I've been patronizing this print shop since they were called Jungle Copy and they served lattes on the side. Anyway, I get several jobs printed at Jungle per year. Last summer, I had my wedding programs and invitations printed and Adam and his crew did a quality job.

During the winter months, Jungle opens its doors to art patrons every first Friday of the month. (This is just between you and me, but they serve better wine than the other galleries on the art walk).

I really liked this place. I've played music there, I've made lots of copies there and done projects there. I've bought posterboard and refreshments there.

Recently, I had some photo prints scanned there, thinking that perhaps the quality or pricing would be better than that of Keeble & Schuchat (a photography store). I brought in 25 4" x 6" prints and asked about pricing. He told me it would be $65 an hour. "No problem," I thought. "They're professional and they'll do it fast. Plus, they can scan several at a time. It'll take 20 minutes."
Wrong.
It took them over a week to scan the photos and then charged me over $70. I received the disc and opened it up on the computer to find very small PDF files with mysterious drop-shadows around the images. The colors were altered (very red) and gradients were rough and abrupt. The images were grainy and the levels were weird. I brought them back to be redone. After some petty argument, they agreed to do it on a different scanner to see if it gave different results. The re-scan process took 2 days short of a month before I got my stuff back.
Once again, I go home to check the quality; oops again. Same coloring issues, even after 15 minutes of calibrating my monitor. Furthermore, the images are horribly cropped, leaving white bands on at least one side of every image. Some parts are even cut off.

I'm really disappointed. What a waste of my time!

Just looking at the Yelp reviews for Jungle Digital, you either love it or hate it and I LOVE it!  Nope, they are not cheap (try printing at VistaPrint com if what you want is cheap and crappy), but they are good at what they do, they are local and community spirited and if you treat people nicely here you will reap great rewards here!

Community: Art by local artist, free live music, a record label associated with local bands, the Palo Alto chamber of commerce, they are a "green" business, sometimes they give discounted rates for local non-profits

Printing: They know what they are doing, Jungle Digital (what was once called Zebra) has been in Palo Alto longer then most everyone else, including me. Jungle is pre-"Silicon Valley Boom" (circa 1987) and have managed to survive by adapting to the market and perfecting printing. The color print work here is pretty accurate, the black and white printing is quick and large format is carefully done. The quality of printing is far more superior to any other local or internet printers. They offer affordable Giclee (fine art) printing which is hard to come by. I previously worked in the print industry and Jungle has always impressed me. I can say enough good stuff about this place...

Graphic Design: Yep, they are pretty damn good at this too! If its postcards, business cards, calenders, filers or whatever. Trust them, give them a chance :)

Oh and ps. Dang, the proprietor of Jungle is really awesome! (just ignore Ranjelin S. she is so obviously bitter)

As noted by others here, there's new management and I too have high hopes for an improved experience.  The fact that the CEO emailed me directly here to let me know all of this is a big thumb's up for me.

And I do cut a place like this some slack (especially in this economy) because it's at least trying - and the idea of hearing music, looking at local art or having a coffee in a business while you wait for your order is a great one. And I do like the transparency involved - and that their space is actually quite cool looking (and seeing printing going on adds to its charm).  Let's hope this monkey in the Jungle changed its stripes (sorry, couldn't resist - that was bad...).

I'm writing this review because I went there to see a band, not get business cards printed haha. I went to this place last June to see Ampere and Loma Prieta, and it was a really fun environment. The shows here always have really really good bands, and the venue being an office in the day is kept pretty clean. They do a good job of booking certain bands, so the crowd is never really that rowdy although, they still allow to dance and "git yer groove on". I recently saw Loma Prieta, Touche Amore, Drowning With Out Anchors, and two other Local bands here and it was a blast. Definitely a place to check out if you're looking for some fun music. Only part to watch out for is drunken Stanford Students with nothing to do. Last time I went there was some guy in a "Funaholic" shirt causing a ruckus, nonetheless it was funny.

I needed to have 100 brochures printed and so I went to a couple printers in the area for estimates. For the same paper stock, same quantity, both using the digital press-- these were the quotes I got:

House of Printing: $65
Pea Press: $55
JUNGLE: $170

Not only was their estimate over TWICE the cost of the other printers, but their customer service comes with a lot of attitude. Wasn't worth my time or money.

My review was written quite awhile ago, and since then Jungle has changed hands. The new partner has been very gracious in letting me know about some big changes going on, so I have high hopes for their improved products and customer service.

I think these guys are great (i have terrible kinko's stories).  I'm sorry that a few of you had bad experiences with them, but every time I've needed their services, last minute services or large orders they've pulled through.  The people over there I've worked with have been very helpful as well.

Back when they were at 151 University, I got some of my course readers here. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. A favorite of Stanford students and professors, but probably more suited to simpler copying needs.

Horrible experience with Jungle.

I spoke with someone on the phone who said I could pick up my printed brochures, which I needed for a conference the next day, at 9pm.  guess what?  I got there and the place was closed.  There was a guy inside still working and I knocked and he opened the door.  I told him I needed to pick up brochures and he said sorry, I don't do that, and then closed the door on me.

So then, I had to rush over to Kinkos that night and photocopy the brochures so that I would have them for the conference the next morning.

When I went to Jungle to complain the next day, they said, oh sorry, the guy who works here at night is not friendly.  And oh sorry, I guess you got wrong info on the phone about when to come and pick up your order.   Then did not give me a price break or anything.

Really good print quality, but the staff is kind of weird...they'll be really nice and helpful at first, but fail to tell you that what you're asking for is an extra charge and yell at you for it as if you're trying to get something for free. Don't get mad at me for asking you to do something I didn't know was extra. Why the wild mood swings? Have not been back in like 3 years.

I am have had great experiences working with Jungle. The owners, Mark and Dang, take immense pride in their work and have always gone above and beyond for me- even when I call them at the last minute (which I do all the time!) They even have a someone bring a proof to me at work when I can't get over there. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Last minute print job (what else is new?)  After phone calls to get price quotes from several printers, and a  visit to Kinkos (California Ave) I found Jungle.  I was quoted a reasonable price, given my requirement for a quick turn around.  As well, they extended their patience with my less-than-advanced techno skils (which resulted in they having to do 2 proofs due to my file errors.)  They did a great job - on time.   Happy to have found a locally owned, independent printer to do business with.
