Review from Will L.
Walking off the slopes I needed food and beer and fast. I was able to take care of this craving at the Old Forge.
In a town that likes to charge a arm and a leg for everything I was pleasantly surprised that 2 slices of white pizza, 1 local ale and a hot choclate was twelve bucks!!
Staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. Need a bite to eat after a day at Vail, come here. -

Not bad. Not epic. Just decent.
Fast service, hot food, cold beer. Nothing to complain about, really. Just nothing mind-blowing or really exceptional.
Definitely an interesting spin on caprese salad. Don't expect only tomatoes and fresh mozzarella topped with basil leaves - it's an actual salad (a la lettuce) with chunks of tomato and mozz with a pretty tasty vinaigrette and shreds of basil. Not a bad variation, just somewhat surprising. The pizza pans are quite large - my husband and I couldn't finish more than about 2/3 of our pan, so you may want to consider downsizing or finding another friend to tackle a pan! Luckily, they have several large tables, so feel free to bring your posse. For how much food you get out of a pan, the $17 pricetag is pretty reasonable. I'm somewhat bummed I couldn't convince my husband to order the focaccia knots - the photos of them on the wall made me drool a little bit, but we definitely had a ton of food as it was.
The location is pretty easy to find coming out of the Lionshead parking garage - it's virtually a straight shot. It's pretty cool that they offer a take-and-bake option also! -

Whilst the pizza ain't great, the staff and people watching are among the best.
Stopped in for a drink and the guy working offered us some fruit he brought in from home! Ha! He was super friendly and chatted us up even though we weren't ordering a pie.
We decided to came back later for a slice and again the guy working was super cool making suggestions and making sure our pizza was good even though it got super busy and he was the only one working. We sat outside for a good hour munching on our pizza and enjoying the scene. -

Ate Pizza here last night. We were alone, kinda strange at 9:30 pm, but the guys inside we're great. Had a large pizza and two drinks -$20 bucks. Best price of any food at Vail. Crust was very good, very crisp. Good food, nice staff and good price.

The service was great and it was good place to hang out for an hour. However I have problems with gluten and after I had the gluten free pizza I had some issues. I would not recommend the GF pizza if you are celiac.

Pizza is good, price is great, service and employees are Rad! Hit this place up if you're in Vail, very very chill and they'll make you feel welcome.

Perhaps the altitude has affected you people way too much (or perhaps you have smoked too much bud) but this was seriously the worst pizza we've ever had. Tasteless. Domino's is 100 times better.

We were in Vail for a week and my kids ate there almost every day. I had 2 lunches there too. Pizza was delicious. The garlic knots were tasty too. Pizza is done differently than the pizza you would get at the usual pizza place. Prices are reasonable and the service was very good. The help was very nice to my kids. Will return next time in Vail.

Great pizza. The crust is delish. Plus the Italian vinaigrette is superb. The place is hard to find at night -- needs some lights in the signage. Highly recommended.

I don't like pizza. At all. But whatever heavenly food this was was amazing. It was like no 'pizza' I've ever had before.

Good solid pizza and they serve beer too... The crust is delicious - maybe its the altitude but we loved it.

This place has incredible pizza. We always get the large supreme pizza and everyone devours it. The crust is thick, but crunchy. Try to wrap your head around that one. Personally, I wish it was down in Denver instead of Vail so I could eat there more often.

Breakfast Pizza?? Don't knock it till you've tried it. This place is a must for a quick breakfast before heading over to the Eagle Bahn Gondola. Very quick, friendly and tasty... Definitely worth checking out.
