Joe's is the best Italian food in the area! It's inexpensive and we've loved every experience we've had here. Their pizza is pretty good. We love the garlic knots and stuffed pastas like the stuffed manicotti. My husband gets the Stromboli and it is awesome!

Pizza crust was surprisingly crisp considering its oil and sauce levels. Sauce was fine, cheese was fine. Not memorable. The little pellets of sausage didn't have much flavor. The container of garlic at the table kind of saved it a bit.
It also saved the baked ziti, which was really a disappointment. Long ago, growing up in north Dallas, I used to frequent a cheap, local hole in the wall that made a baked ziti to die for - tangy thick sauce and a bit of ricotta and herbs combined with the pasta, topped with mozzarella and baked to a crisp. I remember pulling bites of it up with my fork, mulitple pieces of pasta stuck together in a big bite, with the cooked cheese dangling off the tines...
I thought that's what I would get at Joe's, based on the atmosphere and menu, but it was nothing of the kind. Instead of a cohesive baked dish, it was tube pasta tossed with a much, much too thin sauce and blobs of ricotta, no layer of mozzarella baked in... Each bite was a mess of slippery noodles falling off my fork, no sauce clinging, no cheese to be found. Not at all what baked ziti should be.
I had no problem with the service - not rude, just efficient. My kind of service, really. But based on initial reaction to the food, I probably won't make an effort to go back. Maybe a slice of pizza on its own if I am in the area and need a quick lunch. Otherwise, this place is out of sight, out of mind. -

Great place for authentic New York pizza, you even get the Brooklyn accent. I had the Chicken Stromboli. Lot's and lot's of cheese, could only eat half of it, but very flavorful. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. It did take a little longer than expected for some of our party's meals. They came out within 15 minutes of each other.

When I first moved to this area, I kept asking where to go for pizza and Joe's was always the answer. I have been twice and never again. I got sick both times. First time could have been anything but not when it happens a second time. Try your luck and see what you get.

A slice of cheese goes for $1.50 which is cheap by any standards. They have all you basic choices: white, everything, Sicilian etc. And the quality is good. The crust can be on the thick side for NY style and its sometimes a bit dry, but those are small complaints.
The atmosphere is very relaxed. It's a neighborhood setting and a good place to hang out. Lots of TVs everywhere and they're always showing sports.
Definitely a fun place to stop in. Grab a slice its the best for miles around. -

I had the cheese pizza, to feel the place out. It was good, a thin, crispy but not crackery crust, with a doughy top that provided enough bulk to keep the cheese on the bread when you chew. You can fold the slice, but sometimes the crust cracks laterally, requiring the pinky-lift. Two hands not neccessary, but still crisp--its New York pizza. The sauce was fair tasting and sweet, thankfully not overdone. The flavor overall was identical(understandably) to any Lisanti Foods based pizza joint, so its all about execution and service. The price was fair, I got reasonably full buying slice by slice for seven bucks.
The atmosphere was very predictable-which can seem either homey or contrived, depending on your mood. Sports meorabilia all over the walls except for the mandatory wall-art of the Manhattan skyline and FDNY raising a flag at the WTC rubble, two tvs, and Lisanti menu boards etc. Service was prompt, friendly, and unpretentious. Solid but unenlightening, this will likely be a lunch haunt for me in the future. -

The thing I like best about the place is the atmosphere - just like every pizza joint in NYC! Actually no, the thing I like best is that you can order a real Sicilian pie - (call ahead 30 mins).
Fast service, good food - what else do you want in a pizza place?
I'd give this 5-stars but I'm saving that for La Famiglia, whose basil-tomato slices are my absolute favorites...
If youre near Southlake, this is the place for pizza! -

Nothing fancy at this small eatery, just good food for a very reasonable price. The pizza is delicious, excellent Stromboli, and the linguine with white clam sauce are very good and the Cannelloni and Lasagna aren't shabby either.

Best pizza in the area! The Stromboli is delicious and my personal favorite. Prices are great, the guys who work there are nice and provide great service, and the place is great for relaxing and watching sports with anyone.

Sorry, but I don't get the rave reviews...everything is made out of the same bland white dough--whether its the bread or the pizza...and the same red sauce on everything....yeah its cheap but very little flavor

wow...this place is cheap, reliable, and has a pepperoni pizza that would put your italian grandma to shame. Did i mention reliable, i mean, the food is exactly the same every time, and be sure to try the fettucini alfredo. and if you go there more than 10 times, the guys there know you on a first name basis, and they make your pizza EXACTLY the way you want it. Great for mom if she doesnt want to cook.

Westlake, TX
Great New York style pizzas when there is so few to choose from in this area. I tried a slice of alfredo and a slice of pepperoni when it was brought up to my work. I can't remember the last time I had New york style pizza this good except for when I was in New York! The shop is a block away from Southlake town square so the next time you're in the area stop by and grab a slice or two.

This place is the best around! Good everything. Try to white pizza... it's awesome! All the other Italian place around here try to live up to this but can't. You have to walk up and order and when it's ready you go and get it. You refill your own drinks as well. You'll feel like your in Brooklyn while your there.
