yessir joseph knows what he is doing. after my first haircut, i felt more knowledgeable than most of the hair stylists and places like gene juarez. I went out and bought all new products that are much better for my hair type. now all i do is go back to joseph every 4-5 weeks and use the right products and my hair looks amazing. i had a shaved head for years before and since i grew out my hair, i've gone to all of the nicer hair places in seattle and sf, and joseph has been by far the best. i have asian men's hair and he knows what that hair type needs, but he seems to be an encyclopedia of knowledge for all hair types as well.
I have been a regular customer for over 6 months and have always had great haircuts. As an asian male my hair grows quickly and is difficult to work with. Both Joseph and Jamal were able to work with my hair to create a consistently good look as it grows out. Best of all they don't just cut your hair the same length everywhere, like many other barbers. They give you a hair cut that compliments the shape of your head and face (or in my case hides the unevenness of my head). They give a haircut that is definitely worth the price.
I am glad that I finally found a personal barber (Joseph) who really understands men's, especially asian men's hair. It took only two hair cuts with Joseph for me to notice the atrocious job by my previous hair cutters. Not that those were careless. But regular hair cutting places are like McDonalds for men's hair. In comparison, Jordan's is your fine restaurant.
My barber, Joseph, taught me everything I wanted to know about hair and hair care. You are not going to get that level of professional service/advice from other hair cutters.
Joseph is also knowledgeable about many things. He has an interesting life. He's also very kind. You'll like him.
The place is in downtown Bellevue. It's cozy and clean. The clientile is quite diverse. Of course, all male.
A regular hair cut costs $35. It's worth every penny. I now visit Jordan's every three weeks. If I live in downtown Bellevue, I might even do that every two weeks, alternating between trimming and cutting.
You can park at the underground garage and have your parking ticket validated at the barber shop.

I've gone twice to this place.
Joseph cut my hair the first time, for $35. He also schooled me thoroughly on how hair works and how to take care of it. He even gave me some guidance on how I could cut it myself (my ultimate goal), which I really appreciated. I left the place fairly satisfied with a new 'do and much better knowledge of hair.
A few weeks later, I went back for a trim. I thought I had made an appointment with Joseph, but only Jamal was there. I asked for a trim and he gave me a haircut and charged me for a haircut. To be fair, maybe he misheard me; plus I was late and he rushed it a bit. Again, haircut was not bad, but clearly not a 5-star.
