Joann has a sh*tty return policy if you lose your receipt... basically its only 50% store credit, whereas Michael's will give you the full price back on store credit.

Joann charges $30 for Wilton cake decorating classes. Michael's charges only $15 ($10 if you complete the course and get a coupon).

I just recently discovered that Michael's takes Joann 40% or 50% off coupons so I don't even have to bother going there anymore...

And finally, most of Michael's employees are much nicer than Joann's employees.

I checked this location because it is new and was supposed to be larger.  It is, which is nice.  The staff is pleasant and seems helpful.  Also great news is they will gladly take your Michael's coupons and honor them.  Their framing department is quite nice, lots of choices.  I will go back again.

This superstore opened a year ago.  It definately alot better than the smaller stores.  Very organized.  Bright!  

Since it is a bigger store they offer more like classes, birthday parties and framing (which is very similiar to Michaels)  Of course more selection of merchandise.  I will make a trip over there to purchase my items rather than my local Joanns.

It is a definate improvement than their old location on Farwell.  Only thing that it is further away but worth the trip since there are other stores like 1/2 Priced Books; Costco; Bed Bath and Beyond and alot of eating places.
