Joshs Market is the best place to buy your fruits and vegetables, everything there is organic and taste like the real thing not like all your other fruits and veggies bought in other markets,Josh is always there answering your questions and helping you pick the perfect fruit or veg
He helped pick our watermelon which
was the best watermelon my family had.
I like buying my produce from Josh not only because it is the best around but also because Josh gives so much back to his community, every Sun afternoon he donates his produce to Chai lifeline who deliver the produce to families with illnesses.Would love to have more markets like this around.

What a find! Extensive variety of organic produce, mostly local. Plus, tucked around the corner, is their organic juice bar complete with an ocean view.

The most beautiful selection of organic produce I have seen in Florida. You can't get greens like this anywhere else (not even Whole Foods). I can't tell you how impressed I was with this place. They got an amazing juice bar too. Fresh fruits and veg juiced in a manual juicer while you wait. Try their green juice blend. if you have been looking for an organic farmers market in south florida, look no further. It's open Sundays only from 9 to 5:30 but they take a while to set up. I would suggest getting there around 10.

They got it all from fruits to nuts. The freshest of the fresh. FTD!

This market is part of my Sunday ritual.  I always arrive to the market early (parking is limited) and wait for the cop (do vegetables need that kind of protection?) to cut the yellow tape that signifies the market opening.  Even though it is suppose to open at 9 am, it NEVER does!

I give this place 5 stars because the produce and selection can't be beat. I especially like to buy the FL grown, "picked last night" seasonal speciality items.  Braisin mix is one of my favorites.  It is a mix of hearty greens and bitter lettuces.   I eat it both raw or lightly sauteed with garlic and soy sauce YUM!  The juice bar is delish and fresh, but a little pricey ($6 juice and $9+ smoothies).  Remember to bring cash, but there is an ATM a few feet away on the boardwalk.

I have been shopping here since 2007, and it keeps on getting better (and more crowded).

This is an ultimate farmer's market. Everything is very fresh and its right next to the beach...i mean its literally like 20 steps to the water.

Prices are a little higher than what i was used to in Chicago, but thats OK, the freshness is worth it! The service is great and the owner is running around making sure it stays so.

    They have a juice bar.
Discounts for bringing your own bags.
Wait time for the smoothies can be long, but they are constantly handing out free samples while you wait.
Only open on Sundays, but then again who shops farmers markets during the week?

I've been coming here almost every Sunday I can to load up on my fresh veggies and fruits for the week. All the other reviews are correct, the place is great. What could be better than shopping for organic produce next to the ocean? Foodies, veggies, kosher types, this is the place to go. Plus, is it just me, or do the most gorgeous funky women shop here, or what???

    My grumpy caveats:
    1. No credit cards, cash or check only. Do try to write your driver's license number, phone number and "Josh's Organic Garden" on it before you come. That way the cashiers won't have to ask you to do it, you won't take 5 minutes to do it, and the 20 people behind you in line won't have to watch you perfect your signature.
    2. Be prepared! Bring a box or your own canvas bag. Be considerate and load up your produce as the cashier rings it up. Don't stand there with your mouth open and then expect the cashier to shovel your beets in your box for you, or to all of the sudden find a box for you.
    3. The place is MOBBED. Refer to top items above.

Sorry to sound mean-spirited, but this place is busy!! Awareness is a virtue and the the first step towards consideration for others.

It gets 5 stars cuz it's one of its kind up here.

I'm a romantic so when I can ride my bike with my man to the beach side organic market, choose quality veggies like heirloom tomatoes in several warm hues of yellow, orange and various shades of red; herbs up the wahzoo that smell so delicious, radishes, beets, big fat carrots, heads of lettuce, arrugula by the handful...well I'm freakin' delighted!

Josh's is only open on Sunday and he appears to be a great business man. He'll cut up some veggies for us to try and shout out the direction/location of other items so one and all can listen.

Plastic bags are available to bundle up your goodies but do bring your own bags or a box. Sometimes the check out lines, which there are about 5, are long but it's no big deal because you can strike up a conversation with anyone.

Customers are friendly and you feel good about buying healthier, cleaner foods and you are supporting the local economy not some corporation else where in the world. But do expect prices to be a little steeper than Publix but you are paying for quality and man oh man, you'll taste it!

And if you get a wee bit parched you can buy a smoothie at the smoothie stand on the other side of the market. Finally, you should get there early, Shannon P. is right, good stuff does go quickly and it's better to have a basket of tomatoes to choose from than 10.

Finally checked out this place today to see what the hype is. I was impressed for a Florida's Farmer Market, but nothing I would run back for. I guess if you only shop organic this is the place to be. I don't the prices are X4 times the amount. I saw grapes for $7.99 lb (organic) and publix today had grapes for $1.69 lb. I can't say I am willing to pay 6 times as much for organic grapes. There was a big selection most of the things they had they doubled in places to make it appear bigger. This was fun to check out as something to do. Not sure I would run back :)

    Josh's Organic Market is fantastic.
    LOVE IT.

The market is open every Sunday on Hollywood Beach. There is always a nice selection of quality produce. I usually find items that I haven't been able to find at Publix or Whole Foods. I especially enjoy the fresh vegetables and greens which are picked the night before.  You may pay a bit more on certain items, but it is definately worth it. The produce tastes much better and lasts longer than what you get at local supermarkets. There is also a fresh juice/smoothie bar.

Josh and his employees are very helpful and friendly. The lines to check out can fill up quickly, but I hear that he will be adding a few more registers soon. Credit Cards are not accepted, only cash or check.

Outstanding, you can smell fresh produce the minute you 'walk in', and its right on the beach so what better location could you find? Prices are not excessive for being organic and the selection is very good, not a single item was in bad condition. very well managed, relaxed atmosphere. Too bad it only opens on sundays.

This is the first review I've ever written, but this place certainly deserves the time and effort. To avoid wasting the reader's time I'll simply say that this place is the VERY BEST. I'm from NYC and have many organic options available year round, but everything else pales in comparison. As for the one not so great review, yes the juice bar doesn't have the best service, but who cares, it's totally worth the wait and there are tables so you can just hang out and wait to oh so long 5 minutes (at most).
Go to Josh's, you'll never be sorry and you''ll always come back.

I went to the juice bar last Sunday and I was very disappointed at their service. It was my second visit, but they take forever to make smoothies. I waited for 30 min. It's not worth it.  All the workers are very young & very slow... I think I can make better smoothies at home!! My husband and I decided we will not go back there again.

Stopped by yesterday after a long hiatus from any and all farmers markets. SO glad I did. Got an opportunity to chat with Josh, who mentioned that all of the excess produce at the end of the day is delivered to terminally ill children. Which just confirms my love for this place- feed your body and feed the community!

THE FRESHEST, TASTIEST, PRODUCE YOU'VE PROBABLY EVER PURCHASED

Open Sundays only--9am (?) to 5:31 pm on the Hollywood beach boardwalk at Hollywood Blvd. on the south side of the hotel complex.

My father was in the produce business for about 25 years after many years in the restaurant business. As a result, I've seen a lot of produce and a lot of produce vendors.  Josh's is consistently the tastiest produce I've ever eaten.  There's a little more variety than Whole Foods, less so than Glaser Farms in Coconut Grove. HOJosh way beats both in terms of price, taste, freshness, and time it stays good in the refrigerator.

Depending on the time of the year, a good portion (one quarter to one third) of the overall stuff is picked the day before on Saturday. Mostly the picked the day before stuff is various lettuces, leafy greens, sprouts, etc. The fruit is mostly shipped in, and I don't know how it can be, but Josh's fruit tastes much better than the shipped in stuff you find elsewhere.

I've never been there before 1pm (usually get there at 3pm); the selection is still awesome.

Much of the stuff is not marked "organic", but I trust it is--the certification process is cost-prohibitive for small farms. I read a quote from the owner that he hadn't eaten any chemicals in some long ago time (I can't remember the year). That's good enough for me.

Overall, worth the trip; believe me, I wouldn't drive from downtown Miami every Sunday if it weren't.

As for supermarkets, Publix absolutely purchases the best looking stuff. Sometimes, they will buy it in say, Jacksonville, but reject it when it gets to South Florida. Winn Dixie will buy that rejected produce. The rest of the markets (except for the high-end ones) go downhill from there (and that's why they're cheaper).

But looks are not everything. Publix's stuff looks awesome, but the taste is well, fair (especially if you try to eat it raw). If I had to rely on that beautiful, but mediocre produce that Publix sells, I could not be a vegetarian.

One word about parking:  Street parking on the beach is hard to come by at certain hours. There's a garage (and Josh's will stamp your ticket for a discount).  Better though, is the parking under the Hollywood Blvd. overpass--it always has spaces.

Market open on Sundays, nice selection of Organic Produce/Herbs. I have found it to be very  convenient for grabbing a few essentials for the week and some yummy fruity treats.  Get there early as some things don't last.  There are also smoothies/drinks made there too.  Everyone is helpful and friendly, just be patient because sometimes it can be crowded but your health is worth the wait- don't you think?

I feel lucky to live so close to this market, the best farmer's market I've ever been to. Josh is amazing! And all the produce is the freshest, because Josh gets it picked literally the night before. My favorite Sunday morning is jogging the Hollywood Broadwalk (a little over 4 miles) and ending up at Josh's for one of their fantastic smoothies, made with the ingredients of your choice.

This is not Cali so it's as good as it gets! I enjoy this place, I am there every Sunday. It's not too expensive, it's all organic, a lot of the produce is local. I am happy I found this place after searching forever in this Miami area (yes I know this is in Broward). I am really disappointed that Miami Dade or Broward county do not have a lot of Organic Markets to choose from. If they did then maybe the prices would be lower. This place is great, nothing negative coming from me!

Josh is totally cool and this place is awesome. I hit the juice bar twice in one day. The first time it took a long time, but hey, I had to chill out with a great view on the beach in Florida while I waited. I am not complaining. I also spent $75 on juice for two people but we basically fasted that afternoon on a 1/2 gallon of fresh organic vegetable juice, two smoothies and eight ounces of wheatgrass, so I guess that's a fair price. If you're into juicing, you know what I am talking about. I guess the juice bar is now open Sundays until 5:31pm and Mon-Thur 7pm-9pm.

The produce was awesome. Josh reported he grows 75% of what he offers. I don't disagree. I tried a few different things and they were all outstanding. Run, don't walk to Josh's

I LOVE THIS PLACE AND I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE HUGE, FRESH, CRISP LETTUCE.  OMGoodness.  I was there for 2 weeks and lived off the mangos and lettuce.  The salads sold at the juice bar are great with fresh mixed salad dressing-all natural, no preservatives---worth the wait.  Who cares if it takes a little while-look at the ocean people and enjoy God's wonders.  I am home now in PA and just finished the last salad from the lettuce I bought there and brought home with me.
