I visited this gym while traveling through Johnson City, TN. Overall the gym has everything you probably need and some stuff you don't. There is plenty of cardio machines to go around (no high-end models like the Woodway). There is a section for stretching/core, a section for weight machines, and a free weights area. I was really impressed by the free weights- three squat racks and an Olympic platform with bumper plates. The other reviewer is correct that there is a major deficit in plates- I only found two 10-lbs plates in the whole gym. The gym also has a cross fit area, aerobic classes, a barber shop, and a smoothie bar. The only real downside is that the whole place kind of smells like the pink air fresheners found in the bottom of a urinal, likely due to the high amount of carpeting. But let's face it, most gyms smell.
      Happy lifting!

The two weeks free is a ploy. They took me through their sales pitch and went over prices and then wanted to charge me $35 to try it out. Ridiculous.

In my opinion this is the best fitness club in the TRI. It's a very clean gym with a plethora of both cardio machines and free weights. They also have the latest line of Nautilus One machines which let you dial in the weight that you wish to lift without having to fuss with pins and weight stacks. Additionally, they offer group exercise classes to include zumba, yoga (both basic and advanced), and spinning among others.

The entire staff is very courteous and professional and will go out of their way to resolve any problem that you may have. They actually took time out to call and wish me a happy birthday this year as well as sending me a b-day card.

They also offer personal training, feature a juice/protein shake bar, and offer childcare.

My only complaint is that you sometimes have to walk nearly the entire gym floor in order to locate a specific plate. This is the case even during off peak times such as 1-3pm in the afternoon.

If you are looking for a place to workout in the TRI, I highly recommend that you check out this place.

Great gym with many different options. They offer lots of different classes, many different machines and equipment which is great. They have basket ball court, racquet ball, although I've never used those. They do have child care which I use every week, it's $5 for 1 and half hours workout for my two kids. I wish they did have a better way to keep watch on your kids, like a monitor on the main floor since the kids room is on the second floor. Also, bring your own headphones unless you like to workout to 80's music . The music changes to modern mix in the afternoon but if you go in early morning or up until noon, it's horrible music to workout to. Overall though, the gym has everything I need for a good workout and would recommend it to anyone looking in the area.
