I highly recommend the Joann Deluxe Pedicure was amazing.
They pamper you feet and calfs with a massage, scrub your souls, add an sea salt srub that exfolifation treatment to remove rough dry sking, and a mask leaves your skin smooth like a baby's bottom.
The price was awesome for an hour of pleasure for your feet. This was recommended by my friend Allison and I totally will be back!
This place does precision mani/pedi's! The luxury boutique kind. But it takes a LONG time. I get fidgety around 1 hour, and this could go at least an hour and a half!
I am not big on getting my nails done as I have a phobia of catching a fungus however my sister was sweet enough to treat me to mani-pedi and eyebrow wax. I must say the location is nice, loved the decor. The lady who did my eyebrows did a GREAT job, she took her time and was very thorough. As for the actual man-pedi, am somewhat dissappointed. Don't get me wrong they did a good job, massage, hot towels, the works BUT WTF is up with the crusty nail polishes! I picked a nice suble color and granted my toes look good from a distance but when I examined my nails why did they appear as if the polish is lumpy! Unfortunately I did not notice until after we left the shop otherwise you better believe I would have demanded they change the color. So for future reference make sure you either take your own polish or wait until your nails are completely dry to ensure quality work. One more thing I would like to add is that I was a tad bit annoyed by the fact that when I asked for the disposable flipflops the manicurist felt compelled to say something in her native tongue. I am not sure what she said but I do highly dislike that because I get the feeling they are saying something negative or complaining, if thats the case be greatful you have a job and if you don't like what you do maybe you should change your career!
I came here today because my mom was bugging me to go get my nails done. I guess she was annoyed with the previous manicure I got from another salon. I was feeling pretty tired from karate maybe 20 minutes before and I decided I needed to relax. I walked in and everyyybodyyy greeted me and my mom with smiles. I was seated in a massage chair and they were commffyyyy! I chose the deluxe manicure and pedicure for $40. Oh man is it worth it! Just like their brochure said, "It will make you Wish you never have to leave." I really didn't want to leave. As I sat there while they were working on my hands and feet, I was looking around the nail salon and was impressed with how well decorated and clean it was. I even took a little peek behind the massage chairs where all the cords are and it's clean back there too. Anyways, I chose a light purple nail polish color and it turned out cute. I am really satisfied with how it turned out. No doubt, I will be back here again. I really recommend this nail salon[:
FABULOUS new shop. They have everything.. Nail, waxing and hair. And the best part is... its is super clean. Try this place out... I bet you anything this place will be your new favorite nail spot.
I tried Joann's because other reviewers mentioned how clean it is. And while yes, it is very clean - I was most impressed by the service. The staff is so friendly. I had tea and treats in my hand right after they sat me down in the massage chair. I felt so pampered. I've returned several times now, and always get a friendly greeting and the same great service.
Best in Alameda or anywhere for that matter. I have been a client of Joann's for 10 years and have NEVER found anyone as good.(believe me never). They give the best massages ever and my toes always look their best. Also the hair person named Long does an awesome job of color and cut and for a great price. I was pleasantly surprised.
