Hmmm, not really sure what all the hype is about.  This place is very close to where I live, so I've been there a couple times to bring some burgers home.  However, I doubt I'll be back.  I felt the place was somehow unsanitary, maybe because the condiments and produce were in uncovered bins and there were flies flying around.  The burgers I bought were OK, but really I enjoy In 'N' Out or Mojo Burger more.  Try one of those burger places before you try Juicy, or even the over-priced Taxi's or Johnny Rockets.  In short, Juicy Burger is just... a'ight.

Oh, Juicy Burger, how i love thee.  Let me count the ways....

Is it the fact that, though the menu is small, the burgers are made to order and not frozen?

Is it the fact that they ask you how you would like your burger cooked (medium well, thank you)?

Maybe it is the fact that there is an entire smorgasboard of burger toppings and condiments awaiting for me to pile on at my heart's delight? Including sriracha sauce??

No, perhaps it is the fact that every order comes, not on a plate, but in its own little to-go box, whether you are eating at the restaurant or not.  This ensures that i order two burgers... one for the meal there and one to enjoy when that late-night craving hits later.

We must reunite soon.  Next thursday perhaps?

The burgers here are cooked to order and it is refreshing to be asked how I want the burger to be cooked (medium?  well-done?).  The burgers are quite tasty and come without any toppings or condiments -- nope, there is a bar full of stuff to put on the burger by yourself.

And that is a great thing since I could stack whatever and however much stuff I wanted on my burger.  The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh as can be and in abundance.  There were also other assorted fresh toppings.

The burger tasted great and the menu was not complicated -- you can have small, regular, large, or mega burgers.  Cheese?  Sure.  The curly fries come in a HUGE basket -- but were kind of on the dry side for me.

The only thing that keeps Juicy Burger from getting five stars is the price.  It is a bit pricey at Juicy Burger, but the burgers make it almost worth it.

Update:  Do NOT come here on a hot day since the owners seem to want to save money by not turning on their air conditioning.  The restaurant gets oppressively hot on a hot summer day, making it a terrible dining experience.

Nothing hits the spot like a tasty burger.  I'm not talking about some fast food place.  Here you can order from a variety of meaty options (ranging from 1/3 lb to 1/2 lb), the fries are hot fresh, the onion rings are delicious and you're in a clean and friendly atmosphere.  Your burger is cooked and you garnish them yourself.

Not sure what the big deal is with this place.  In this price range Kirk's is so much better.  For a #3 combo that's $8 I was disappointed.  The meat itself was decent, but way overseasoned.  Even if the seasoning was spot on, I wouldn't burn another $8 at this place.  The fries here are good though.  In 'N' Out is better than this place for burgers.

We have been going here since it first opened.  After trying other JBs in San Jose, the Blossom Hill location is by far the best in all categories (taste, presentation, friendly staff and clean).  The only downside to this location is the parking infront of the restaurant...tight when its full but you can find ample parking elsewhere plaza nearby.

There is a variety of items to choose from. The Junior size is a smaller hamburger than regular if you are hankering for a burger but do not want the regular which is pretty large especially after you add the fixings.  I usually go for the Junior cheeseburger and go for a squirt of mayo, ketchup, fresh cut tomato, sliced sweet bread pickles (more on the side) and a red onion slice. The hubby goes for the regular cheeseburger with a variety of fixings.  Our son and daughter like the cheeseburger version as well.  We always get the fries/onion rings and drinks.

There is a refrigerated case with a large variety of drinks (sodas, juices and waters) or you can order a fountain soda, where you get one free refill. You can also order a chicken sandwich if you are not in the mood for a beef burger.  I like that you can tell the folks here how you want your beef burger cooked.

The staff is friendly and knows us pretty well since we've been going here for a long time.  Even when it's busy, the service is quick and friendly.  There is a good mix of folks who eat here...couples, families with kids and singles. You do clean up after yourself (you can tell who's new to the JB scene when they leave their debris on the table or their plain lazy...not too many lazy folks at this JB location!).  The staff wipes the tables clean and takes the items away that the lazy folks leave behind.

Overall, this is a nice little burger place that is friendly, clean and tasty.  I do wish they had a better veggie burger.....

Great fast food. I don't go here enough.... if you want some good, good priced, good tasting burgers. I would recommend going here. They are like In and Out in the respect they don't do everything.... they focus on making really good burgers.

It's an unassuming place next to Outback Steak house near the Sports Authority. If you want a tasty burger in South San Jose, look no further. Juicy Burger is the best spot.

Note: They close around 9pm, it's pretty early for a burger joint in my opinion. Make sure you get there at a reasonable hour.

The burgers here are really really good!  I've been coming here since I was a kid but their burgers have never faultered... Their fried zucchini are in these spear things and are also very good... I'm a sucker for onion rings as well.. they give you a load of fries with the combos too... The burgers taste so good and you get to put your own condiments and add-ons in the bar... they even have peppers, carrots, celery, pickles, and olives to snack on...

I always pick up the free magazines and read them while I'm waiting for my order to be up, but the service never takes too long... but they don't have a huge amount of seating in there...

The only reason I took off a star is they tend to get moody if you come anywhere near close.. I'm talking the last 30 minutes they're open and they tend to shut off the "open" light before they close...

I love this burger place!  Soooo happy to have found it!  I moved here from Canada, where "Harvey's" hamburgers is the BEST burger franchise place.  It has the same idea where you can choose your own toppings for on the burger... and the burgers are fabulous.  I've been so disappointed here in California, that I have been unable to find a similar type of burger place... until now! :)

The "only" thing missing, is that the menu at Juicy Burger does not offer a "Vegetarian Burger" -- and, I mean a Vege burger that looks like a REAL burger.  NOT the horrible chunky vegetable kind like at the Burger King's here in the US.  The Burger King's in Canada actually have a tasty Vegetarian Burger (w/ no chunks of vege's... ewww!)

I did break down and had a real burger for a change, at Juicy Burger ;)  And, it was absolutely wonderful.  They will ask you how you would like the burger cooked... and that is what you will get!   If you haven't had a burger here yet... you definitely need to try it out!!!

I've only tried Juicy Burger on Blossom Hill Rd. so far.  I do intend to try some of the others soon too :)

I love this place. It's like going to a family BBQ. They have all the fixings lined up for you, so you can help yourself to as much lettuce, ketchup, mayo, mustard, fresh sliced pickles, tomatoes, onions, etc, as you want!

The portions are HUGE. So be prepared. I would only recommend going here if you are very hungry. Otherwise you will likely be overstuffed or not finish your food.

The prices are a bit high. But you know what they say, you get what you pay for.

Not all Juicy Burgers are created equal.  After discovering and loving this one in South San Jose, I tried one closer to home.  What a disappointment.  JB #5 on Blossom Hill Rd really blows that one out of the water.  I love a good hamburger and that's exactly what you get here.
