Our experience at The Jones Victorian Estate, was unlike anything I have ever experienced.  Michelle and her staff go above and beyond to make your wedding unique and amazingly special.  Michelle's attention to Detail and creativeness, helps you think outside the box, and adds those special touches.  She really knows what she is doing!  She was there when ever I needed to call, email, or stop by.  She helps make you, as the bride, feel so at ease and calm.  Knowing that my wedding was in her hands, was the best feeling ever.  Even when it rained till and HOUR before the wedding, was Michelle able to keep me, a worry wort, at ease!!!  She was right, it all turned out perfect!!!  Michelle's packages at The Jones, are all enclusive, and then some!  Her food is out of this world.  I never got to meet her chef, but my hats off to him!  Everyone complimented our food and the choices that were made. At your food tasting, and I use "Tasting" lightly, you get a feast!  A full 3 course meal!!! I particularly loved being able to invite guests along with us to our tasting, it helped with the decision making!  I loved being able to eat my wedding food TWICE!! And yes, we did eat on our wedding day!  Michelle and her staff made sure of that!

Her DJ., is so sweet and was incredibly flexible with his meeting times. He was open to anything that we wanted to be apart of our day and even helped us fix the music for our first dance!  He speaks very well, and I love that he went around to our guests and introduced himself and opened up any requests that they may have for the dancing.  I got positive feed back from our guests, and that made them feel like they were an active part in our day!

Her Florist, Flower Allie does amazing flowers.  She knew exactly what I wanted from a few, (OK a few dozen) pictures, that I brought to our meeting.  Michelle attended all our meetings with the florist.  Allie at Flower Allie, came through with everything we had talked about!!  Her flowers were more than I had even envisioned!  My flowers were one of my favorite parts.

Her baker was nice.  She was fun to talk to at the tasting.  Our cake was nice, but it was not the color I had wanted and was adorned with flowers, but not the ones that I had hoped.  We chose to have a small 2 tier cake and then cupcakes.  From what we heard from our guests the cupcakes were good.  We didn't get to enjoy one at our wedding.

I had Wedding Dress delimma, and Michelle was there with me, just 2 weeks before my wedding, making sure I found another dress.  She had referred me to Marry Me Bridal, and I thank her for that!  They were amazing!

Michelle's kindness, supportiveness and generosity, go beyond words!!  SHe makes you feel like you have known here for ever! She is the kind of person that you NEVER want to lose touch with. She still, is there when I email or call just to say HI!  She will forever hold a spot in my heart!!!!!

Our Gratitude cannot be expressed enough!

Oh my gracious, here do I start?  Can I give 6 stars?  My husband and I were married at the Jones Victorian Estate in April 2011 and had the most beautiful, cozy, elegant, and worry free wedding.  It was a spectacular day, and so many of our guests have told us how fun and beautiful everything was.  I could not have hoped for a more idyllic wedding day! Booking this venue was the best decision we could have made.  We had several people say that it was the best wedding they have ever been to!  All of this would never have been possible without Michelle Gregory and her amazing team.  The service staff, the DJ, the flowers, the valet, the cake- all absolute perfection.  I saw one negative review on here, and I can't possibly imagine anyone not loving Michelle and the JVE.  She was so supportive throughout the entire 8 months leading up to our wedding day.  From the day we first met her, she put us at ease.  She met every vendor with us, answered every question, returned every call and e-mail promptly, guided us through the whole process, and melted away all the stress that wedding planning can bring. As a bride, you cannot put a price tag on that.  The best part is that the coordination is part of the package when you get married there!  We were also on a very strict budget, and Michelle worked with us to make everything beautiful without exceeding that budget. We feel so blessed to have found JVE, and it will be forever a special place and memory in our hearts. It felt as though a loving family member allowed us to have our wedding at their beautiful estate!  It is as far away from a bland ballroom as you can get. If you want a private, elegant and unique wedding you need to look at the estate and meet Michelle!

I had the worst experience possible. I am the groom of the wedding and through out the entire process was alienated. If I had something to say about details I was told a couple times from the owner that it was the brides day. The coordinator is the owner and shes "IN CHARGE" as she rudely told me over a phone message.

When the decided to bring in a new ceremony spot on their grounds, which would make set up much easier for them, they wanted to charge an extra $750 for nothing. When we asked them to break down the cost so we could understand the reason for it things got very nasty. We were told we should be grateful for having our event there and that their location is one of a kind. And once again was told that the coordinator is the one in charge, We really didn't have much say.

You will have little to no control over your wedding at this location. They offered us our money back and after being treated with such disrespect we took it. This place will tell you how they are the greats thing on the planet but beware they are very very very unprofessional. I would never recommend having a wedding at this venue.

Like Krys, I too got married at the Jones. Just a few weeks ago, in fact. Actually, I'm the sister-in-law she mentioned in her review.

In a world that's full of lots of bland, boring ballrooms, the Jones Estate is an amazing find. It's such a lush and lovely outdoor venue and really pretty reasonable when you compare it to a lot of the other wedding venues in Orange County.

When I began thinking about prospective wedding locations, JVE instantly came to mind. Having been the maid of honor in my brother and sister-in-law's wedding there, I already knew firsthand just how beautiful a wedding at JVE could be. And I also knew how amazing Michelle was when it came to taking care of every last detail.

i think I knew all along we'd wind up having our wedding at JVE. But since I wanted my fiance to feel like he had a say in the decision, we did our due diligence and visited ten different venues altogether, with price tags ranging from a little less than JVE to nearly double the price. We saw two museums, two restaurants, one historical building, one hotel, two estates and two event venues. While some of the other places we considered were nice, JVE just stood out.

When you have your wedding at JVE, you feel like you're the only bride Michelle is working with. A consummate professional who's planned countless weddings, she's available throughout the planning process  to assist in any way she can. She's extremely knowledgeable and a great resource who's always willing to answer questions, offer advice or reassure you.

In some of the locations we looked at, you're lucky if you have someone to help you out the day of the wedding, much less in the months leading up to it. Not so with Michelle. She patiently attends florist appointments and cake tastings with you (even rolling up her sleeves and going in the kitchen herself to play around with the frosting to try to help you find just the right design). And then there's the private tasting dinner Krys spoke of, which is such a treat.

Another great thing about having your wedding at JVE is that the estate only does one wedding a weekend, which is practically unheard of in this industry. Unlike some hotels and other venues that are like virtual wedding factories, you don't have to worry that your event will get lost in the shuffle or that you'll run into another bride the day of your wedding. Not only that, you can bring your dress, favors, programs and whatever else and drop them off at the estate starting the Monday before your event. Such a huge help when it comes to making things easier the day of.

Although wedding planning was certainly stressful at times, having our wedding at JVE gave me total peace of mind. I knew it was going to be just beautiful and that Michelle would deftly handle any little thing that came up. That being said, JVE exceeded all my expectations. All day long, I couldn't stop smiling and I just kept commenting how perfect everything was. Of course, that might have also been due to the fact that I was marrying an amazing guy that I'm deliriously in love with.

Still, so many of our guests said commented on what an amazing venue JVE was and how perfect everything was, right down to the last detail. Including my mother-in-law, who's not always the easiest person to impress.

So if you're looking for the perfect wedding venue in Orange County, call Michelle at the Jones Victorian Estate. You'll be so glad you did!

First off, I can guarantee the groom who complained comment's is entirely useless based on our experience.  I am not good at writing so this review is going to be a "watered down" version.

The Jones Victoria Estate is an adorable house nestled in next to a little hill in a residential area. I always knew something existed there as my husband (then boyfriend/fiance at the time) lived just on the other side. My mother introduced me to Michelle once I finally got engaged. YES...the first time my mom brought it up to me I seriously rejected the idea but my mom kept pushing and said she would pay for it, so what the heck, free coordinator compliments of mom, right? I finally agreed to meet Michelle. WHOA!

My first impressions Michelle: sweet, knowledgeable, caring, experienced, talented, creative, thrifty, open-minded, giving, etc. I knew at that point that I was right that I did not want a coordinator but more so NEEDED MICHELLE specifically and NO ONE ELSE. Sold!

We met a couple of times before the wedding and she was always so attentive, professional and just plain perfect! Anytime I needed anything she was there and readily available.

The day before the wedding she spent all day decorating, coordinating and keeping me on my toes about final things to do. YES! I can be very mean and harsh at times but she totally worked with me and my personality. AMAZING! She is a "walking everything" too! Fiance was severely sick with literally a running nose (no joke he was leaning over the bathroom sink and straight liquid was pouring out) and she gave him some medicine. I bet if she was on "Let's make a Deal" she would win at the end when the host asks for if anyone has .... as she was prepared for the world!

The day off the wedding - she was there and was 100% all wedding. Everyone, and I mean everyone, loved her. She was so subtle and was at a million places at one time but still in all one piece. Impossible for any average human :-)

HONESTLY, I could not have done it without Michelle and I would recommend anyone and everyone who is looking for a wedding venue and coordinator to the Jones Victorian Estate. I truly feel forever indebted to Michelle and wish her and her fabulous estate all the best.

    Most sincerely,
    Tiffany Garbis

The Jones Estate is a beautiful place to get married for an outdoor wedding. I got married here about 3 weeks ago. They have in house vendors for food, flowers, cake, and DJ.

Michelle the coordinator is an excellent resource and your number one cheerleader. She helps you through your planning and will brainstorm with you to fine tune all the little details. She is a shining star at the Jones Estate.

Here is a breakdown of how I rated it:
Setting (Five Stars!): The house, the driveway, the backyard, it is all gorgeous. They used to have a swing, but sadly it broke before our wedding. They say you can fit 200 in here, you probably can, but you will be sardines. I had 175. I think ideally a smaller sized wedding would fit this venue better about 130-150 is what I would do max here.

Food ( Two stars): They ran out of food at our wedding. I didn't find out until my sister told me when I got back from our honeymoon (thank god, it didn't ruin my honeymoon). I was mortified, I gave them a huge fat check, and some of our guests ate salad and asparagus that night, I was and am still embarrassed. The food it self was okay. A little dry here, a little salty here, it was your average basic wedding food.

Cake (Four stars): This was very good, moist, decorated the way I wanted and overall nice.

Flowers (Four stars): Flower Allie is great, she is aggressive, but great. The flowers were gorgeous, my arch was beautiful and a show stopper. The centerpieces were a little smaller than I wanted, but still nice. My bouquet was awesome as were the bridesmaids.

DJ (Three stars): He had laryngitis and was not able to do anything but push the buttons to play the music. Even with that, he didn't do that great of a job. He started the night playing old 60s music, and continued to play this until one of my husband's coworkers asked him to play the music we requested. How hard is it to push buttons?

Overall: I would probably give it more stars if they hadn't ran out of food at the wedding and the DJ hadn't lost his voice, about 3.5-4 stars.

Michelle the coordinator (did I tell you she was excellent?) really makes the day go smoothly and I was happy with the other vendors. A beautiful place for a smaller outdoor wedding.

If there were 6 stars, I'd add one on.

My husband and I were married at the Jones Victorian Estate in August, 2000, and my sister-in-law got married there yesterday.  Both events went off without a hitch, and were truly unforgettable in every way.

The Estate (JVE as we say) is owned and managed by Michelle Gregory and her family, and it has been in Michelle's family for many generations.  The house on the property is an 1881 classic Victorian home with beautifully kept gardens, lagoon and other areas perfect for weddings and photos.

JVE itself - the venue and surroundings - are extraordinary, but what really makes this place special and over-the-top is the service provided by Michelle (especially) and her team.   Michelle serves as your wedding manager and coordinator, driving your planning time line and making sure you're where you should be (purchasing dresses, bridesmaids' outfits, renting limos, doing invitations, cake tasting, etc.)  She is of course there on your big day as well to manage every aspect (and I mean EVERY aspect) with kindness and care and she always has your back.

Have an uncouth uncle who gets a little tipsy? Get Michelle in on it beforehand and the team will keep tabs on him. Have a high-maintenance mother-of-the-groom who needs some extra attention? Done.  Anything you miss, anything you have questions about, anything you worry about, is immediately addressed and managed by Michelle.  I'm pretty sure I handed her 10-15 different things yesterday as the maid of honor at the wedding and just said "can you hold these?" and she did, and returned them for me every time, as if she'd read my mind.

I cannot say enough about this place and my family's deep connection to it and to Michelle.  You can go and have your wedding at the beach or at some fancy hotel but why the heck would you?  The place is just gorgeous, tucked out of the way in a small neighborhood in the City of Orange, but how can you put a price tag on a place that comes with someone like Michelle?

Couple of things you should know:
    - There's a curfew in Orange in the neighborhood for 8:30 p.m., so everyone leaves by 9:30.  If you think about it, this is great.  No really late night with drunk drivers from your wedding, and if it's on a Sunday, like the one yesterday, everyone gets home in time to prep for work the next day.  Qualms? Start your wedding earlier like at 2, and it ends up being just the right amount of time.
    - Everything is included with the wedding package - cake, flowers, linens, DJ, string trio for the service, UH-mazing food (no, really) etc. except for alcohol, you bring that in yourself since the JVE doesn't hold a liquor license.  Only beer, wine and champagne can be brought in.  Also great if you think about it, since people who drink a lot of hard alcohol get sloppy quickly.  AND, you pay for the wine, beer and champagne, so you can search for deals.  There is no corking fee.  Serving your guests is part of what they do.
    - There's plenty of FREE valet parking on-site. Love it.
    - Prior to the wedding, Michelle will host a tasting dinner with the bride and groom and 4 additional guests of your choosing.  Taste appetizers, main courses, salads, etc.  Yum-meh. Bring your appetite.
    - Beautiful, well-kept, comfortable groom's and bride's room for on-site prep on the day-of.  Michelle also serves "tea time" sandwiches before the wedding and arrival of the photographer.  Love it.
    - Michelle does ONE WEDDING PER WEEK. That's right, folks. You'll feel like the only bride on the planet, and never worry about being rushed out to accommodate another bride or worse yet, see anyone else in their wedding dress on YOUR wedding day. That is worth some $$ right there.

I cannot say enough good things about this place.  Put it on your list, to visit if you're looking for a venue and you will not need to go any further...

    Tell Michelle I sent you.

I was in a wedding at the Jones last weekend and I must say that everything was perfect! Michelle is a gem and I found it remarkable that she was so sincere and so enthusiastic event though she does this day in and day out.  My friend (bride) was so low maintenance and Michelle guided her every step of the way, giving her all the options within her budget and allowing her to make the decisions. The grounds were beautiful, the service was terrific, and the food was good - pretty typical wedding fare. I would highly recommend considering this venue if you're on a budget ad/or if you want someone to help coordinate every aspect of your day - from start to finish. Thanks, Michelle, for making my friend's day so perfect.

I attended by niece's wedding at the Jones Victorian Estate last weekend.  I was so pleased with the day!  It was so special.  Michelle did a great job of making things work so well.  It was nice to see the bride and my sister (mother of the bride) so relaxed and not worrying about the details!  I loved it!  Flowers were beautiful, cake yummy, service grand and the setting was so enchanting and elegant!

    Where do I even begin.....
I (the bride) stumbled upon the Jones Estate website during my hunt for the perfect venue. It looked like a gorgeous venue from the pictures online. But when you visit this place in person, get ready to be blown away, not only by the beauty and uniqueness of the estate, but also by Michelle Gregory, the coordinator/owner. I knew from the moment I stepped out of my car, that this IS the place. Michelle greeted me, my then-fiance, and my parents, as if we had known each other for years. She basically ran through the whole day with us, so it made it easy to visualize how the day would flow. There was not one thing I questioned about this place after the appointment. My then-fiancé and I had already visited about 7 different venues prior to the Jones Estate, and we always found a flaw in each venue. But not at the Jones Estate! The entire planning process, including Michelle's ideas and suggestions, as well as the florist's (Flower Allie), was such a fun experience. She always made sure my then-fiance was happy with each decision that was made.  Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a control freak, but Michelle help me stay sane during the planning process by making it fun. The amount of time and effort she spent with us was so appreciated. She is genuinely concerned, and you can really feel that. She knows exactly what makes a great wedding day, and she truly just wants the bride and groom to have fun. Her attention to detail is like no other. She was born to do this, and to do this at a venue like the Jones Estate, is just perfection in itself. One would think that the cost might be over most couples' budget, considering how much you get.  But you really do get more bang for your buck! Honest to God!
We were married on May 16, 2009, and 1 year later we are still getting compliments of how wonderful our wedding day was, and how awesome Michelle was! How often do wedding guests remember and compliment the wedding coordinator?! Only MICHELLE!!!!

If you are a fan of small intimate weddings, then I suggest having your wedding here at the Jones Victorian Estate. A friend of mine got married there on October 17, 2009 and it was a beautiful backdrop for such a joyous occasion. My favorite part of the property was the driveway, that's right, it actually serves purpose as one because you enter the gates and drive through arches of leaves that welcome you into an already romantic setting. I was also impressed that there was valet service and didn't have to walk far to the back of the house for the ceremony. Most of the pictures I took had me look twice since I almost forgot I was in Southern California due to the elegance of the Victorian inspired home. It was as if I was in the east coast or something;) The estate was surrounded by trees and greenery to provide the much needed shade on a hot and sunny day (it was almost 90 degrees in October).  I did take one star off for the food because it was oven roasted chicken that was "A-OK." The restroom was clean, two were available: one near the reception area in a separate part of the house, and the other at the back of the house with a clearly marked sign. So if you ever plan to have an outside wedding without the worry of too many outside costs, then consider the Jones Victorian Estate. Your pictures and memories will come out beautiful!
