I'm not sure if it's just me but I guess I was spoiled when I lived in LA. The Jo-Ann's over there were awesome. I can't never find anything at these ones in the bay area. I wish they'd offer classes like the LA ones did too. I do get their email coupons and head over to Michael's. I never find anything at this store.. I do still head in just in case though.. *sighz* some day some day. They moved this store to a bigger place. Same things are there just more spread out. We'll see how long it takes for this place to get just as disorganized as the last one was.

Most of my Halloween costume came from this little place right here. I didn't get a packaged costume but either bought everything separately or made the "props" on my own.
My mom taught me how to use a sewing machine when I was younger so I taught myself how to to "DIY".
The only thing is I wish they had funkier fabrics and/or better color selection. I might like one particular material or pattern but its available in all the "wrong" colors.
Once I asked the little old lady worker a question and she proceeded to lead me to the McCall pattern catalogue and flipped through some pages with me. I pretended to be interested in the items she was showing me and I let her finish what she had to say as she went out of her way to show me what she thought was "adorable". I didn't have the heart to tell her that I'm not ever going to make one of those cookie cutter outfits.
