I do love Johnny's in a weird, dysfunctional way. It's not the best pizza in the world. If you're a lover of NY style thin crust or deep dish from Chicago, this probably isn't your thing, but it's the taste of my childhood and no trip to SBC is complete without Johnny's Pizza.
This location was built when I was in high school and we frequented in regularly. I have to say, the service on this visit was crappy at best. We phoned in our order ahead of time and when we arrived to pick it up they'd lost the order. They remembered taking it, but no one actually fired the pizzas. There was hardly an apology and nothing offered in return.
Johnny's isn't cheap either, about $13 for a large pizza with 1 topping.
Sounds like I'm griping about it, but really, I do love this taste of my childhood.
