The employees are friendly, the pastries are baked fresh on site, but it's supposed to be a COFFEE shop, and therein lies the problem. The coffee sucks, as in ZERO stars. This is the basis for my rating.
As Pete S. mentioned, the coffee is "not strong enough"; I would go as far as saying it's watery, terrible and flavorless. I think it's Farmer Brothers, which is, in this day and age, absolutely awful (but chock full o' caffeine!).
I you like Denny's or Folger's or 7-11 coffee, you might be happy with the coffee here, otherwise, try Nevada Joe's Coffee on Main (Minden) or either of the Starbuck's shops in the area (note that the Gardnerville Starbuck's is preferred).

This nice little coffee shop has quite a bit of punch in small places. It has your sandwiches, fresh baked goods, coffee, expresso, and wine bar. If you keep your coffee cup, you can come back for free refills here. I had the mocha here. It wasn't strong enough for me. It almost tasted like coffee and hot chocolate mixed together. A small was only less than $3 with tax. I wasn't able to try their baked goods here (and it looked really good!) but I would say the coffee is about 3.5 stars.
