Well, what can I say,I definately grew up on Joe's Itailan Villa Pizza. I always told Joey and Frank if they ever found out I was dying, they were to bring me the Largest thin crust sausage Pizza to my Death Bed.The reason being,"I wanna go to HEAVEN with a Joe's Italian Villa Pizza in my stomach before I go". I,ve been visiting them for more than 40+ years. They are 100% the best family owned business that I have ever known. The best they do with Pizza is consistenacy. I have never ever been disappointed. If you LOVE thin crust pizza with HOMEMADE ingrediants and made with FAMILY PRIDE you'd be cheating yourself of "ONE"of the BEST made thin Crust PIZZAS ever. Try it once you'll be hooked. I have had many other pizzas in my life and let me tell you this "I ALWAYS KEEP GOING BACK TO "JOE'S ITALIAN VILLA" mostly
because,"I Can't Find No Better." Thanks Frank and Joe God Bless you your family,
and lets not forget your DAD JOE SR. and your wonderful MOM as well.************** -

Wow, this is some good thin crust pizza! My husband and his sister grew up eating here but I had never been before and now I'm spoiled because I've yet to find thin crust pizza where I live that compares to this place.

Decided to come here for dinner the other day. We passed it up and didn't even know where it was. Didn't expect it to be in a shopping strip area.
Wasn't too busy for a Saturday night. We went with the thin crust sausage & mushroom pizza, thin crust cheese with extra cheese (for my sis husband), 2 orders of fries, hot wings and 2 pitchers of Miller Lite.
Fries - Crinkle cut style. Was crispy, but nothing special.
Hot Wings - Fried too hard and the sauce is heavy vinegar based and definitely has a kick to it.
Sausage & Mushroom Pizza - This is the style that me and my sister likes. We thought it was good, but the sauce was just a bit bland.
Cheese pizza - Had a small slice, but yeah a bit bland.
Waitress was nice and they came around to check on us a few times. It was good, but I wouldn't drive out of my way to come here though. -

This is some of the best Chicago style thin crust pizza I have ever had. The sausage is homemade by the owners, who both make the pizzas everyday. One of the owners is there making pizzas during the day, and his co owner brother is there at night. Their sausage is seriously the best sausage I have ever had on a pizza.
This place is as no frills and old fashioned as it gets. If you are looking for exotic menu items to put on a pizza, then go elsewhere. At Joe's Italian Villa, just keep it simple- a large cheese and sausage. Their pizza style is WELL DONE, and it is always done to perfection.
The atmosphere is very family friendly, and a baseball game or a hockey game will always be on t.v. The waitresses are always nice, and very accommodating to any family need. Again, with all due respect to Pat's Pizza and Pizano's on the North Side, Joe's Italian Villa is the very best, along with Villa Nova Pizza in Stickney.
Lastly, I'm not really sure why Vito and Nick's at 84th and Pulaski gets all the fame on the South Side. Yeah, it's good, but no where near as good as Joe's Italian Villa. Like I said, the sausage is homemade by the owners, and is the best sausage I have ever had. There only real competition is Villa Nova Pizza in Stickney. Pilots and flight attendants from Midway come in here routinely, along with every other blue collar fella from the nearby Clearing neighborhood of Chicago. When you start running into Chicago Streets and San guys and Chicago Coppers/Firefighters eating at a place with their families, the place is usually a good spot when it comes to food.
This place is a treasure. Hopefully, it will always be that way. -

Great thin crust pizza, pop in the pitcher always cold, White Sox or Blackhawks always playing on the tvs, and the staff will have you cracking up. Their homemade soups are to die for. Especially the Chicken and Dumpling every Wednesday.
I have coming here since they opened. Before that my dad and his family were ordering pizza from Sam when he was located on 63rd and Pulaski, and before that when they were located in Gage park.
My husband and I actually went on our first date here, he fell in love with Joes as well as me that night. (Thats what he says:)
My family has followed "Joes Italian Villa" wherever they go, and now my family and I will continue to do the same. -

Good thin crust pizza. It's a simple, longtime operation with a strong affinity for the Blackhawks. About your typical good Chicago area pizza joint that offers little else.
Unintentionally comical wait staff will serve you a "Peps" [sic] by the pitcher. Like the locals who insist on calling it "Za" (for pizza), things you eat in this part of town have been reduced to monosyllabic grunts. -

This place has been in our pizza rotation for a number of years. I wonder if I'd forgotten how good the pizza from here really is or if last night was a magical pizza night at Joe's, but last nights pizza was the best I'd ever had to Joe's!
We call our pizza order in as we drive out from the city . The girl who took the order wanted to know how many of us were dining in which no ones ever asked in the past. When we got there after 8 p.m. I could see why she asked. The place was was packed, more crowded then I'd ever seen it before. The crust is always cracker thin, but last night it seemed to really have a crunch to it, which held up for most of our devouring of the pie. We get a jumbo so after the pizza is sitting for awhile the center crust gets soggy, but not last night. The balance of cheese, sausage and mushroom was perfect. Their sausage has an excellent flavor, on the menu it says its homemade.
This is one of the best thin crust pizzas in the Chicago area. Period. -

I love this pizza place! My grandpa always use to joke that he saved my grandma from a life of servitude by meeting her at the original one! Pizza's are big and are around $20 for a jumbo. Try the cream of chicken soup! A Pitcher of pop is about $3.50. :) Its a casual pizza place that has been a great Friday night place for years! But the air conditioning is all that great because the kitchen is in the front of the restaurant!
