I think this store means really well, but they've spread themselves too thin to be useful to me. I'm a knitter, so I usually go in there for yarn, needles, notions, or knitting tools (t-pins, blocking wires, etc). Unfortunately, every time I've gone in, the sales person who has offered to help me hasn't known what I'm talking about or has tried to sell me something else. Once I came in looking for worsted, black, machine washable yarn and she tried to sell me various colors of DK. Another time I asked for t-pins, was told they didn't have any, and then found some by the door on my way out. I bought them at JoAnn's instead. And once an older woman working there looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for blocking wires. 'I've never heard of those, hon," she said, looking at me over her glasses.
I'll go here when I desperately need a certain size needle to finish a project, but my business usually goes to the other yarn shops in the area, all of which have a better selection and better service.
That isn't to say that this is a mediocre bead, sewing, or jewelry making store. It's probably a great store for other crafts and that's why they don't pay much attention to knitting. But if you're a knitter, there are better stores in the area that deserve your business.
