This place has potential to be a 5 star place, but sadly only gets a 3 star rating in my opinion.  I'm always looking for new places for my 2 1/2 year old to play and I decided to check out the Jungle.

The price was reasonable to me: about $6 for my son  and parents get in free.  Kids have to check in their shoes and then your whole party gets matching bracelets that will be checked when you leave (sort of the same way Chuck E. Cheese ensures that kids leave with thier party).

The downstairs has a toddler area for 3 year olds and younger which really made me happy.  This keeps my toddler from bumping into the bigger kids who tend to be more rowdy.  Much of the huge jungle apparatus can be accessed from the down stairs.  There's also a snack bar (we only bought a cookie from there so I can't comment on the food) and a huge area for parties.

Upstairs has all sorts of video games and ticket games.  The price of the games were reasonable with most games taking 1 or 2 tokens.  One of the big reasons I downgrade the Jungle is that many of their games were out of order.  I would venture to say that 30% of the games weren't working.  Of the games that were working, a lot of them were aging or on the verge of going out of order.

My son wasn't old enough to go in the big jungle part of the play area but on visual inspection I could see that much of the jungle is aged and in need of repair.  It's a shame too because if everything were up to date and in good condition it could be a 5 star place.

Super fun!  There are great games and so much to do.  There is a HUGE play structure.  Much better than Chuckie Cheese.  At the Chuckie Cheese I have been to you can't concentrate because seating area is mixed in with games but Jungle has better seating and their food tastes better.  Had a great time!

I've been here twice.  It serves your purpose, if your purpose is paying too much for really bad food and throwing your kids in a huge vat of germs for a few hours.

The kids, they love it (which is why they get 3 and not 2 stars.)  The huge climbing things, tunnels, slides, arcade section, etc. keep them going forever.  The toddlers have their own separate section too which is nice.

I lost track of Reno here once today.  But we both had paper bracelets on, so I knew it was all right... Umm.

Thsi place is perfect for toddlers and big kids to let out all their energy! You do however have to bring your purell in hand for after play time.

Food is not good here, so I suggest eat first or bring snacks to have.

Complete nightmare.

If you are looking for that complete "Lord of the Flies" experience for your child, this place is it.

Are you frickin kidding me?

Go to this place if you want to see parents brazenly ignore their kiddies while said children crawl through a two-story maze of bacteria-teaming filth and come out in some other area or floor of the building where anybody and their brother can take them by the hand and walk out the front door.

On a good day, you can also pay several dollars for crappy socks you will immediately trash afterwards and have much larger kids make a game of throwing plastic balls with all their might at your little tyke.  Then go home with a virus that will take several weeks to recover from.

Whee!

I've done some time up at the Jungle.   I was inmate 383230.   It was absolutely pure hell.   The horror.   The horror.

My wife and I thought we'd give a treat to our nephews and niece, so we pulled in here on a Tuesday evening with 5 boys and a girl, all between the ages of 3 and 7.   So we pay $50 for 5 kid admissions, a large cheese pizza that makes Costco's pizza look mmmmmmmMMmmmmm good.

The beer?   Dude if adults are masochistic enough to walk into the Jungle, the least you can do is keep beer on tap, no?   Those fuckers normally serve Gordon Biersch, Corona, Budweiser and Bud Light.   Well when we got there they were out of everything but Bud Light.   You wanna see a fucking riot?   We're stuck in hell and you can't get me a decent beer?   Do you care about your own safety and well being at all?  Cuz y'all don't know how close you were from losing your life today.

Anyway, so I was stuck in there for a couple of hours with some weird bracelet numbered 383230.   I ate a slice of bad pizza and drank some shitty beer and kept hearing kids screaming and screeching and ???

I bet if you're a parent if you have kids... this place is heaven.    If not...  RUN AWAY!!! RUN AWAY!!!! IT'S GOT FANGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place reminds me part Chuckie Cheese, part large scale hamster cage.

This place has a huge play area for kids where they can crawl through various tunnels, jump in pools of balls, climb up and down on netting, get squished and squashed between punching bags and basically, romp around and have loads of fun.

They have walking ramps next to this massive tunnel structure so that parents and adults can have a sense of what they're children are doing.  And I swear, the kids look like giant versions of hamsters crawling around on their hands and knees through those transparent tunnels.  All they need to add is a spinning wheel and a water dispenser (which wouldnt be a bad idea because you can seriously work up a thirst at this place)

If you're an ADULT, heed caution in this play structure!!  The slides are steep as hell and I skinned my elbows going down these things and the narrow tunnels and walkways were meant for kids....so expect to be crawling around on your fours the  entire time.

I came home that day with bruised knees....and slightly claustrophobic.

They also have a chuckie cheese-like playroom where the games spit out tickets that you can trade in for cheap little prizes.  You can also book the rooms for parties...although the food selection is pretty bad.  If you dont mind your kids scarfing down greasy pizza, coke and churros.

This place is whack.

The games don't always work or the tickets are not full so none dispense. Instead of refilling the tickets, the workers just give you a couple of tickets for your troubles. They don't bother to fix machines or slap "Out of Order" stickers on the ones that don't work properly (missing balls, eats tokens, out of tickets, etc.)

I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was crackin' like a mofo in there. You have to wait in line to get in, to purchase tokens, to play games, to redeem your tickets for a ticket slip, to redeem your ticket slip for prizes, and finally to get out of the place.

The only thing this place has going for it is the pizza here is better than the other Jungles. That's not saying much.

After having been to the San Jose Jungle for other kids' parties, I knew what to expect at the Concord branch.  The overall experience is roughly the same, except this one seems to me to be a little bit cleaner and newer.  I still don't like the fact that the use of the party room (at 45 minutes) feels a bit rushed to fit in pizza and cake eating.  I do like that they have kid size tables and chairs.

The food is passable, just one notch better than Chuck E Cheese's (which I guess is not too hard to do).

Bottom line:  If I were a kid, I would probably love this place.  But since I'm not, I'll give this place 3 stars.

Before I earned a degree that now has me sitting behind a desk and wearing appropriate footwear, I actually used to play with children! Day camp was the best because of the field trips and at least twice every summer we would take the kids to The Jungle in Concord.

The Jungle is this huge indoor play structure (but not like those lame ones at McDonald's) with tube slides, climbing structures, and big pools filled with plastic balls.  I remember we used to bring in about 30 kids to this place who would go crazy and scare the shit out of all the stay-at-home moms and their sheltered children-it was a blast.

My recommendation when going there-wear fitted comfortable clothing, a good pair of socks that won't slip off, and knee pads. It's like taking a really intense Bikram yoga class on fast forward with kids screaming in the background. Be careful of the little ones though, I once gave a kid a bloody lip when I was going down the long slide, but hey, it wasn't anything a few red vines couldn't fix. There's actually even a smaller, "jungle," at this same location for only the toddlers to play in.

Almost makes me want to have a kid. Or steal someone else's for the day.

I took my nieces here on a rainy day great place. One is only eighteen months and they had a place away from all the older kids for her to play. The five year old loved going through the tunnels, running around, and screaming. The people here are nice. It is pretty clean seeing how many kids come here they do their best. Some kids here though seems like their parents drop them off and let them do whatever. Like I had their eighteen month in with the balls in the infant/toddler area and a group of like nine year olds came running in jumped in almost smushing her. If they were my kids ohh... so disrespectful. But this place is great besides the some kids who attend.

I enjoy taking my kids to the jungle. I actually had my son birthday party there, and everytime we go to the jungle, we have a blast. All the kids we invited liked it too.  The jungle to me is a good place of kids, but you have to watch out for the older kids that be running around the place.  They sometimes are too rough for the little ones.

I went on a Thursday afternoon. It was pretty empty and I liked that. I can imagine the chaos on the weekends. I would reccomend this place for children aged 5-10.  They do have a toddler area however.
We had a good time.

My son is now too old and too big for this place, so I most likely will not be back.  During our time here, this was a great place for my son to have fun and burn off all that male energy.  I also didn't mind hanging out in the separate seating areas.  I usually read or brought some work with me and after a few hours we were both happy.  This was a much better choice than Chuckie Cheese which I found more disorienting.  The food at the Jungle (such that it is) is also better.

My four-year-old daughter loves this place, which is why it made it to three stars. But beware: the food here is junk, and you're a captive audience. You're not allowed to exit, eat at one of the many other restaurants in The Willows, and come back in. Bring your own food, for sure.

one of the perfect place to celebrate your kids birthday party, but schedule your birthday party in mid-afternoon before it gets chaotic.

two of the worst hours of my life were spent at this place. my daughter came to a five year olds birthday party and was terrified too. it was filthy, dangerous, over-crowded, extremely noisy, disorganized, run-down and understaffed. getting a root canal would've been a better way to spend an afternoon.

I am still wearing my wristband as I write this, having spent 2 hours that seemed like 10 in this place...long lines to get in, adults dont have to pay, only kids do (smart decision there), the token machine stole my first $5, I was worried that management would think I was lying but they took it in stride, seems the machines steal money regularly...when I got my tokens for the kid literally half the token stealing machines called games didnt work (we'll be repaired soon!), and the whole place has a need-to-be-cleaned chaotic feel...hordes of screaming kids and dazed adults abound, but that is to be expected. Then finally two of the three ticket taking get your receipts here machines were broken too. Food and drink here is better than Chuck E. Cheese, but that is not really a compliment. Chuck's is cleaner and better run, but just as crazy. If you have a teeneged kid you hate, get them a job here, but make sure their mental health insurance is paid up.
