Fantastic little breakfast joint. Full of locals upon waking in, which is always a good sign. They got our drink orders before we even chose a table.

Ordered 2 eggs with bagel ($2.90!) and eggs benedict with home fries ($7.99).

Great service, great prices, great food. This was definitely a great last meal as we head to the airport. Highly suggested.

A little diner - like really little -- with that old run down diner kind of feel.  My kind of place. Yours too? Yay.

Small joint - lots of history and following. They move quickly so the wait isn't too bad. On the weekend friendly locals hang outside and wait patiently for a table or spot at the counter. Yes- a counter. More yay.

It's not really a bagel place- it's a breakfast joint. Real people. No heels. Eggs, bacon, toast, OJ, ok but not great coffee.  Cheap and friendly (under $3 for 2 eggs and a bagel.)

Hollywood is absolutely desparate for more good breakfast joints - and even more in need of people that will come and eat breakfast here.

If you are one of them, come here if you haven't already- which you probably have because there are hardly any good places to eat breakfast in Hollywood.
    Sigh...

This place was great!  Super tasty!

The ambience is very "teeny tiny" diner, and the service left a little to be desired (where's my water?!) - but the gals are pretty friendly and the food was very tasty.

    Would return!

Ok, I don't want to do a disservice to JP's. It was tasty. My corned beef hash was ok. Not as good as Lester's. The poppy bagel was a very good bagel. I thought it was a bit pricey for what it was and it is VERY TINY!!! Not a spot for a party of more than 4.

    L-O-C-A-L!
This joint reminds me of my childhood. It is something about the wait staff knowing all the older men's names, the exchange of monikers like 'Hun', 'Sweetie', 'Baby', and having their orders delivered without so much of a verbal exchange. The close quarters of JP's increases this intimacy. Your conversation is bound to be heard so make it worthwhile! ;)
The bagels are great, I recommend a grilled in butter bagel sammich of egg, cheese and bacon. I used to use the drive-thru window on my way to work, great for a hangover cure too!
I change it up each time I go, great breakfast joint, period.
DO IT! and if there is no parking, park on the street. If there is a wait, wait. It's worth it.

Great hole in the wall mop and pop breakfast place yet dont let the name fool you as this aint no Bagel joint...Not in the traditional sense as there is not much of a selection, no appetizing and no counter-people.  This is a real eggs bacon and potatoes kind of place well worth the trip especially after you get the bill..Big tasty plates with small price points..will keep you coming back for more..just don't go expecting some sable with your bagel...

While making my trip to JP's, I was expecting an overabundance of bagels and a showcase of all their varities. I mean, the place is called JP's Bagel Place, so I was somewhat convinced this was bagel haven for even the most serious aficionado.

When I first entered, my imagination came to a screaming halt. The place is just a diner, not an actual 'bagel place'.

Despite the hesitant feeling of leaving, I decided to stay and give the 'bagel place' a shot. I went on a Sunday morning, so the place was packed, and along with a friend, were given a table next to the door.

Why this place is called JP's Bagel Place is beyond me; in fact, their menu has not one section dedicated to their supposed array of bagels. I had to ask the waitress, and even she was struck  with surprise from my question. It seems people just come here for omelets and pancakes, not so much for bagels.

I ended up getting an omelet and a cinnamon raisin bagel and my friend ordered pancakes with a French toast side. The food was okay, small quantity, but not surprising for the such the low price. The service? So and so, as well, except for occasional disappearance of our waitress from a 10 sq ft radius. The place is small, and that'll be the first thing you'll notice. Everything on the menu is cheap, and our bill came out to no more than $15.

    * To note, there's an IHOP down the street, but I would recommend this JP's as a cheaper breakfast alternative.

I've never had a bad breakfast here in the decades it's been in business..  It gets really busy after the morning meetings or church goers.. Everyone knows one another and says hello..
Breakfast is always fresh, well executed, hot, delicious and very, very economical.  He's not out to cheat you out of a great breakfast because he (the owner) is back over seeing everything to make sure his business brings the best to his customers..
Love this place!  Highly recommend it to anyone looking for small town feel restaurants..

This past September I was on the last leg of my jet blue aycj pass and had a layover in FLL from Nassau back to the Bay... Wish it was Miami because our layover was a good 8hrs and we had no form of transportation! A cab to Miami woulda cost an arm n a leg so decided to stay local.. We yelped near by breakfast spots and found this amazing place! I love bagels so i was sold on the name already!

This place is the definition of a mom and pops joint. No joke!!! Although it's tiny, its a nice and decent homey spot where everyone knew everyone by first name, waiters knew ppls "usuals", customers poured themselves and even others coffee refills, and grandparents brought their next grandbabies and told stories of "when u mom or dad was your age.." Loved it!!

I ordered an omelette and it was very good. It totally brought me back to the kind of weekend breakfast you eat at home while watching saturday cartoons. The bagels are so fresh and go great with anything you order. The prices were very affordable and despite being a "tourist" target everyone was so friendly and nice! So nice that a pair of grandparents who were with their two grandkids offered my friend and I a ride a couple blocks to the beach after we chatted with them throughout breakfast. And we took them up on their offer too!

Such a nice welcoming place and group of people, I'd definitely like to stop by if I'm ever back in FLL. :)

Visiting from California, we found this place on Yelp.  Great breakfast, great bagels, SUPER nice people.  As good as any of the best breakfast joints I've been to (and that's a lot).

    Get the biscuits and gravy!

What a great little breakfast dive.

First of all the place was packed (only sits about 20 or 25 people). So there was a few minutes wait to get a seat. The staff give great and speedy service ensuring that the table turnover is quick.

The food is your typical breakfast fare: bagels, eggs, pancakes, deli sandwiches, etc...

Everything tasted great and the coffee was good.
Only downside is that its cash only.

Will be visiting again real soon.

If you didnt know it was here, you would drive right by it. Its very small and right off the circle, but its always been here for me when I needed it. Which is usually after a long night of fun and the only thing to make me whole again, is a bagel. They have a decent selection, nothing to go crazy over. Being that it IS a bagel place, you would think there were more choices of bagels and creme cheeses, but its okay. They also offer a whole breakfast / lunch menu AND have a drive through! AND, according to their business card, they deliver! The place is small. It can maybe hold 20 people max at the tables inside and its always busy.
Its a nice little alternative to Dunkin Donuts and I would rather give my money to the little mom and pop place any day over a massive corporation.

This is one of my favorite little breakfast joints in Hollywood. The food is great and the staff is friendly. The only problem is that on a weekends there might be a little wait to get a table or a spot at the counter. However there is a reason there are people willing to wait in the parking lot for some warm pancakes and toasty bagels.

Thank you Yelppers to help me find a good breakfast place to eat.  Is it just me or it seems like it's so hard to find a good place to eat in Florida?  I'm visiting from CA and have been relying heavily on Yelp.  The only one time I couldn't access yelp, I got ripped off.

Anyway, JP's bagel place is a must if you want to have some fresh bagels and omelettes.  The food is fresh, good tasting and the price is super reasonable.  It is not far away from those fancy Hollywood hotels.  So if you stay there for a vacation, just drive here to have a good breakfast.  It is not a fancy place by the way, so don't expect a super shining clean restaurant but it's good.

Excellent food and service, but they need a bigger place! It can get busy and is cash only.
