Stopped in here for lunch on our way to Tacoma today.  It's right off I-5 and we've driven past it 100 times.  We were needing some eatin' and so decided to give it a try.

The hostess asked if we'd mind sitting in the lounge; we said sure.  There were only two other tables occupied (both parties of two) and it was quiet and relaxed in there, so that was nice.  The TV was playing the ACC tourney, so that was nice too.  (Especially since we got to see UNC lose; I am a Duke fan :--)  The chairs themselves, though, were low and on wheels and just pretty uncomfortable.  Were I to return, i would probably ask to not be seated in the lounge.

Our server was very friendly and efficient.  We both ordered sandwiches and salads.  Food was fine, if not particularly outstanding.  It was simple and basic, but that was all we were really wanting and so it just hit the spot.  I ordered a hot tea and it was of better quality and served up more reasonably than some other places I've been lately.  They get big points for that.

We would not go out of our way to go here again, but, if our travels take us back to Pierce County at lunch time again, I would see no reason to not stop back in.

This is a greasy spoon with personality.  I've been in several times and the food was great every visit.  Stick to your ribs good.  Nothing fancy.  Very laid back lounge also with lots of colorful regulars.

I've only been here five times in the past three years.  I was brought here three times, and stumbled in twice.  I've never had really good food here -- some was acceptable but other was only poor or even bad.  I know people who like the food; to each their own.  Service was casual.  Decor was eclectic (i.e. no theme).  Most everything was relatively clean.  Men's room was dirty.

The low-down:  I'll never come back as there are too many good places at which to eat.

Ok it looks like I am on a south end trip here. Ever hear of Johnny's seasonings? Well this is one of the restaurants owned by the same.

This is a solid diner. The breakfast is wonderful and way better than the poodle dog, really tasty beacon and grub omlets.

If you like deep fried seafood than this place is a great stop off/freeway rest stop. The Captains platter is solid with deep fried prawns, salmon, halibut, and scallops.

Johnny's has their own fishing boats and this makes sure that the seafood is very fresh.

Check it out if you leave the Seattle cocoon!

I came here for lunch and was seated next to a large group of elderly men talking very loudly about politics. It wasn't a pleasant experience. The fish was dry on the inside and greasy on the outside. The service was terrible. I don't think I'll ever be eating here again. Not worth it it.

We got there at 9 on a Sunday night, it was an hour before they closed and not busy. We were craving some good pie and thought a diner would be a good place to go. There was an assortment of weird people here which made it a little annoying. The food wasn't good and we think the pie was a frozen one, just microwaved. The service was okay but that's about it.
