Local Pub that has pretty darn good food. The beer selection is varied enough and extensive enough to suit anyone in your party.  The fact that it is right on/ near the water is pretty neat as well as you can easily stroll through Fells Point waterfront before or after your meal.

The steamed shrimp are large and worth it as is the sushi stand that was recently re-established there. It is a little dark inside and a table in the bar area can be hard to get at times, but this bar is unpretentious and a good pick if you want to see what Fells was like before all of the additions and renovations that has left the general area feeling less like a working waterfront neighborhood and more like Georgetown.

When I first moved to Baltimore my boyfriend and I stumbled across this place, and I was delighted to find a portobello mushroom sandwich on the menu.  Our waiter confessed that mine was the first they'd ever made, but it was still absolutely amazing.  Yum.

Just one problem however - it's since been removed from the menu, much to my chagrin.  I've heard rumors that it's trying to be an "upscale seafood restaurant," which it is so not.  The selection of vegetarian food is minimal, and the kitchen closes much too early.  While the quesadillas are pretty tasty, and the salads are nice, there's not even a black bean burger which is pretty standard veg*n pub fare and usually keeps me happy.  I think people forget that those who don't eat meat still like to drink and would prefer to do both in one location every once in a while!

Anyway, the lack of veggie burger or portobello sandwich is my main complaint (what else would I eat with fries? The fries, by the way, alternate between awesome and terrible - ask the bartenders, they'll tell you if it's a good fry night or not).  I give it four stars because one of my besties works there, and most of the other staff are super friendly.  Great place to drink, okay place to eat, probably a great place to eat if you're an omnivore.  Still, I keep going back.

Nice neighborhood hang-out.  Service is friendly, food is good if not spectacular.  Selections range from nicer dining room fare to simple pub grub and even sushi.  Prices are reasonable for a neighborhood haunt.  Can't say enough about the nice waitstaff - it is the kinda place you just want to drop into on a regular basis and hang.

Have to disagree about the crabcakes, I got the jumbo lump crab cakes and they shredded the lumps with the spices and filler and lung pieces, I asked the Chef why he did it, he said "to hold it together", I said "how do you know Its jumbo lump (as stated on menu at market price) if you break up the lumps?, He assured me it was all jumbo lump. This is the ONLY place in Baltimore who does this. ld it together.  Excellent sushi and other items.

This place slays.  Great decor and ambiance, great beers, excellent seafood, and an attentive staff.  When they saw our disappointment with one item being taken off the menu, they whipped it up special for us.  Great place!

If you love seafood; you'll love John Stevens LTD. I didn't have to ask for a thing because every time I have gone the service has been excellent even on the bar side. They also have a great outdoor area even for the winter. I recommend the "Stuffed Mahi"- the name alone makes my mouth water. Their crabcakes are huge and worth every penny. The prices are a bit steep only because I would like to eat there everyday. Check it out you will be pleased.
