How the heck do you not love a place like this. Lots of cool games, it makes you feel like a kid again. The only drawback: lots of loud, screaming kids. Oh well, the alternative is Dave and Busters, I suppose.
But I think this place has a killer salad bar and the pizza is actually pretty good, I'll say it. Make sure you try to get it straight outta the oven before it gets soggy sitting underneath the heat lamp. There's all different types of pizza, and I recall, there's even a "peanut-butter" pizza? Who would have thunk it?
Best part about this place is that it's all you can eat. Who doesn't love stuffing exorbinent quantities of food down their throat? It's the American way, baby!
I think you can go here during the week and it's cheaper than weekend.
Great place to bring kids, of course.
I thought this place was a movie theater the first time I drove by it. When I finally got around to checking it out I was Very happy with the food and the atmosphere. We got VIP cards and they really paid off for the five dollar price tag. They give you a free meal on the month of your birth day and they let you win something every time you go in there. So far I've gotten 3 free meals which is impressive having only gone there about five times (with other people). The only complaint I have is the games are sometimes broken, but you can get your money back pretty fast. The pizza is amazing in the respect that it tastes like pizza and chuck e cheeze taste like the one dollar pizza you buy at walmart.
How can you resist the outside of this place? It's sits somewhere in between a Chuckie Cheese and a Dave & Buster's. When we went it was near the end of the day so the place was looking rough around the edges. The pizza selection was nice and my partner in crime liked the peanut butter pizza. More importantly there was soft serve and games to play. We ended up with enough tickets to get a stuffed monkey. Not bad for being bored on a Friday night.
I was in the Delano/Bakersfield area last weekend and visited a handful of restaurants. We felt like pizza, so we came across John's Incredible Pizza Company which was close to the hotel we were staying at. The price of $8.99 for an all you can eat pizza buffet drew me in. The buffet included all you can eat pizzas, pastas, soups, salads, and desserts. There were about 20 types of pizza available, and if there was nothing there you liked, you can request to create a pizza to your liking. I didn't take advantage of that though. The pizzas were surprisingly good, the salad offered so much variety, and the fettuccine alfredo was decent. I didn't care of the soup.
After we ate, there's a huge area that resembled that of chuckie cheese with a lot games, arcades, bumper cars, and kart racing. You play games where you earn tickets that can be used to redeem prizes. I didn't really enjoy this experience as much because there were a lot of non-operational games. It was quite disappointing.
The food is worth the $8.99, and I could do without the games.
3 1/2 Stars
If you LOVE PIZZA, ARCADE GAMES AND GO KARTS THEN GO HERE.
I myself am not a fan of pizza, but there was a salad and pasta bar as well as some dessert. The place is very big and there's plenty of arcade games and you can turn your tickets in for prizes. The go kart was my favorite part, everything is indoors so that was a cool change, rain or shine this place is worth stopping by. Trust me the kids will love it.
i like to come here when i feel like blowing a wad of cash and getting sick on b-rated pizza
The pizza is OK, but there is a lot more to this place than just pizza. It has a decent salad bar with a pretty good variety of goodies, plus some so-so desert and a pasta station where you can combine your own pasta and sauce. The pasta station offers up a couple of different pastas and I think 3 different sauces.
There are different rooms set up for dining, some more kid friendly than others. The kid friendly zones tend to be more crowded and usually a lot noisier. If it is peace and quiet your looking for, go elsewhere, especially on a Friday or Saturday Night. It can get very busy and you may be in line waiting for the food at the different stations.
They do seem to have plenty of folks to clean up after you, but you will be serving yourself the food. You get your own drinks as well, including beer and wine.
John's does seem to be pretty well set up for the family scene, with TV's showing different shows in some of the different rooms. and games available, as well as a go cart racing track. Johns isn't a bad place, just very busy at times and very noisy, with your basic pizza.
