"BEST IRISH BAR I HAVE BEEN TO IN SAN FRANCISCO!! I found out about this place on yelp and was pleased to see this awesome Irish band…" read more »
So..heres the deal. The wifey and I went to the comedy night last Saturday here. It was worth the donation, trust me, these guys rock.
They also boast the most curious of beverage stands/concession stands--a can of PBR anyone? Some Pinot in a plastic cup? C'mon folks! Dare you resist?
We all need to support these brave venues especially in such serious times as these, so read my review already and get on with it. Easily accessible and affordable, strange (in a good way) art on the walls by local artists, and laugh-out-loud (mm, sorry LOL) queer comedy.
p.s Some things overheard whilst waiting for the show to begin:
Lesbian in front of me turn to lesbian beside her:
"Do you have an Aries moon too?
"No, I think mines is in Sagitarius."
"Oh, " looking unimpressed, "thats rough,...thats a hard moon to have"
---------------
C'mon people, no matter what sign your moon is in, you need to support this venue.

Awesome grassroots theatre venue, encouraging theatrical projects from the LGBT community! Rental prices for the different studios are super reasonable.
I managed an Asian American Theatre Festival here last November. They also held a Ball here (Shadefest) which was sooo off tha hook!
they're always in need of volunteers and donations (financial and supplies)... so go donate!
The space may be small and located in a questionable area, but at Jon Sims, it's all worth it b/c you'll never be dissappointed. This is the place to see progressive, thought-inducing artistic endeavors. And no one's ever turned away for lack of funds.
