Harvard Avenue (Green)
I don't get my nails done a lot, as I am very weary about the cleanliness of nail salons. I decided I needed them done though, and tried Julie's after reading the reviews here.
Unfortunately, I did not think as highly of it as they did:
The place was empty and a few of the workers were eating dinner at the nail stations. The pedicure baths didn't get washed after my pedicure. The nail implements were not clean, nail files carry a LOT of bacteria and the one used on me had been used on a ton of other people. And lastly (I think) the cuticle nippers were places in a drawer with the money after they were done using them on me.
My nails did come out OK, but this whole experience just reminded me why I will either stick to doing my own nails or pay the few extra dollars and head back to MiniLuxe.

I got a mani and pedi a few days ago. The mani is starting to chip a bit, but its not horribly noticeable. The pedicure looks great and I hope it lasts a month like Rebecca mentioned.
$10 for a manicure, $20 for a pedicure. Very friendly staff and I didn't have to wait. Their drying machines are a bit slow, but they make sure that you use it a few drying cycles and don't try to push you out the door like some places.

I've actually been going to Julie's for a few years, but their service has taken a turn for the worse. They rush you in and out, don't listen when you ask them to shape your nails a certain way and their pedicures just don't seem to last. It's time to find a new place.

I've been a loyal Julie's customer since 2002. I once got this crazy idea and started to try other nail salons around the city and I was so disappointed in them until my husband pointed out that manis from Julie's never disapoint me. He's so right. The girls there are very nice and very sweet. I don't think I've ever had to wait or anything like that. The color selection is ok, not as extensive as other places. The manis and pedis do last a long time...I can get a mani to last for two weeks and a pedi for a month or more.

Julie's nail salon is the most considerate salon I've been to. They let me make an appt for the very latest time they would take - then stayed late to let me fully dry my nails. They did a great job with my short nails & they have an awesome color selection. My manicure lasted w/out wearing off for a good 4 days - which is the longest I can usually go. A bonus is the big screen tv that keeps you entertained while you are drying your nails.

Hardly ever a wait. A friendly staff with plenty of loyal customers. Great prices and a pedicure that can last more than a month!
