I've actually forgotten about this spot. Do any of you remember when they tried to open a restaurant behind the Greyhound? Anyhow, this spot is the bomb. Get the ribs or chicken. CASH ONLY PEOPLE!!

Damn. I'm full.
A couple of nights ago at around 11pm, I was laying in bed with the lady and I flipped the TV to the Food Network. Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives was on. The episode highlighted Memphis bbq spots. I was already hungry since I came back from playing a hockey game, but it was too late for me to eat, so I went to bed with a grumbly in my tumbly. Fast forward to the next night, and again, after another hockey game this one taking place at 11:30pm and by this time it was 1:30 in the morning, I was hungry and was getting ready for bed. The same goddamn show was on. Since then, I've been hankering for some bbq and, boy, did i get some.
I've passed this place a gazillion times, but it was always closed when I passed it. Now that I drive past it coming to work, I've seen it open and decided today was the day to give it a go. I ordered the chicken lunch which cost me $7.04 (taxes included). The chicken was tender and delicious. The bbq sauce was nice, but if it were up to me, I'd make it spicier. No biggie. The potato salad, beans and white bread were a nice compliment.
I would've ordered the ribs but I'm working on some board of directors documents that don't need bbq sauce all over them. I'm coming back to try the ribs fa sho sho.

Finger lickin' goodness from a shack. Drove right by the first time so gotta use the mobile home park as a landmark.
I got the #12, tri tip, hot link, and chicken. The tri tip was especially good, the link could be hotter, and the chicken a little more juicy. The potato salad was also delicious and wished I had two of those and skip the beans.
And, you will smell like BBQ when you get back to the office.

THEEEEEE BEST roadside bbq EVER! We stopped on by on our way home from Happy Hollow since my mouth was watering for their delicious beans. They are absolutely da bomb! I always get their #11: ribs, tri-tip, and chicken together with two slices of bread, a side of potato salad, and my all time favorite baked beans.
The meat is tender, saucy, and cook to perfection. The potato salad is also good and the baked beans are sweet. I craved for their beans when I was pregnant and I still do and my son is nearly a year old!
A must try spot for sure!

July 2nd:
visited actual restaurant ... or should i say a portable modular...
Smells pretty funky walking toward the place but then you get engulfed by haze of BBQ smell as you turn at the corner.
Really big portion. Cheap.
I like their fatty potato salad and diuretic sweet chili.
Meat was kinda dry.
I won't return but will have my co-workers pick up food for me.
=)

Tried my co-worker's togo food.
It was AWESOME!!!

My favorite BBQ place. I love, love the sauce. I usually don't like whole in the wall places but this one is so good and worth it. I like the salad and beans on the side and the two slices of bread to soak up all the wonderful sauce. You will smell like BBQ after you leave here but whats not to love about the smell of BBQ. Parking is a little rough so the earlier you can get there the better.

Yummies I just got back from here and I still smell like the BBQ! I got the tri tip, chicken and hot links....ALL GOOD! The potato salad is best I've had so far. The baked beans were OK........I was kind of disappointed because their menu said they had collard greens but there was none :(......The sauce is pretty darn good...I also added the hot sauce and it was a good combination...Place is straight up ghetto and it looks like your eating in someones kitchen but who care its damn good! lol
I've lived in this area for a s long as I can remember... and I used to always just pass this spot. So a couple years ago I figured I needed to check it out. My usual order is #4 or # 11 (depending on how hungry I am - posted a pic of my #11). The food comes fast, the prices are great and I gotta say that I love the sides. The potato salad has good potato chunks & is a little tangy... the beans are sweet & savory... in my opinion a perfect pair to go with any of the "Q" at Jon-Jon's.
Overall:
BQ Sauce - (sweet & tangy with a little kick) - excellent
Tri-Tip - (tender) - excellent
Ribs - (meaty) - good
Chicken - (juicy, not dry) - very good
Potato Salad - excellent
Beans - very good
Recommendation???
YES! if you got a craving for some good BBQ.. swing by & eat up!
"T.T. BBQ" is the name we give this place, meaning Trailer Trash. If you have ever been here, I am sure you notice that it is located directly next to the trailer park.
Some friends at work initially discovered this place by word of mouth. And just to let you know, we work in Fremont... so it is a bit of a drive for us to do at lunch... but it is worth it. If you are looking for good and cheap BBQ, and don't care about the atmosphere... then BCC Enterprises is a solid choice.
If you have already read some of the reviews on here, you should be familiar with the protocol. Make sure you grab a menu when you walk into the trailer, and then get a spot in line. You will only have a few minutes to look over to 15 or so combo meals, so make sure you don't get distracted by the TV (which is always playing Judge Judy or People's Court). There is very large print on the menu that states "No Substitutions", and they will not be happy if you try to disobey the rule. After paying the lady $9.20 or so you wait in another line with your order form. All she will ask is what type of bread to you want. After getting your food, you will head outside and get your drink from one of three vending machines, costing another $1.50.
As for the food, everything is pretty good. Both the hotlink and the polish are great for sausage fans, although the hotlink is very hot and spicy. The tri tip is my favorite as I make sure to order it every time. As for the ribs and chicken, it could be hit or miss. I would say that 80% of the time both of these are good, but the other times it might be overcooked or too dry. Overall, for the speed, cost, and quality of food, TT BBQ is a must for any BBQ fan.
Great find!
I had a lunch plate to go ($9 after tax)- Tri-tip, ribs and a hot link sausage. All were very good, fresh and came with fantastic sides (potato salad and beans). You'll know the spot when you drive by, as there is a giant barbeque pit out front and the smoke can be seen from quite a ways back. Definitely adding this place to the rotation.

This is the kind of place I love to go. It's just a small roadside stand with some picnic tables outside. I would never have noticed it unless I was specifically looking for it.
This place is no frills decor with good food. I ordered the #11, 2 ribs and a hot link. Overall the ribs were pretty good. The hot sauce was a little sweet for my tastes and didn't have that deep smokey flavor I think of when I think of BBQ. The hot link was a bit on the bland side.
I was hoping for a spicy BBQ sauce and a really hot, mouth on fire, hot link.
But overall this place fit the bill when some friends and I were in the mood for BBQ.
I'll definitely go back to this place.
I drive by this place twice a day on my way to and from work. For years I thought it funny that these crazy people were outside running a BBQ at all times during the year. Then one day my boss wanted to head over there for a pulled pork sammich. Not one to turn down food, I went.
The experience is interesting. The cashier sits there as you walk in and you get about 30 seconds, so know what you're feeling like! On the day we went, they were out of the pulled pork sammich at 11:45 am. So I'm guessing its good, but I never found out.
We ordered the tri-tip sammich and there wasn't much tri-tip. For a $9+ sammich, it better have some meat and there was pitifully little. It also didn't come with a side and you had to get your own drink as well from the vending machine.
KLASSEEEEE! That's classy with a 'k' and 5 e's.

Bring $10.50 ~CASH~ with you when you come to GHETTO BBQ. $9 for the grub, $1.50 to get your drank from the vending machines outside.
This place is a hidden gem. For $9 you get 3 pcs total (choice of ribs, chicken, hot link, polish dog, or tri-tip) and two sides (baked beans and potatoes. ) The ribs are slow cooked then transferred to another smoker that looks like it is higher in heat. Friggin' bomb. We sat by the smoker so we could come back to work smelling like bbq.
Didn't save room for any dessert, they got peach cobbler or sweet potato pie.

So what if they been locked up etc? If they making a decent living and paying taxes then so be it. You werent thinking that when you were eating that food!
This place is the best BBQ joints I ever been to! You definenlty get a bang for your buck! Do not wear white! and plan on going home after! You will make a mess and smell like smoke, but hey thats what happends at family BBQ's at the park right? Good Stuff!!

I read a comment that they call this place "criminal bbq" we had our own name, we called it Blackman's BBQ because we never knew what the name was!
Their bbq is pretty dayam good. I go there as often as I can. I'm a big BBQ lover and this place has some of the best I've tried.
At 8 dollars a plate you get a pretty good filling. The portions may not look like a lot but trust me after eating a plate your pretty full!
Best place to eat is outside so you can watch them cook the bbq.
One thing to be wary of when you eat outside, you'll smell like BBQ when you go back to work.
Highly recommended!
BBQ Ribs, Tri Tip, Hot Links, Polish Dogs, BBQ chicken.. try them all it's well worth your money!

WOW-- lemme tell you... the 100 degree heat today didn't faze anyone eating at this place... but as for me, I took it to go so that I could enjoy it back at work with AC. Haha. This place was CRACKIN' when we came here for lunch.
I have to comment on the ordering system. It's VERY unorganized. When you pay, they write out your orders on one of those old-school order notepads (that has carbon copy), then they rip out the original receipt, which you then hand to one of the two ladies at the food counter so they can box up your order. You don't get a copy nor one of those little number tabs that correspond to the receipt. Now, this isn't a problem if it isn't busy, HOWEVER-- on a busy day... for example, during the lunch rush... and on a FRIDAY, no less... this led to a lot of confusion as multiple people came to pick up their orders, and NO ONE knew whose order was WHOSE. It also happened to affect MY order because I noticed that I was missing a side of potato salad and beans that was supposed to come with the hot link lunch combo. As I went to the counter to ask for my missing sides, she asked a lot of questions that made it seem like she didn't believe me. That kinda ticked me off like OK WTH, I was just HERE... I JUST paid for my food, and YOU took my receipt so now I have nothing to prove my innocence. Luckily, the other lady remembered me and took the responsibility for her error. But seriously though, do you REALLY think I would LIE about a couple of measly sides. Come on.
OK. I'm done ranting about that.
Anyway, onto the food. I ordered the #10 which came with 1 Polish, 1 rib, and tri-tip. My friend ordered the #4 which had 2 ribs and 1 chicken drumstick. I tried a bit of her chicken and it was dry. From what I heard from my co-worker, the hot link is extremely SPICY. My polish sausage was hard, as though they were pre-cooked and just reheated on the grill. The tri-tip was OK, but I didn't think it as was good or tender as some other reviewers experienced. So basically the ribs were the best out of everything we ordered. The potato salad was also VERY good, definitely not that store bought "San Francisco Potato Salad". Not quite sure if the baked beans are homemade but I could be wrong.
I'd come back here again though because of the proximity of it to work and relatively 'cheap' eats (for BBQ, anyway). Hopefully someone reads my review and comes up with a better ordering system. 3 stars for now, based on this experience with the food.

It was along while until I was able to finally eat here. I always passed by it while making deliveries for my work, and although I lived only down the street from it, It was a few years until I finally ate there. They use to be open until three o'clock p.m. on weekdays only and I never got out of work early enough to go. One day I had to leave early and the first thing I did was go straight to Jon Jons. That was about 4 years ago and now I am hooked. They have since changed their hours so that they are open until 8p.m. and that is much more to my liking.
I have been to many BBQ joints in and out of the area, and by far, this is one of my favorites. For me it is all about the Rib lunch meal. I used to get the Ribs and chicken, which is good, but I love Ribs, so now I just get the Rib Lunch. It is not on the $8.50 numbered combo lunch combo section, you have to turn the menu over and it is on the other side. It consist of 3 ribs (sometimes 4 or so, if they are being generous), a and two sides, very small portions of Potato Salad and Baked Beans. I personally love sweet baked beans, and these do not disappoint. I smother the beans on the two pieces of bread that they give you along with the meal. In my opinion, their potato salad is so far the best I have had, minus a few friends home made recipes, and is in fact their own recipe. I like to order a large on the side of it, which is actually 3 more cups of the salad. It is more on the Mustard side and mashed rather than chunks like what so many other businesses serve.
One thing that makes this place stand out is the size of their ribs. They are huge pork ribs. If you have ever had a butcher give you the number 4 ribs, than you know what I am talking about. I was unsure the first time I bought them, because it was only 3 in the meal, but after I could hardly finish them, and I can usually eat a lot of ribs, I understood why. Two ribs from Jon Jons probably have more meat on them than a full slab from Armadillo Willys(which fails in comparison to Jon Jons) or Little Lous BBQ (Which I also like).
As for their other items, I have had a few but I love the Ribs. The Pulled Pork and the Tri-Tip are good, but it seems like the portion is lacking. I think it is the fact that they are served on a roll and that affects the amount that can be stacked on there. If you arrive too late in the day, they may be out of almost everything but Hot Links and polish sausage. They are both good, but be warned, the Hot links are HOT.
The employees are very nice, but the service can be both a rush, or a long wait, depending if they are waiting for more food to cook. If they are stocked full, then it is pretty quick, I mean less than a minute quick.
This is the place to be, and yes, like many people are saying, if you eat there outside, you will smell of BBQ, and the only drinks are in vending machines.
I make it a point to eat there almost every week.

It's hella good. Good ol' fashioned BBQ. This place use to be by my work and it's off the hook at lunch. Don't be scurred though, it's definitely good grub.
I can always go back there. Definitely not a place to take a date, it's like a trailer / old gas station / bbq joint to get yo' grub on.
I'll always go back. The beans and potato salad is good. The HOT links will make you sweat.
Prison BBQ works for me.
For under $10 I can get a combo with tri tip, a link, and some chicken (or ribs or whatever I'm in the mood for). Sides and bread included. For what it is, it's an excellent deal.
I'm not a huge BBQ fan but every once in a while I crave it.
Don't eat there, the grill smoke gets in your hair and clothes which is not cool once you get back to the office. Take the ribs back to work and eat outside at your nice quiet picnic table, or take 'em home, or just take them far away from the joint where you bought 'em.
Park on the street.
BRING CASH.

BBQ as good as it gets in the South Bay!
The ribs lunch for $8 (2/24/08) includes a good portion of ribs, the potato salad is tasty, and the beans are flavorfull! The sauce is a nice blend of sweet and tangy.
Atmosphere is nil. I always get mine to go. If you like BBQ you should definitely try this place.

So one day I offer to take my dad to lunch, and I said he could pick the place. Usually the places he likes to eat are a little shady to me, but for once he took me to the right place. I had never driven down that part of 13th, usually i go the other way, so i had never noticed the pits out there.
At first I see the place, and say to myself "Oh great, he's taking me to another hole in the wall." I was wrong. Sure the building is a little warn, but dont let the looks intimidate you. They have great food, the price wasn't bad for what you get either. I had the BBQ ribs, and the sauce they use is just fantastic. Unlike any sauce i've ever had on ribs.
They get 4 stars from me, because I was hoping to get some nice garlic bread or something, but instead they give you 2 slices of regular loaf bread. Kind of dissappointing, also the portions of potato salada and beans could be a little bigger.
Also, be sure to bring either some change for the soda machine or your own drinks. all they have for beverages is 3 Coke vending machines outside.
All in all, a good place, and I will be eating here again soon.
I came here tonight to pick up some dinner for the family. Some nights you just don't want to cook you know? I was initially going to order the family meal, but at the last minute opted to get the chicken, ribs, and hot link dinner and the tri tip and ribs dinner. $15 a meal seemed a little bit excessive when I was ordering especially since this place is kind of a hole in the wall bbq joint. I took our food to go because sitting at their tables as smoke drifts over you from the bbq, and watching the cars whiz by Old Oakland is not my idea of a relaxing meal. I was amazed when I got home and opened up the to go box, $15 will buy you a lot of food from this place! The chicken, ribs, and hot link combo came with 2 drumsticks, 2 thigh pieces, 4 ribs, one large hot link, a small order of baked beans, a small order of potato sald, and 2 slices of wonder bread (more than enough for 2 people to share, maybe even 3). And the hot link, wooo was it hot...speeecy spiiicy indeed! The Tri Tip combo was smaller but the portion was still very big, the tri tip was sliced thin and was very moist and tender. All of the bbq tasted great to me the meats were all moist and juicy, the bbq sauce was excellent and had a nice balance of sweet and tangy. The portions of the baked beans and potato salad are quite small so next time I'll probably order extras, and I'm definitely going to get some peach cobbler next time-diet be damned. It's true this bare bones hole in the wall doesn't have a lot of ambience, but come for the bbq anyways and you won't be disappointed.

I had the ribs and a hot link. I would eat there again if I really wanted BBQ.
Customer service is extremely important to me. Theirs was poor
I'm surprised there are so few Yelpers who have eaten here. This place is the definition of a hole in the wall as said before. I love the BBQ meats here - chicken, sausage, tri-tip, ribs - all good!
You even get a wet-nap when you're done.
Literally middle of nowhere BBQ goodness. The lunch deals aren't bad and they give you a lot of meat. It is cash only so you need to remember to have money on hand (and drinks are only available via vending machines outside $1.50 for a drink). The ribs are really good (best I've ever had) and the BBQ sauce is amazing. It's not too sweet and has a really pleasant tang to it. The potato salad has a little mustard in it to make it interesting but not enough for it to be overbearing, additionally, the beans are good too. Very, very nice.
This BBQ joint is in a really interesting location. There's no other restaurants around. But for some reason as my friends and I were sitting outside, I noticed more than normal big rig/construction truck traffic. Considering how out there this place is, it does get a lot of foot traffic. We arrived around 12pm and found ourselves a seat. There was only about 2 people ahead of us in line and the food came out pretty damn quick. This place wasn't super packed but all the tables were taken...there were people in and out of the place but no crazy lines or anything! :)
I ordered #11 ($9 with tax) - 2 ribs, 2 tri tip slices and 1 chicken leg with a side of potato salad, beans and 2 slices of white bread. I loved all my meat choices, they were moist and tender! All the meats were topped with their BBQ sauce, which I thought was pretty good but could have had a little more of a smokey taste to it. I didn't care too much for their baked beans because it was a bit too sweet for me. I know baked beans are suppose to taste that way but I felt like it was too overly sweetened or something. But their potato salad was ooooooh soo damn yummmmy!! I wish I ordered extra on the side :P I can't really pinpoint the taste but it def hits the spot. Luckily this place is fairly close to work and it's a great deal so I'll be for sure coming here to get my bbq fix! Next time I'll be either eating inside or taking the food to go though so I don't stink like a ball of bbq smoke when I head back to the office. It really sticks to your hair and clothes all day lol

Once you've had Everett and Jones BBQ in Oakland, everything else tastes like Jon-Jons. Bland, cheap charcol flavored tough and chewy.
I actually found out about this place on Jatbar, another food review website. I arrived at lunchtime. The place is extremely casual and reminds me of a BBQ dive that I could find in a small Texas town. It almost looks like it was a gas station in a past life.
I walked in and found that they do not accept credit or debit cards, but they do have an ATM machine that charges a $1.75 service charge.
I ordered the chopped pork sandwich and a chicken lunch platter.
I was delighted to see that they do not skimp on the portions. The sandwich was served on a large hoagie-style bun and there was plenty of meat. They put a tiny bit of BBQ sauce, but give you an extra cup of BBQ sauce so you can control the amount of sauce yourself. It looked so good!
I was disappointed to find that the meat was kind of dry and some of the pieces were hard. It almost seemed like they had taken all of the scraps of dry end pieces and chopped them up to make the sandwich. It also seemed to taste slightly gamey. The bun was delicious and perfect.
The chicken platter was pretty good. It seemed like the chicken was smoked or BBQ'd for a long time, so the meat was very tender. It might have been dry if it didn't have the BBQ sauce to go along with it.
Both of the entrees came with potato salad and beans. I am pretty picky about potato salad, but I really liked the potato salad. It was just right. The beans seemed canned and maybe they add honey? They weren't too bad, but maybe overcooked.
I have read other reviews that rave about the tri-tip so I will probably give BCC another chance and try the tri-tip sandwich or platter.

This place is a hole in the wall, without the wall. It's an old gas station converted into an eatery. The mini mart part is where you go for your food, and they yanked out the gas pumps and replaced them with tables outdoors under the awning. The food is quite good however. You choose from various selections of meat and then they pour BBQ sauce all over it and serve with some very tasty baked beans and some ordinary potato salad. I had the chicken and the ribs. The chicken was superb and the ribs were quite good.
Also, they only have drinks from vending machines that charge $1.50 for all items, most of which come in 20 ounce bottle. Parking can be rough and don't park in the metal shop next door. They come out angry with wrenches in their hands.
You just gotta love the simplicity of this hole-in-the-wall BBQ Joint. The BBQ sauce is a great compliment to the smoked meat which they offer.
I ordered the #1 lunch plate which gave me chicken, ribs and a huge hot link. The lunch plates are offered all day and cost around $8.

The debate between 4 and 5 stars was tough. However I'm basing this strictly on sheer taste and volume of food you get. If you were to drive by this place you wouldn't even look at it for how run down it looks. If it wasn't for the BBQ pits smoking away like factory smoke stacks, you wouldn't even know it served food. This is the place however that fills the air with aroma of BBQ heaven that you smell from 880 and 101.
They're geared mostly for lunch, however they did recently expand their hours for dinner for the summer. I'm not sure if they'll continue them in the fall and winter. It is a cash only establishment and they do have an ATM on site.
The amount of food you get for the price could feed you for the whole day. The chicken for the most part is really tender, and the ribs peel of the bone like butter on a hot knife. I'm a big fan of their hot-links, as they provide a really good kick. The brisket is also very stringy and tender, and tastes great in a sandwich.
They have an awesome deal for a meal for four, it can actually feed 6-8 people if you wanted to. This is definitely a great place to have catered to your work or party.
Parking can be a bit tricky as it's street parking only.

Huge portions, and real honest to gawd BBQ. I nearly always order the half-slab of ribs, but everything is good. Messy, yummy, carnivore GOOD!
Now, this is hardly a romantic setting- some few tables inside and an outside picnic area. Parking is hard to find around lunch, so come early or late.
If you eat inside you wil lhave to listen to bad daytime TV, so I choose outside, but then I smell like BBQ. So what, it's better than Hai-Karate anyday.
Not fancy, but the dude knows Q.
Jon-Jon's is a hole in the wall BBQ joint. Most people see it and say that they will check it out but never do such as a few of my co-workers.
The lunch specials are pretty good. You get three BBQ meat choices, bread, potato salad and beans for $8.50. Remember this is a cash only business so hit an ATM before you get out there.
The food is filling and you need to buy your drinks from a vending machine outside. If you want a quick bite and for it to be filling, check it out.
I love BBQ and for a quick bite during lunch, this is a must go.

I got the Tri-tip sandwich lunch for 8 dollars.
The tri-tip had good flavor, but was a bit dry, and I thought they were a little skimpy with the amount of meat.
I liked the sweet baked beans and I LOVED the potato salad. As noted in earlier reviews the sauce is pretty sweet, and I did like it, but I prefer a little more kick.
I'd try them again, maybe get the ribs.
Good news: The hot links are spicy and flavorful. The tri-tip is juicy and not even close to being overcooked. The chicken is tender and I love how the chicken skin takes all the bbq sauce and keeps it from the smokey meat. The ribs were one of the best I've had. The beans were very sweet and slightly creamy. And the potato salad went nicely with everything. I couldn't find anything really to complain about. Prices aren't too bad. They do serve sliced regular white or wheat bread. I expected cornbread but the sliced bread is good, too.
Bad news: I'm still burping up the taste of the bbq sauce and it's been about 6 hours since I ate dinner there. Sauce is tasty though. SOUVENIR!

I think it's pretty average BBQ, maybe above average for the South Bay. The chicken was nice and moist. The tri-tip was very tender and smokey, definetly the standout dish. The ribs were dry, plus they weren't trimmed enough. I hate it when places don't remove the tips with the little bones. I have to agree with people who said it was too sweet. The sauce lacked that necessary tangyness and I got tired od the overly sweet flavor pretty quickly. The beans were way too sweet. Potato salad was decent. I might go back because Everett and Jones is too far away for a lunch.

Thank you brother-in-law and Yelpers for the recommendation! Oh my goodness..why haven't I gone to this place before? It's a hole in the wall type of place, but man, do they know how to BBQ! After having a disappointing BBQ run the previous week, we made sure we made it to this place today!
It's a very humble place...lots of different people from different social background comes here. We ordered #10 and #11. As the lil tot and I waited from the Hubby to get the order, I sat quietly praying that it won't be horrible like the Armadillo Willy's we had the previous week. Hubby came tot he table and the lil tot and I perked up and opened our white Styrofoam dishes. The tri-tip was juicy and tender..as in melts in your mouth. The sauce was tangy with slight sweetness. The meat on the ribs was falling off the bone...you know someone put a lot of love in cooking it! The chicken was juicy and the hot link had a bit of a bite. Loved their potato salad and quite enjoyed their baked beans as well. It's a little sweet without being too sweet! The lil tot enjoyed eating the BBQ and got the sauce all over himself...but the best part, he ate all the meat and said, "I love meat!" Needless to say, we ordered another #10 to go...the lil tot loved making the tri tip sandwich with the soft soft bread they included! Oh, we will definitely be back!
I was introduced to this place by one of my co-workers a few years ago and have been coming since.
It's your true definition of a hole in the wall restaurant. In fact, it used to be a gas station from what I was told. The food is pretty good, though it really depends on who's on the bbq that day. Sometimes the meat comes out really dry, but for the most part, it comes out super tender, fall off the bone quality. My only wish is that they would do some kind of dry-rub on the ribs before cooking, as they just rely on their bbq sauce for flavoring.
Seriously, for such an affordable price for the amount of food you get, you won't really be disappointed.
I like this place
sure they give you pork and beans straight from the can
and the patato salad is the "old sanfrancisco" brand
which is made w/ out unions, i hate unions anyways
the ribs are made the real way where else you going to find that in the bay area?
the tritip/briscut is what i enjoy the most, they keep a close eye on it so its not over cooked
i have taken probably 10~15 friends here in the last 3 years and never has anyone been able to walk away with out grunting
its not the nicest place but just get the food to go
on a side story: i took 2 slabs of ribs to a japanese bbq party (my wifes friends) they punded those ribs like it was nobody's business
everyone else had to lug a bunch of left overs home
i felt bad because i didnt get any for myself!!!
hahaha
BBQ!!! I was introduced to this place many years ago and it hasn't changed much. The BBQ is very good to me and just what I expect from a BBQ joint.
