of them would be too harsh for my skin. (watch how she uses the loop extractor. i have one at home, and i never really knew how to properly use it until i saw jun do it.) and then after she used an ice cold collegen mask to close up all of the pores! ive never had someone pay so much attention to my skin (not even my boyfriend! just kidding :D) and jun gave me recommendations about how to take care of my skin better and to wear sunblock!
$15 for threading and $60 (including redness treatment) for a 2 hour facial. its worth the money, time and commute from the east bay.
Lee and Jun are awesome. I have been going to Jun's Salon for a few years to get my haircut and let me just say the Lee is AWESOME. He makes me look so good. He really knows which hair style would suit you. I had bangs when I was in high school and they were not that good but alright. So I decided to get rid of them. I went to Lee one day and said " I think I want bangs again". I told him exactly what kind of bangs I want and he did it exactly the way I wanted them to be. It was a huge transformation. I have been getting compliments on my bangs like crazy! I love them and I plan to keep them for a while!
I think the number one thing to know when you go for a haircut isto know what you want. If you are clueless you cant blame the hair stylist for the bad haircut. Lee would ask me so many times if I am sure about what I want. If I dont like it he would fix it! I have never disliked what he did to my hair.
Jun is very sweet and nice and I always have fun conversation with her.
I would miss this place when I move out of SF.
I gave it only 4 stars because I hate the waiting part even though I make appointments a head of time. Hope they can get a little more organized about that.
I love this place so , so , so much. Thanks to all the reviews I decided to get my eyebrows done here and Jun made them perfect for my face shape and personal style. I used to have slightly assymetrical eyebrows and she fixed it. Will be uploading pictures soon :) I will definitely come back. Jun has AMAZING skills, so I would recommend this place to ANYONE who needs to get her eyebrows done. She mentioned that eyebrows are like life, it can make or break a face and I agree :)

After reading all the rave reviews on yelp, I decided to check this place out for myself. Upon entering, I immediately felt welcomed and at home. My appointment began about 15 minutes late but it is what it is.
Jun threaded my eyebrows. She was very nice and honest, and had very good opinions about how I could achieve a more "symmetrical" look (my eyebrows are basically... not pretty). She asked for my opinion and showed me what she was doing multiple times. However, the end result did not leave me impressed. I didn't really see it at the store, but when I left, I realized that my eyebrows were extremely messy/ungroomed-looking. Maybe that is partially due to the fact that I normally get them waxed and am accustomed to the cleanliness.
Lee dyed and cut my hair. I really enjoyed our conversation! However, again, the results were mediocre. Lee, too, spent a lot of time asking me what I wanted and tried many looks on me. I didn't feel that there was a COMPLETE change.. I just felt that my hair was lighter (duh, less hair), and the style/cut was something I could've gotten anywhere.
I knocked off one star because I personally felt a little disappointed. However, I must say that Jun and Lee are extremely passionate about what they do. They are GREAT people and extremely funny. I enjoyed my time there but I will have to reconsider about whether or not I'm returning based on the end results alone.
Lee & Jun are just wonderful. I've got my fiancee hooked. I'm hooked. You will be hooked as well.
This husband and wife duo know how to make you feel as pretty as you look walking out of that salon. The quality of Lee's cuts and dyes/highlights are AMAZING. Jun not only shaped my eyebrows but I just tried one of her facials last night and my skin feels like BUTTA! I'm so happy that they are so close by.
Recommendation? Make a reservation. I only knocked off one star (should be half a star really) because they tend to run a tight shift and sometimes spill over. BUT even though their store hours are till 7 they tend to always stay past that to finish their customers new dos.
This place is amazing. Jun and Lee know what they are doing. It's funny, I came for support with my friend getting a haircut-and I saw the way Lee analyzes his client's hair and really goes above and beyond with his hairstyles! So I it made me want to just get a haircut on the spot! I asked if there were any openings within a couple hours and yes there were! I picked out a style in one of the magazines there and Lee came through! I highly recommend this place. I haven't tried Jun's waxes or facials but for sure I'm coming back! They are so sweet and hold down a great business!
I'm one of those people that refuse to pay more than $40 for a haircut. My hair is long (if I got shortcuts, I think it would be another story but...), I usually just ask for it to be layered not thinned out to much b/c I like full bodied hairstyles. if the hair stylist cuts too much, too little, I don't freak out, my hair will grow back, and as long as its long, no one even really notices. I mean if they gave me bangs when I didn't ask for it, THEN I would freak out. Overall, I'd like to say that I'm pretty easy to please, which somewhat justifies why I don't like paying that much because my satisfaction level RARELY gets higher when I pay more for my haircuts. With that said... I looked on yelp for somewhere that had a decent number of CREDIBLE yelpers, with a decent 4 star rating but haircuts for under $40 and open after 5pm.
SERVICE:
I called and tried to see if they had anything available after 5:30pm, Jun asked if I could come at 4, but I just couldn't leave work. So she said a bunch of things in Cantonese to who I'm assuming was Lee, and than said, is 7pm ok? SURE! I realized that they closed at 7 and would be staying later to cut my hair and thread my brows and lip. Brownie points! +1
I came like 5 mins. Before 7, and since I already knew that they were kind of squeezing me in, I had no problem waiting, I was distracted enough that I don't even know what time they started my service, but I was done with the whole thing (wash, cut, dry, threading) at 9pm. They both greeted me and I just sat down and waited. Jun told me that it wouldn't be long. As I waited, a pizza man arrived and one of the customers handed the guy money and started eating pizza while his hair was sitting with dye. LOL. This was a first. But I like the laid back, comfortable non-froufrou atmosphere. They really want you to make yourself at home here. Very accommodating.
Then Lee was like, do you want pizza? I was thinking, why is this man offering me another dude's pizza? Ended up that Lee paid for the pizza, so of course I couldn't help myself and ate some Hawaiian pizza as I waited. Do you want something to drink? All we have is water. Uh, OK. Then Lee came by with a cup of water. I didn't expect service like this at a place that looks like this? Hahaha. It's like I was getting my hair cut from someone I knew.
MY HAIR CUT:
If I really wanted to be picky, I might give my hair cut like 4.5 stars. I think I would have liked it a teeny bit thinner at the bottom. BUT! It was my fault, b/c I should have said something, I told LEE that I wanted my hair nice and full. And that's exactly what I got. I told him 5 inches off from the bottom, and he practically took out a ruler and showed me the cut portion of my hair after he made the first cut and asked me if that's how much I wanted off. I got EXACTLY what I told him. He made sure he understood what I envisioned, and didn't push any of his opinions on me, and checked in every once in a while to make sure I was ok with what was going on with my hair.
THE THREADING:
This place has the same prices as my usual threader I go to in Burlingame, but they're open till 7pm! AWESOME. And I can get my hair cut and threading done under one roof! Jun does a good job of accessing before she starts working. Tells you what she envisions doing and makes sure you're on the same page. She noticed that one of my eyebrows arched higher than the other (I think my face is a little uneven, not my eyebrows, but..) she wanted to balance it out better. Then she said, if she messed up at least the side sweptness of my hair would cover one of my eyebrows. LOL. Ok, that scared me a little, but she was just trying to be funny and cordial.
She threads much slower than my usual threader, but she is WAAAAAAY more gentle. WAAAAY more gentle. The reason why I like this is because my skin doesn't get all irritated afterwards. Or minimally irritated. I don't like stuff on my skin (oils, or lotions, only astringent to disinfect) after threading since my pores are all open, but Jun kept rubbing in all this calming lotion on my lip and eyebrows. I told her she didn't have to. And she insisted that she knew what was best for my sensitive skin. I was kind of hesitant, but the calming lotion seemed to end up working really well! And I haven't broken out yet, so, Jun is in my circle of trust!
Wash, cut, dry $35, threading lip and brow $20
Expectations were met, price and service is good. I will be returning probably in 4-6 months.

At other salons I was in and out in 30 minutes and I was not satisfied eventhough they charged half the price.. I think I was in there for over an hour. I told him I wanted to grow out my hair and he gave me a nice trim with some layers. I liked it! It was $35 for my haircut and this was the first time I walked out with no regrets. it was worth it. like others on Yelp mentioned, they are both super friendly and honest! I ended up comin back to buy the paul mitchell smoothing serum after walking out to my car. It made my hair smoother and it smelled so good! I had to get it. I'll be back for my next haircut and maybe eyebrow threading!
Jun (wife) and Lee (husband) are very dedicated to their customers. My first visit was for a haircut and brow threading. Lee cut my hair and did exactly what I was looking for - nice soft layers. Jun did my brows and was a perfectionist. That's kinda important! She threaded my brows as I was laying down, sat me up to check them, and had me lay down again. This was repeated 2-3 times.
One Thursday, I called for an emergency appointment and although she was fully booked, Jun fit me into her evening with a 7:30pm appointment. The appointment took about 1 hour! I am terrible customer for making them stay so late. They were still super nice about it. When I was running late, she even said I could take my time. SIMPLY AMAZING. It would be wonderful if all customer service was like Jun & Lee's.
Unfortunately, they don't travel for onsite hair/makeup dos.
Just got my eyebrows threaded here! A 3 minute walk from my apartment and a FABULOUS job by Jun! First of all, that woman looks WAY too young to be 41. Second of all, it's absolutely adorable that her and her husband work together 24/7 (though I'm sure they don't always feel the same way). Third of all, kudos to them for squeezing me in the same day when I called them. Finally, Jun totally knows what she's doing. I'll be back. For sure.
I have been going to Jun for about a year. She fixed my crazy eyebrow with her expert threading. And she improved the color and texture of my skin -- it looks GREAT! I recently upgraded to the micro-current facial (I think that's what it is called) and I really do think it is erasing my "thinker" wrinkle. Be aware, the "current" can be a little scary at first and it will make your teeth feel strange.
The salon is small, and sometimes the wait is long even if you have an appointment. However, Jun's service and kindness makes up for the minor inconvenience. She does an excellent job!

Great facial and eye brow threading. June is very sweet and does a fabulous job!!!
So, I came here after all the positive reviews and here to give another one! Goin on two months without waxing my brows, I was still kinda sketchy because of my horrible experience at other salons. Jun is really friendly & nice, taking time on your eyebrows until they are just right.
Only thing is, you have to make an appointment probably like a week in advance. No walk-ins, so I suggest no one with an eyebrow emergency try here. I'm not surprised why she is always booked! Want some purrfect eyebrows come here!
I went here for my haircut based on a recommendation from a good friend (plus her hair is super cute!) Anyways I walk in and Li greeted me immediately. He sat me down and evaluated my hair and asked what I wanted to do. I told him I had an awful haircut from another place, so anything is better than what I had. I told him 2 things...don't make my bangs too short and don't cut the length. When he was done with my haircut I was so happy....I went home and my husband and son said my hair looked so good. When an 11 year old boy tells you your hair looks really good, you can't help but feel good. I will definitely be going back there.
They only accept cash, but $35 for a haircut with shampoo and blow dry...that's a steal!
I am a plucker. CORRECTION: I WAS a plucker. My tweezers are now out of plain sight on the very likelihood that I will get the urge to pluck that ONE stray hair. And maybe a few more here and a few more there... and before I know it, I'll be kicking it with my cholas Shy girl and Crybaby and I'll be known as Le Thin Brows.
After my experience with Jun, I'll probably be one of the many people who come every 3-4 weeks for a touch-up. She did a great job. I told her I wanted shape but nothing too thin. She did just that. Nice and long with a slight arch. Before threading away she pointed out all the flaws with my eyebrows. Man, I didn't know they were THAT bad. Apparently one was way higher than the other and half of one eyebrow had more hair than the other half. I felt like I'd been walking around this whole time and passersby would think, "Look at that asshole and her insulting eyebrows." Nonetheless, Jun has shown me the light.
My eyebrows are so fly, Shy Girl and Crybaby threw out their brow pencils and are growing theirs out to see Jun too.
Here I am again, updating my reviews again for Jun and Li. Only this time I now come in for facial treatments. For the past 10 years, I've been getting embarrassing adult pimples on my face with blotchy red and uneven tone. I took birth control pills for few years, but now that my husband and I are trying to get pregnant, I stopped taking them. Everything just went wrong with my hormones so my acne/pimples started to flare up again.
I've tried alot of other products to get rid of acne, but they hardly worked. And Jun had suggested that I should go through facial treatments, which she also includes hormone balancing treatments. One of the causes of acne/pimples are from unbalanced hormones. And knowing my hormones are pretty dramatic, I wanted to try Jun's style.
Here's what's so different from her and other facial spas I've went to in the past: She is very thorough and adamant of seeing fast results. And I did see great results, after the 2nd session. She literally digs under your skin and removes the pimples that day and you'd come out with smooth skin. I am not kidding you. You'll be red, of course. And it can be slightly painful, too. But I come out of there w/ smooth skin. No scars, either. And when there were, she uses special cream to lighten them. My skin tone is getting much more even and less red!
Every time I go in, she spends about 2 hours on my face. Maybe it's due to my radical acne problem or she is just THAT passionate of taking care of clients' skin.
Oh! and threading! She's very good at it.
It's always like a mini vacation when I come back for facial sessions.

Jun is AMAZING!. I love how she spends 25 minutes threading my eyebrows and then 15 or 20 more minutes perfecting them. After the major cleaning is done, she will shape your eyebrows by patiently pulling one hair at a time, until your eyebrows reflect her standard of perfection. She doesn't speak very good english, but that doesn't keep her from talking to you.
The last time I went there, I thought they looked fine, but she said in soft yet urgent voice "No! No! Zis one... no good." I was made to lay down again as she plucked two more hair from my left eyebrow, which seemed to satisfy her. I moved to the bay about 4 months ago and found Jun my second week there, which has been etched onto the list of blessings I thank the lord for.
Some notes:
APPT: Make an appointment. It's a little salon, but she gets busy. Even though I end up waiting for other people, I make it a point to get there on time.
PARK: There's a metered lot by the high school, but finding street parking pretty is not a challenge. I am told they don't really ticket in that neighborhood for parking over two hours or partially blocking someone's driveway unless you park like a moron or are very unlucky.
PAYMENT: She accepts checks.

I came in for a brazilian wax and Jun was very thorough! she said it would be painless and sure enough it was! yea i know i was pretty amazed! she is so sweet too! i felt so comfortable with her she is so personable.
After i was done i was so HAPPY!! ;D i decided to get my eyebrows threaded and she was so fast! both eyebrows and brazilian were super clean! i loved it!
Okay because i was so satisfied of course i came back and decided to get a haircut this time too! Oh my god Jun's husband, Lee, is AWESOME! I am pretty over-protective with who i let cut my hair but seriously i have to say he did one of the best jobs ever!
Prices are so affordable! Grreat customer service!!
